  1. The more I see and read about Cordy Glenn, the more I want the Bills to steer clear of him unless he falls to round 2. I don't think he will fare well against speed rushers in the NFL, and ultimately, I think he will end up being an average Guard or RT in the NFL.

Not a big fan of the Sanu pick either. I'd like a receiver who could stretch the field, opening things up for Stevie, Nelson, and Chandler. I'd prefer a guy like Chris Givens from Wake Forest in the 2nd round.

I do like the Nigel Bradham pick in round 3, but I'm really hoping for Bobby Wagner to fall to that spot. I think he's a better all around prospect at OLB.

LOVE the Josh Norman pick in round 4.

Not a huge fan of either of the two QB picks, and I agree with previous posts in that taking two developmental QB prospects would be silly.

    Just my .02

  2. Chris White Version 2.0.

    I hope you're not serious.

In my opinion, Kuechly would not be a reach if the Bills picked him at #10. The question is....where would he play on our defense? Barnett and Sheppard, by all accounts, seem to be firmly entrenched at the Will and Mike LB positions. They just re-signed Morrison, and it has been stated that he is the front runner to start at the Sam LB position. I would be disappointed if we drafted a player at #10, and he was not starting week 1. That's why I think WR or LT makes more sense in the 1st round.

  3. This is why I don't want to take a guy who has off the field Alcohol issues.

Funny....I don't want to take a college player who doesn't have some "alcohol issues."

Come on man....the kid made a couple mistakes, accepted his consequences, and then was a model citizen during his senior season. Ya know, he move back into the dorms, kept out of trouble, and worked as a janitor. Give the kid a break. We would be absolutely lucky if we had the option to draft Floyd at #10.

  4. Mock Draft:

Round 1- Trade back to either 16/18 and get another pick for next year- OT-Cordy Glenn- Georgia Not sure Glenn will be there at 16, but I love the pick

Round 2 (41) OLB- LaVonte David- Nebraska Bobby Wagner OLB Utah State

Round 3 (71) WR- Marvin McNutt- Iowa Chris Givens WR Wake Forest

    Round 4 (105) CB/S- Trumaine Johnson- Montana

Round 4 (124) OG- Nate Potter- Boise State Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin

Round 5 (144) TE- Michael Egnew- Missouri Zebrie Sanders OT Florida State

Round 5 (147) LB- Tank Carder- TCU

    I'll play

  5. We should go WR with the 10th pick ( FLOYD) 41st pick we take a CB OR LB . 71st pick we take a CB or LB whichever we dont take with the 41st. Then we take 3 offensive tackles in a row starting with both of our picks in the 4th round ( 105 124) then we take another OT with our first 5th round pick ( 144) . Buddy nix has said he would like to draft 2 tackles so i think taking 3 tackles in a row will serve us some good luck. we cant miss on all the 3 pick at offensive tackle right?

then with the rest of our pick we go QB CB LB WR

And which OT's do you predict being available in the 4th and 5th round?

  6. Here are my bold predictions for the 2012 season:

    1. Mckelvin has a breakout year, mostly due in part of the tremendous pass rush the Bills will have and because he's in a contract year. I think McLovin's impact will come mainly as the nickle corner, as I certainly do not see him as a starter at this point. He will have to compete with Justin Rodgers who played well down the stretch last season. Maybe he will get a couple picks, but I just don't see him having a major impact. Hope I'm wrong.

    2. Tebow is the Jet's starting QB by week 9. I would have to agree with this, however, I think that Sanchez will be the starter again by week 11.

    3. Mark Anderson has more sacks than Mario You might be right, but for the sake of that huge contract, I hope Super Mario leads the team in sacks.

    4. Peyton Manning will lead the Broncos to the AFC Championship game, while Luck struggles badly in Indy. I disagree with the Manning thing, and I'll wait until after the draft to make a prediction about Luck. See what kind of weapons they bring in to help him.

    5. The Bills sweep the division. No way in hell.

    What say you?

  7. Should be an interesting 1st round. When you're drafting at #10, you need to get a stud regardless of need. Starting to like the idea of another defensive lineman, specifically Fletcher Cox if he's there at #10. Guy is a monster and can play end or tackle in the mold of Justin Tuck. Giants have the blue-print on beating Brady and Pats. Bills would be wise to copy that model. Plus, Kyle Williams is coming off a pretty serious surgery.

Fletcher Cox a 4-3 DE in the mold of Justin Tuck? I think that's a bit of a stretch bro. Cox is 6'4" and all of 300 pounds...pure 4-3 DT. Justin Tuck is 6'5" 270 with vastly superior athletic ability. Cox is a sound prospect, and I definitely think we need to draft a DT this year, but not until after round 3.

  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we are lucky Minnesota will trade the third pick to gain choices, and therefore not drafting Kalil. Maybe then we could trade up a couple spots to get him. This isn't very likely but you never know. If Kalil is gone I don't think the other tackles are worthy of a 10th pick. I would take DeCastro, who many scouts say is the best guard prospect in 10 years. Take DeCastro and move Levitre to Left Tackle. That way you aren't reaching. DeCastro is worthy of being drafted 10th.

    What do you think?

