  1. Or maybe, just maybe, Marrone learned his lesson from Spiller regarding playing someone who is hurt and acts like a head coach and sits Lewis if necessary.
  2. An interesting phenomenon ... people lowering their expectations if a practice squad QB cannot start in favor of who the coaching staff decided is their actual backup QB
  3. Like I stated in another thread, a PS QB coming off a rough outing, Spiller probably out, and SJ13 probably hobbling I don't see the Bills offense scoring much against the KC D. Therefore it's going to take a superhuman effort by the Bills D and ST with an assist from a very loud 12th man to even give them a chance. 20-9 KC.
  4. 4 out of 8 at CBS actually. And (almost?) none had the Bills beating NO.
  5. Listed in the injury report as "doubtful". High ankle sprains take time.
  6. I work at Xerox. I don't know him but I'm going to ask around.
  7. That would be fun. Bring on the MoneyBall baby.
  8. A lot of pundits (at least at CBS) seem to agree that this is a very winnable game for the Bills. But with a PS QB, Spiller probably out, and SJ13 hobbling at least I have a hard time seeing the Bills putting points up against the Chiefs D. But hey, you never know.
  9. Kids today have the internet. They don't need TV to see boobies any more.
  10. Are you wearing an extra large cup or are you just happy to see me?
  11. 100% not the case at the Ralph. Though it sounds like it is in N.O. which is how it should be in my opinion. I make the game a family experience by watching it in my house with the family.
  12. A hostile crowd to the opposing team, i.e. making so much noise they can't hear themselves think, is wonderful. Extending that to the parking lot and opposing teams fans is not. It's very sad that people have such a negative experience in Buffalo. I'm sure it clouds their perception of the entire area. Words and more important, actions to live by.
  13. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/9 The CBS talking heads are giving the nod to the Bills this week, Yeah these are the same guys who thought Miami would pretty much roll over the Bills a couple weeks ago, but still
  14. Makes one wonder what those same people you saw would be writing on a Saints forum after going to a Saints game at the Ralph.
  15. CBS has 5-2 Bills with the spread and 4-3 Bills straight up. Which team is 3-5 and which 8-0? My favorite simulation site (http://www.sportsclu...st/Buffalo.html) has the most likely ending as the Bills going 4-4 the remainder of the season to finish the season 7-9. And their overall playoff chances at 5.9%.
  16. Hard to believe Buffalo tailgating being beaten by too many places (GB being a strong contender I would think). At least for home team fans.
  17. Dude, seriously. Do you follow football at all? I barely do except for the Bills but even I know the Stillers are 2-5 this year so far and lost to the freaking Raiders this past weekend. If Manuel is back by then I'd be very disappointed if the Bills lost that game much less have "the snot kicked out of us".
  18. You should be careful with your generalizations as well. Not everyone watching on TV is a superfan of tackle football. I think it is fair to say that most have never played at even a high school level much less higher. And many are probably women and children who might not know the game very well at all. What is obvious to one person might not be to everyone watching. A great example is watching Olympic hockey on TV. The announcers explain things like offsides every game which every hockey fan already knows. But a TV audience has a very wide range of knowledge of the game.
  19. I see where you are going with this and agree in principle. But I can't say injuries to both knees in his rookie season is any kind of blessing.
  20. You can say that about pretty much any team. Look at what Brady is doing with little to no talent in NE*.
  21. Sounds like some Bills "fans" ... i.e. the drunken idiots ... could learn a lot from Saints fans. I know of kids being verbally abused in the parking lot at the Ralph for wearing the opponents jersey. Completely unacceptable and embarrassing. I have never been to a Saints game, but I have been to N.O. and have always found it to be a friendly city and apparently many others in this thread have as well.
  22. As opposed to Lewis? Somebody has to start if Manuel can't go.
  23. That puzzles me. I'm no big expert in offensive schemes, in fact I'm not even a little one, but isn't a couple weeks enough time? I thought Hackett was keeping it pretty simple for Manuel, which should make it easier for a new QB to pick up. If Flynn was given first team reps this week he couldn't have enough of a handle on the offense? The Bills should have seen enough of Lewis by this point to want to try and evaluate Flynn, no? I was under the impression, perhaps wrongly, that this wasn't as hard to master as Gaileys "mega-mind" offensive scheme.
  24. Perhaps not. But after every game, every season you can come here and see threads and numerous posts about how the refs screwed the Bills over and generally cost them the game. The only way for that to happen would be a conspiracy.
  25. Officiating in the NFL is almost always going to be bad in my opinion. Too much going on at once, over-regulated to almost an absurd degree, and an average age of officials somewhere between 100 and 150 years old. Unless things are drastically changed, I think bad officiating is to be expected.
