That's actually a interesting concept. If a player lives in a state where it is legal, even if just medically, and it is not considered performance enhancing, should testing positive be a problem anymore?

A List For Future SB Half Time Entertainment

Ribs? Damn I'm coming to your party next year! -
True, he did very little in the SB. But he did manage one TD. Maybe Denver decided they were all-in to shut down Lynch and force Seattle to beat them in other ways, I don't know. But if so, those ways proved to be plentiful. In any event, if you look at the season as a whole, he had 1257 yards. Which is 300+ more than Spiller and Jackson. At the end of the day, not a bad seasons work. To me the SB came down to the #1 offense against the #1 defense. The #1 defense took it hands down. Lynch and the offense didn't do much, but they didn't really have to either.

Part of the problem are the rules themselves. If someone on the offense has a muscle spasm they get called for a false start for gods sake. Plus the refs themselves are too old to keep up in a lot of cases. The inconsistent calls are really just due to the refs seeing only some of the action on the field at any one time. The only way to remove this in my opinion is to develop an automated system that has a camera on every player and can look for penalties, in bounds or not, and everything else. Without this you are stuck with a handful of humans trying to enforce a seemingly endless list of [often worthless] rules. And where you have humans you will always have human error.

I disagree. The only unit on the Bills that was decent consistently was the defense. Pretty much the entire defensive coaching staff went to Cleveland. The Browns are loaded with draft picks in the first few rounds and should be able to get a promising QB plus some other supporting cast. Should they be up near the top of that list, no way. Should they be higher than the Bills, absolutely.

That's actually a great idea. She appeals to all age groups and wouldn't sex it up like Katy Perry would. -

Most of the "grandpa" bands sucked as well. The notable exception being McCartney. I thought Springsteen also did well. My wife and kids enjoyed Bruno last night. I didn't, but I don't like his music. The peppers were simply sad. I think last night was trying to do both. Bruno for the younger crowd and the peppers for the not so young crowd. -
It wasn't legal when he went there. Not that the legality of it is a big deal to him. Oh God no. Not what I've seen from Manuel so far. I certainly hope he gets to Wilsons level some day (this upcoming season would work for me), but by no means is he there now. Unless you meant Manuel playing for the Broncos, in that case I agree completely Basically I'm happy with the outcome. Lynch got a ring and Welker got denied. Works for me.

EJ knee surgery, Tim Graham questions, draft QB?

Not only a good, but probably a truthful answer. -

He clearly should have. But maybe a feud with him involved is good biz for him? Who knows what these guys think. -

So would you rather it go: TG: So EJ, what do you think of the coaching changes for the Bills? EJ: I'm really excited to get to work! I think it is going to be great to work with the new guys and have a great season! like every other dumb ass question these guys get asked constantly? Like the question or not, at least TG asked something different. If Manuel didn't like it, all he had to say was "next question". -

A local sportscaster has been there for the past week or so. He was on the radio this morning and said scalpers there are panicking. He said anyone could drive to NJ and find a cheap hotel about 30-40 miles from the stadium and could buy a ticket for under face value today if they wanted to. -
I have simply lost interest in football over the years. Between it being short bursts of action surrounded by longer amounts of inactivity, and all of the TV commercials, I just don't find it interesting enough anymore to watch teams I have nothing vested in. In fact I generally record Bills games and watch without the commercials which makes it MUCH better. I have been a Bills fan for a long time and I still follow them, go to camp etc. But if the Bills ever left the area I doubt I would watch football at all.
-
I could not care less about the game. I am not a football fan at all, I am only a Bills fan. So I have no idea what sports talk has been about the last 1.5 weeks. I'll be at a party where the game will be on, and I will have a look to see ... wait for it ... what the weather is doing to the fans (the "real ones" sitting outside that is, not the pussies indoors).

The Dallas Cowboys Coaching Staff...
CodeMonkey replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he fired Chan Gailey and it was the biggest mistake he ever made. He doesn't want to take a chance of something like that happening again! Plus maybe it is the new trend. Jim Hostler named Senior Offensive Assistant http://www.buffalobi...fa-5750de89b99f -

Until the anthem is over. Then it's inside with all the rich fans where you belong. So lower bowl sideline endzone tickets on ticket exchange for $5000 each. Lower bowl 50 yard line row 9. Someone has 8 tickets they are trying to sell for $25,572 each. Do people really pay that kind of money to see a football game? -
Bills hire Jim Schwartz DC, Todd Downing QB coach
CodeMonkey replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give em time. They haven't gotten over the kicked in the nuts feeling from Pettine leaving yet, Come camp, or even OTAs, the general feeling will be excitement over how dominant this defense is going to be. You know, like last summer. -
What did we get for Marshawn Lynch?
CodeMonkey replied to Jerry Jone's Toupee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
8 pages again on this. The Bills played it the safe, conservative way. It worked out fantastic for Lynch and even better for the birds. Nothing more to see here. Time to move along. -

If you find someone willing to bet that at even odds I'd pass. It must be a scam and they would never pay -
LB coach Chuck Driesbach relieved of duties
CodeMonkey replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Pettine liked the situation there. Good defensive talent already in place. Got to bring "his guys" with him. Lots of early round draft picks so if there is a QB they love they almost certainly can work a trade to get him and still have picks left to start assembling a supporting cast. He might like the situation in Cleveland and figured he probably wouldn't do any better than that next year so why wait. Plus I think when he said "no choice" Doc was referring to the Browns. -
Maybe we are. Or maybe Schwartz thinks they all suck.
-
I think you are missing a key point. Yes Marrone brought Pettine ... one year ago. Pettine brought a lot of the guys he is now bringing with him to Cleveland. At least 2 of which he had a long history with. And one of them had already been let go for whatever reason by the Bills. It is no reflection at all on Marrone. It is just a good reflection on Pettine that these guys want to stick with him. That is all. As far as expectations go, the roster is still unchanged. Neither Pettine or the coaches made one tackle this past season. In Tenn. apparently Schwartz was a good DC. I'd say if you have no expectations of next season by the defense you should take another look.
