  1. I think its a good idea. The talent level between a LT available at 9 and 24 does not seem that great this year. Also, this idea enables us to KEEP a first round pick, (apperantly this point has been missed by other posters). The later pick will net us a good LT at a lower price and a great QB. I really don't see a downside here.
  2. I like this idea a lot. No more reaching for players high in the draft.
  3. I like the idea. If we can't get McNabb, he is MUCH better than a rookie QB or anyone currently on the roster. Also, you have to consider the success Gailey has had with much less talented QB's.
  4. the throwback version is not too bad. With that said, if you put on shoes with a sports team logo, your not going for well dressed or "cool."
  5. If he goes to OLB, who are the starting DE's? (I'm also assuming we move Maybin to OLB, becuase if Schobel is too small for DE, Maybin is def too small for DE.)
  6. Maybin, at OLB with a good coach, will be a beast. An NFL DE he is not.
  7. I like this draft, but I agree with the other poster that I would take Shipley over Pike.
  8. I voted McClain, but I would vote Suh, but I didn't look for his name because there is NO CHANCE he is there at 9. If he were, that would be an easy choice.
  9. They need to get rid of this guy immediately after this draft. In fact, I don't even buy the argument we need to keep him around for this draft. Keep all the scouts and let Nix draft, and get a new head college scout for next year. Hopefully the new assistant GM, who is from the Steelers (who draft VERY WELL), will have a large role in this draft.
  10. Yep, that's what you get for drafting a one year wonder
  11. Agree with your thoughts on Pierre. Humm...DE, Athletic Freak, one good year, remind us of anyone else?!?!?!
  12. The author is correct, but only to the point that you need a good QB to win. Even as the article itself points out, good quarterbacks are available later in the draft. Montana was not a 1st rounder, Brady was not a first rounder, etc. I think the difference between Pike, LaFevor or Clausen will turn out to be too small to justify spending a #9 on Clausen. Also, it does not appear that Clausen can carry a team; he had a loosing record at ND, and had two stud WR's.
  13. Not likely, just saying But agreed, Miller is a freaking beast. Can't wait to see him represent team USA.
  14. Soo many good ones. I'd have to go with Kelly, then Bruce.
  15. DL is available in FA, and the later rounds. There is no stud D lineman available in the first round at #9. Obvisouly, if Shu or McCoy are available at 9, take them. But since they won't be, the best player who may be available at 9, and that fits a position of need is McClain. Your post implies that the Bills were correct in drafting Maybin last year over a LB like Chusing just because Maybin is a DL. It's much better to not reach for a DL at #9,; THAT is what Donahoe/Levy would do. Take Arthur Jones or Wootton in a later round.
  16. A retro version is also available: http://www.espnshop.com/catalog/productdet...etricsDo--true/
  17. You're right. And, Maybin coming along slowly, you don't say!
  18. Depends. He is extremely lazy, which is why he is having troubles adopting to the NFL. His amazing talents carried him in college, but now he lacks the work ethic to win. It is reported in SI that when he signed his first contract he started talking about retirement. He is only in it for the $$. We need players that are motivated to WIN. So, perhaps we could take him on the gamble he grows up, but I wouldn't give anything above a 5th rounder for such a risk.
  19. I will be extremly pissed if we draft anyone with McClain on the board. The bills need QB, LB, and OT. There is little difference in this draft from an OT we would get at #9, and what we could get in the second round. But LB does not appear to be as deep. McClain is a game changer on D, draft him.
  20. I like it. Take him in the 3rd, and pick up McClain in 1st and OT Fox in 2nd.
