  1. The Bills store hasn't sold enough white jerseys.
  2. Wow, making excuses already? Way to get an early start on it.
  3. Fitz doesn't have the accuracy for that. The Bills benefited from PI on the one deep route yesterday. Generally I believe Gailey is correct in keeping Fitz throwing 15 yards or less.
  4. Even more accurately, our D destroyed their O. It was domination of the highest order, due largely to their recent injuries as pointed out above. Our O beat their D.
  5. I agree that looking strictly at skill level, Fitz is not worth that kind of money. But, the Bills need him and will for at least the next few years. Fitz is nothing if not smart. He and his agent recognized he was in the position of power and took full advantage of it. Good for him. The Bills got a good deal as they have the QB they need locked up for the time they will need him, and Fitz got a fantastic deal being paid like a top flight QB.
  6. At one time it was, but with all the new players not so much anymore. They are sissy-fying the game, and it has evolved to a game that relies on timing patterns and other such things that makes something as common as wind a problem. Also most fans do not want to sit in the rain all day, The NFL is all about the "fan experience" ... i.e. what makes the fans spend their money more. Get used to domes, they are the future.
  7. Offense: Score more points than the skins offense. Defense: Allow fewer points than the skins defense. Special Wish: See Spiller contribute significantly to the offense.
  8. I hear J.P. is hosting an event at his place
  9. I wonder this time with the Bills doing better if more people from Buffalo might head up north for the game.
  10. Probably what a lot of people said when the Bills named Fitz as a starter. Who knows.
  11. No, it was early and I was without coffee is my excuse
  12. EDIT: Removed because it was a stupid comment
  13. You see, this is the kind of complete illogical bull **** that makes me crazy. Did Maybin draft himself that high? If not they why the hell should his draft position enter into this conversation? If you have a problem with Maybins draft selection (and what Bills fan wouldn't), blame the Bills front office.
  14. Which also makes it incredibly unpalatable for a new owner to even buy the team. If that were to happen the family would have to lower the price to the point someone would buy the team. In any event this renovation has little to no bearing on the Bills relocating or not, IMHO.
  15. Yeah that's the only part that gives me gas too.
  16. Maybin, like everyone else, has strengths and weaknesses. The Bills could not figure out a way in their current scheme to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses so they cut him. The Jets could figure out how to utilize him properly in their scheme and Maybin is showing signs of life. He will most likely improve since for all intents and purposes this is his first real season in the proper setting and without being turned into a LB etc. In short, not the player for the Bills but possibly a decent player or better for the Jets. Just one of those things.
  17. I think more like the Bills coaches suck for not getting Maybin to play that well for them maybe?
  18. They may have taken away the 3 point home field advantage, or at least part of it, because of being in Toronto.
  19. What a concept huh, business owners paying for their own place of business .
  20. It will be interesting to see what kind of crowd is in Toronto Sunday. I believe this will be the first time the Bills have played a game there with a decent record and there is some optimism about the season. Will it be full Sunday, and with loud Bills fans or a generic crowd as it has been in the past? It should be a close game and having the crowd noise in their favor, like a real home game, could prove to be a deciding factor.
  21. I agree it is worth it to the Buffalo area, particularly if the rest of the state is footing the Bill. I do not agree it is worth it to the state. But no doubt the state will pay just like they did the Mets stadium referenced earlier. Whats a little more government waste huh.
  22. Come on Doc, you disappoint me. Do you seriously think a high percentage or NYS residents are Bills fans? Or give a **** about the Bills? I would bet less than half of the adults in the Greater Buffalo area would call themselves Bills fans, much less the entire state. As far as the Mets thing, read my post up above about that. Or to quote my Mom when I was about 5 ... "do two wrongs make a right?". I agree and I also do not blame the Bills. If the state was !@#$ing stupid enough to pay for my place of business I'd let them too.
  23. I agree completely! Everyone in NY should be pissed about that as well! I don't mean just the Bills stadium, all sports stadiums should be funded by the teams that get rich from them! Why should the billionaires and millionaires get bailed out by people barely making ends meet? It is insane. If I was to start a company in Buffalo that made widgets and would employ a couple thousand people and generate some corporate tax revenue, should I expect NYS to build me a building for my company then put 100 million into renovations to the building some years later? Of course not. Complete insanity.
  24. A small percentage of people in Buffalo follow the Bills, or even football at all. A ridiculously small percentage of people in New York State are Bills fans or even give a **** about the Bills. Why should they fund Ralphs business venture? If it was only the county tax dollars you might be able to make a small case for what you are saying. State wide you are pissing into the wind. And it is, and will always be, my contention that Bills fans and only Bills fans should fund the team. And that includes any stadium renovations.
  25. Yes I can see where it would be. I mean someone with Spillers production and all. Not even worth a discussion.
