ACLs just take a year, sorry, simple fact.

ACL injuries ALWAYS TAKE A YEAR, no matter how ahead of schedule they tell you someone is. McGahee is a great example of this, but not the only one. I challange anyone to tell me one player that has returned to effective strength in any sport, following a major ACL tear, in less than one year.

When would be the soonest we could do this? He is not going to be near 100% until at least November anyway the sooner we can open the roster spot the better.

Hi Tim: Now that OTAs are started is there any update on Demetrious Bell? Is it true he is now stronger, maybe enough to play some, early? I know everyone is putting up a brave face with Walker at LT for the season, but I think more than a few of us are still vaguely hopeful and even expecting, Bell to be the LT and Walker back to RT by the start of the season. Has Bell really built an NFL body or was that OBD leading us on? Thanks

He did do his time. If he has skills that can allow him to earn, he should have this chance. Redemption can be acheived for his crime and he paid a very heavy price already. Time for people to move on, let the guy try to live a good productive life.

Even though he is either a little troubled or an idiot, I wish him well. He had a couple good plays and I don't question the effort he put in, and the locker room seemed to like him too. Just a messed up guy, hopefully he can get it together for 2 or 3 years and build a nest egg of some kind for what may be a long hard retirement.
