  1. Filet of any size would be a nice change of pace from the **** sandwiches we have had for the last 13 years. Bring it on!
  2. Government workers and banks.
  3. Gailey outcoached no one. He did a worse job than Jauron all 3 years, just look at the record. And he did so with far superior players than Jauron had. Do I want DJ back, oh hell no. But facts are facts.
  4. The announcement of no price increase for seasons the day after the announcement of the Toronto series being extended 5 years with only 1 preseason game in Toronto. Coincidence? I think not
  5. Another good point. They are automatically not blacked out is more correct.
  6. Geez you are right, I had forgotten. Uhhhh then keep doing that! I had successfully blocked this poor excuse of a season right out of my mind I guess I corrected my original post.
  7. Speaking as strictly a TV watcher I like Toronto games. They are automatically televised not blacked out. I hope this year they wise up and make keep it a December game because they generally are blacked out when played at the Ralph.
  8. I agree and it makes sense for the TV watching public. But I would guess that the host city wants Saturday night for local establishments to have one big last money grab.
  9. It might have removed some of the sting for the season ticket holders if they moved one of the preseason games there each year as well. Blows to lose 5 regular season games yet pay full price for all but one of the preseason ones. But I can't imagine Rogers wanted even that one preseason game.
  10. Yup, that's the reason the Bills have sucked the last 13 years.
  11. The bigger question is what is the point of spending so much money on stadium renovations when the stadium is used so few times a year. One more or less is the smaller issue.
  12. The pro bowl is not a football game. It is a joke of a show. I didn't watch 1 second. My kids tried but gave up quickly. They shouldn't even have it. It serves no purpose except maybe to make a little extra money. The NHL all star game at least has the skills competitions the night before and they are pretty entertaining. The game itself is a glorified skate-and-shoot but they mic a few players and have conversations with them during the game. They at least make an attempt to make it watchable.
  13. Parents have the right to refuse medical treatment for their kids, can refuse to get them vaccinated etc. It would take a big change to do what you are suggesting is a given.
  14. I wasn't thinking of it as a player safety issue. I was thinking of it as a legal one. A baseline brain scan before NFL play and one after is probably not something the NFL lawyers would like to see for every player.
  15. OK that was a fairly disturbing article. Particularly this: All players entering the NFL getting a brain scan as a baseline is an excellent idea. Even entering college. Then it could be see how much damage was done earlier and how much during their tenure with the NFL. I can't imagine the NFL would think it is a good idea though, Would probably have to come from the players association.
  16. I suspect that Ralph, Ralphs family, and Russ Brandon do. As to the cut fitz now question, some people think that Buddy Nix is good at misdirection regarding the draft and FA. If Nix cut Fitz now, wouldn't that be tipping his hand as to what he was going to do with his first round draft pick?
  17. Exactly. You make an educated guess and hope for the best. Now not recognizing that Fitz was not the man so many years into his career is another story altogether.
  18. North first then (maybe) south. Football is ubiquitous in Texas and several other southern states. Whole towns empty out to go to high school football games some places. Up where I am you see parents and girlfriends in the stands and not many others.
  19. If I am the agent of a FA QB and I am afraid that on a team with a completely new coaching staff that Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to beat out my guy, then I am representing a backup QB at best.
  20. Given the game attendance I think the majority of people agree with you.
  21. If this article is true, then the number of kids playing football is already starting to decline. http://askcoachwolff.com/2012/08/12/dangers-of-concussions-new-numbers-suggest-fewer-kids-playing-tackle-football/
  22. NBA : "Where Amazing Happens" MLB: "Beyond Baseball" WNBA: "Expect Great" NFL: "Show Me The Money"
  23. From damage sustained as a kid playing football perhaps? I'm not saying the players are blameless mind you. But if the NFL withheld information from players about the dangers then they are culpable as well in my opinion.
  24. Or, he cared so much about wanting to play football at the highest possible level that he chose to do steroids (assuming he did). Even if what you say is true. The does not excuse the NFL. Problem with that is now the flood gates open for the family of every ex football player with a lawyer looking to get paid.
