Whitner is not getting what he could have gotten, had he played closer to the action and with more play making opportunities. Whitner is pretty average, don't think he will be getting big bucks. But maybe if he had been coached by Belichek or Cowher...

Matt Cassel is average and just made a fortune, because he had good coaching. You really think Trent and Marshawn and especially Roscoe would not be much better utilized by havign a good coach? Instead of the bills offering the fastest guy around fr a 4th rounder and finding no takers, a few decent receiving years, he may be fishing for a big contract right now. DJ is killing these guys.

Trent Edwards, Roscoe, Lee, Poz, these are all guys that may never meet their real potential because they were so horribly coached in their formative years. Sorry, factual.

He is costing players that could be much better lots of money with his inept coaching and teaching. They never can get to where they would with a better coach, and the next contracts or lack of interest from other teams, is the result. Of course if they suck but have a high motor, DJ is a blessing for them.

Agreed, he is doing the best possible job he can do given the tools and teaching he is being given. I feel bad for him, DJ may well be single-handedly consigning him from what may have been a great, even HOF career, to an afterthought, through his inept and horrible coaching. DJ costs lots of guys, lots of money and acclaim. I wish he would suffer some non-lethal, completely recoverable disease or accident, which would keep him out of coaching for a year or 2. Really. Does anybody really think that Boby April could not do better, and the stray dog in the parking lot, just as well?

Seems like Fred has all the attributes, he is like a slightly lesser Walter Payton. Soft-spoken, but wants to win and plays really great and really hard, when shown the opportunity. I just really really like this guy. Maybe it is because he had a chance to grow up (while keeping fresh legs), before hitting the NFL. Many guys in the NFL have difficulty when entering but seem first class citizens by the time they hit 30 or so. Still, few do it with as much class as fast freddy. Finally a really great draft choice by the FO. Oops, NOT.

Yes he's been very lucky. If you want to tell me he wasn't toking up in that car with his buddies, well, seems optimistic. Drug test failure could happen, it is not at all a reach. But lets hope not. His mistakes so far have been minor, really. The gun, big deal, and the hit and run victim, well, she WAS fat......

Just because he is older does not negate his abilities. In spot duty, kept fresh, I am sure Taylor can beat plenty of top younger guys still.

It is always shocking, those few times when the bills FO succeeds at something, anything at all, contract wise. Now if they would just re-up Kelsay with a guaranteed-bonus, sweetened deal un-ties to performance incentives, we would be set!!! lol seriously, Jackson is good news he is deserving.
