An interesting thought. If a sober person just talking to a friend who happens to use the F word as part of his normal speaking habits sits next to someone who complains to security only about the profanity, no other bad behavior. What happens?

I believe the NFL promotes it that way, but I have never seen Bills games that way myself.

Not a free pass as much as in some people minds being a drunken ahole is the game day experience. Sad really for all concerned, but it is what it is.

Bills Biggest Weaknesses Against the Jets

I blame the Jills for not coming out barefoot and distracting Rex. -
Jets were openly mocking the Bills
CodeMonkey replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or perhaps professional athletes who care more about winning than whining about what some fat !@#$ coach on the other team is doing? Bottom line is that in my opinion anyway I would hope they would worry more about their piss poor performance than Fatboy doing a back bump. -
As others have said, and no matter what kind of family friendly spin King Roger tries to put on it, a NFL game is no place for kids. It is not even a place for adults that aren't prepared for that kind of behavior from the intellectually stunted alcoholics whose idea of a good time is to drink themselves into a stupor before walking into the stadium. Those people are in the minority and you won't run into them every game, but you will be subjected to them. If you can't or don't wish to deal with that behavior then you do what I do and watch on TV with my kids. That's just the way it is.

Jets were openly mocking the Bills
CodeMonkey replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And if I were a leader and any player commented on the Rex back bump or anything else happening on the Jets sideline I would not so politely ask what the !@#$ they were doing watching the Jets sideline instead of working on a way to help their team. I think the fans read way more into the bulletin board, lets get fired up because of what someone on the other team says bull **** than any player does. -
Chan is not going to take a game against the Jets, or any other team in the AFC East, lightly or count on crowd noise winning a game.

Truer words may never have been spoken. -
What a lot of people don't seem to grasp is that we have only one offensive style. And it relies on the short game working. Take that away, as the Jets did perfectly, and the Bills offense is done. That's the bad news. The good news is no other defense we will see has the defensive players to completely take away the short game (except the Jets again in 3 weeks).

Already on NFL.com. He is a TE. Did someone get hurt?

Lindell busted up; Rayner signed

They probably sign someone for the short term. -
One thing I can hold onto from today's game

Didn't make the entire day any less sucky. But that did make me laugh. I'm glad he held otherwise they would not have shown the replay and we would have missed it. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
CodeMonkey replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think red flagging then made sense. He was going to call a timeout anyway and that just gave him a longer one. Plus who knows, maybe they get a better spot. On TV it looked to be a pretty accurate spot, but they only needed one chain link more. Now the play he came up with during the extended timeout is another discussion altogether. -
I'm not saying the offense was not to blame as well. They certainly showed nothing. But to blame how the Jets offense walked down the field time after time, including at the beginning of the game where fatigue could not be blamed, on the Bills offense is nonsense IMO. It's not the end of the world. The Bills got beat by a better team is all.

And its only the Bills opponents that do it and get away with it ... every week. Yup, sure thing.

In what universe did the Bills D look good? Holy crap, the Jets had their way with the Bills all day. The only reason the score was close at halftime was Sanchize giving the Bills a couple gifts. There were two reasons the Bills D was on the field so long. 1) The Bills offense could do nothing with the short game taken away by the Jets D. 2) The Bills D had no answer for the Jets offense, running or passing. Simple as that. The Bills D looked good you say????? Oy vey. Always is that way huh, win or loss it seems. I wonder why that is.

A Few Thoughts About The Game
CodeMonkey replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does no good to try and make excuses. We were out coached and out played in every aspect of the game. Period. Yes the Bills have injuries, but the Jets are every bit as banged up. The score should have been much worse but Sanchize gave us a few gifts in the first half that kept the score reasonable, and the Bills TD was in garbage time. I am getting very tired of the whining about bad calls. Every team gets good and bad calls. It comes from the refs being > 100 years old. It balances out and if you don't think so you need to take off your homer glasses. The great start the Bills got this season was due to playing above their talent level in combination with incredible luck (passes off of helmets and tips going right into the hands of a Bills defender for example). It had a lot of people thinking they had the talent to be a contender, they even had me thinking maybe my evaluation of their talent level might be off. But yesterday showed that as most of us thought at the start of the season, the Bills have a long rebuilding road ahead of them. They are on the right track to be sure, but they are by no means a serious contender ... yet. I'm sure sexy Rexy has already been on the phone to his bro. In fact, I suspect they talked before the game as well. Hopefully Gailey has some more tricks up his sleeve, but the Bills offense does not have the luxury of doing too many different things. As the Jets showed yesterday, you take away the short game from the Bills offense and it's pretty much game over. The good news is the cowgirls D does not have the talent to take away the short game like the Jets do. The Miami offense may have have found themselves at exactly the wrong time as well. That game is no longer a given. Going to be a tough stretch for the boys. -
A game for the ages is just a tad strong I think, but I do agree that it is a important game for both teams

Keys to a Bills Victory Sunday
CodeMonkey replied to VirginiaMike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it should be interesting to be sure. If the jets are able to take away the short/mid stuff from Fitz, which is how he makes his living, it will force the bills to go deeper more often and that is always a scary thing for bills fans. But Gailey is no dummy so I'd have to think he has something planned out other than going deep. If sanchize gets time to throw they should be able to put a couple points on the board as well. Like I said, should be interesting and every bit as close as the vegas line indicates. 12th man could have a serious impact on this game. -
Brad Smith - Are we using him correctly?
CodeMonkey replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brad Smith - Are we using him correctly? The Bills are 5-2 so my answer would be a resounding YES Besides if, God forbid, Fitz goes down for any length of time you are going to be very happy Smith is around.
