  1. That's because it was stupid. SJ should concentrate on both the Bills and himself becoming relevant instead of trying to be a terrible comedian. Hardly worth getting upset over. Though most thinking Bills fans might feel a little embarassed.
  2. Buddy Nix? No chance. Just not his style. If Brandon is involved at all then you have a hope. He is a schemer. But not good ole boy Buddy.
  3. Game, set, match Pats* fan.
  4. I take that as an encouraging sign that Nix is probably standing his ground and won't overpay for a stopgap QB.
  5. Of course they won't. But if it endears the new HC to a subset of Bills fans then it isn't wasted effort.
  6. That's for the benefit of the fans going to games. Unless your pictures were from their practice facility (that fans don't go to) I fail to see the relevance.
  7. I'm not sure what is more sad. 1) A thread about if having pictures on a wall will help the team win more. And if so, what kinds of pictures should they be. or 2) My being so board I am participating in the thread
  8. Now that I like. Practically instant updates. I might have to get my wifi sniffer out when I'm at camp this summer
  9. I assume you are just mad because you can't put this on SJ. Go to a team with a young Peyton Manning and has a chance to do good things soon or a team with Kolb or Nassib and little to no chance of good things for a few years at least, Pretty easy decision for everyone I would think.
  10. Banners? Still in the college mindset it seems.
  11. Interesting read, thanks. If this guy is right then the Bills think about Kolb what many here thought about Fitz before last season, use him as a game manager and he will be OK. We will see.
  12. It doesn't count if you are just faking it
  13. After the past 13+ years by the Bills you can't say it isn't justified.
  14. Actually, he probably is. If it was one team he didn't perform with you can make that excuse. But he is past that. But I think that signing him was a good move, assuming the contract is for backup QB pay plus incentives. The Bills needed someone at least viable going into camp besides TJax. And who knows, maybe lightning will strike and Kolb will do something in Buffalo.
  15. The Sabres until they fire that steaming pile of worthless **** Darcy Regier.
  16. Because the inside of a hat fascinates him?
  17. Rumor is Palmer to the cards now so that explains why Kolb became available. Who knows, maybe Kolb will amount to something in Buffalo. The Bills are due for some good luck.
  18. Well there does seem to be a difference between Kolb and Fitz. Fitz was an iron man. He took serious physical abuse and rarely missed a snap. From what I read, Kolb has not been as durable. So FWIW, I suppose it's better that the backup would be TJax instead of pigpen.
  19. There has been speculation about that but no direct evidence. The bottom line is that Regier is the GM. And the team has only gone downhill since he was given the job. The team is a complete joke now and is starting a big fire sale. How he still has a job in the NHL is a great mystery to me. He obviously sucks at it.
  20. And I submit that taking a big gamble here is not the thing to do either. Who knows who the Bills end up with as a QB this season. TJax or worse perhaps. Even if Davis had a miracle happen, who throws it to him for his 1 or 2 years contract? I believe it makes more sense to use that cap space to take a shot at a few training camp cuts of other teams. The odds are better of something good, or at lease useable, coming out of that.
  21. I'll go you one better than that. Kudos to Nix for not going bigger on the offer (assuming he didn't). The injury to Davis was a bad one ... one that not many (if any) return from at their previous level. Signing Davis was a Merriman-like gamble. One worth taking if the price was right. But not to be taken if the price was too high. Ultimately I think Davis was going to resign with the skins. Nothing short of a Mario-offer-you-can't-refuse would have brought him to the B-Lo. And Nix would have had to be a complete moron to do that.
  22. I'm not quite as optimistic as you. The offense needs at a minimum a QB, a deep threat WR, and a competent catching and blocking TE. As far the the defense goes, with few exceptions every area except the line is suspect at least. The Bills have done little during free agency, either by design or just not being able to get anyone signed. And they have 6 draft choices. I'm inclined to call this another rebuild year and not expect much while Marrone and company get their feet under them and try and fill some of the holes much more than I would say the Bills are just a QB away from being competitive.
  23. Or when Nix and Gailey both started .... "Out with the old, in with the older"
  24. Winner. Manages to slam both the Bills and the Sabres in one clear concise statement!
