Sadly for me, the reason I hate the Maybin pick was because DJ picked him. I would have hated Oher too, because DJ picked him. I am convinced that he can do no right, the prick. So, given we picked him, Maybin will be a semi-dud a la Whitner, and Oher will have ten+ years of great service. That is my prediction. Hope not.

An assistant coach of Tampa Bay? What are "insider" qualifications, exactly?

Fred sported the gold teeth for several of his early years. For that alone, he deserves to make more money now than Rhodes. I like Rhodes though and I think it is a very solid acquisition for the team. Takes the heat off Oman as a possible need contributor.

Trent is about injuries really. The Adrian Wilson concusion killed his season last year. We have a brand new OL, not one returning player at the same position. So, Trent may well be knocked out again, quick. Lucky we have Fitzpatrick to ably fill in then. Proven talent. I think we do use a high draft pick on a qb next year.

This is right on. JP should be pissed he had to put up with horrible coaching, it cost him everything. If he had had decent coaching from day 1, things might be very different and he might be looking at a big contract now. That Jets gaffe last year (which is why his phone has not rung, likely) is a perfect example of bad coaching leading to a bad play. FU DJ!