Really dude? No, seriously? Nah

  9. Da Bills would really be lucky if any one of the top 6 fall to them at #10...

It would give them a better chance to trade down and pick up a extra draft pick..With Bell signing a 5 year deal with Philly the pressure now to fix the OLT position has greatly elevated... We gotta protect our mulimillion dollar QB more so now than ever... Philly picked up a injury prown LT in Bell and he has a really bad shoulder. Bills would not match the Philly offer...lets hope Buddy has a lot of luck with players falling to him in the draft. I am glad we now have 10 picks for we still have some hot positions to improve our talent level on..

I think most people on here agree that trading back for additional picks would be a good move, however, if one of the "can't miss" players falls to #10 (i.e., Blackmon, Claiborne, Kalil) why wouldn't we just pick them? I can definitely see wanting to trade back if Richardson falls to us, but if any of the aforementioned were to make it to #10, they would be really difficult to pass up IMO.

  10. Article about Rams benching Brown.

    Linkidy-link-link

What exactly does "tipping the snap" mean?

I have read some real positive stuff on-line about Jason Brown, especially from earlier in his career. Seems that his performance has declined as of late....but why? There don't appear to be any significant health issues. Maybe just playing on a garbage team did it to him? I'm intrigued by the possibility of bringing this guy in. Could be good for interior line depth....allow us to keep Urbik at RG if (god forbid) Wood gets injured.

  11. We could have 2 young studs at the position. I know we have more needs at other positions like WR OLB CB OT. BUT and its a big BUTT . If we could trade jackson for a 2nd or 3rd and have richardson and spiller . Jackson is 31 and richardson is 22? so what you guys think. I am not saying we should do i am simply asking would YOU do it?

Nope. The compensation we would receive for Fred Jackson would not be worth making the deal.

  12. Just a couple questions

    1. I thought Richardson or Tannehill being there at 10 gave us the greatest chance for a trade back but now a doubt either one drops- so are there ant other players that the Bills wouldn't want but another team would trade up for.

    2. If Cleveland were to take Tannehill at four is there any chance Miami takes Weeden at 8

    3. is DeCastro the player with least bust potential

    4. Ever year there seems to be one highly rated player who falls, who is that player this year

    1. I think Claiborne, Richardson, and Blackmon (depending upon what shakes out with the QB's) all have a chance of dropping to #10. I also think Floyd, DeCastro, and Kuechly might draw some trade-up interest from teams if they make it to #10.

    2. I highly doubt Miami would take Weeden at #8. I honestly think they are going to be content with Garrard/Moore going into this season, and are in a rebuilding mode. I call it "blow for Barkley."

    3. DeCastro, IMO is one of 5 or 6 players who are "can't miss" prospects in this draft. I would include Luck, Griffin, Richardson, Kalil, and Claiborne in that category. That said, I wouldn't be sad if we took DeCastro at #10...the guy is going to be an all-pro, and interior line depth is a good thing to have.

    4. I honestly think Quinton Coples will free fall into the very late 1st round....maybe even early 2nd round. Yes, this draft class is lacking quality pass-rushing DE's, but this guy has too many question marks.

  13. 1st Round, 10th Pick – Buffalo trades pick to Cardinals for 13th pick and 3rd Round pick #80, so Cardinals can draft David DeCastro before the Chiefs. With the 13th pick in the draft the Bills select Cordy Glenn, G/T, Georgia

2nd Round, 41st Pick - Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska

3rd Round, 71st Pick – Kirk Cousins, QB, Michigan State

3rd Round, 80th Pick from Cardinals – Marvin Jones, WR, California

4th Round, 105th Pick – Dwight Bentley, CB, Louisiana - Lafayette

4th Round, 124th Pick from Baltimore – Andrew Datko, OT, Florida State

5th Round, 144th Pick – Tank Carder, ILB, TCU

5th Round, 147th Pick from Seattle – David Molk, C, Michigan

    6th Round, 175th Pick – Matt Daniels, S, Duke

7th Round, 215th Pick – Justin Bethel, CB Presbyterian

7th Round, 251st Pick - Adrian Hamilton, DE, Prairie View A&M

I think Glenn will slide to the 2nd round, or be available via a trade back into the late-1st type situation. If this situation were to happen, I would much rather take Kirkpatrick, Gilmore, Kendall Wright or Kuechly at #13.

  14. Have been going back and forth between LT and WR. With D. Bell still not finding a team there remains a possibly he might come back.

Since we did such a great job on D so far this offseason I think the offense will get a new toy. So my first round pick would be....

    Micheal Floyd WR

Fitz needs another WR to take pressure off of Stevie. Plus he can catch balls when hes not really open. Think he will be the choice only if D.Bell is resigned. Imagine if you will Stevie, Fred, CJ, Floyd, Nelson on the field at the same time sweet.

    My alternate picks would be...

    Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama

    Luke Kuechly LB Boston College

    J. Martin LT Stanford

    Yawn

  15. who do you think will be this years breakout players?

My pick for offense is Marcus Easley and on defense because he is back to his natural position is Alex Carrington... that is if they can stay healthy

    I'll play.

On offense, I'll say that CJ Spiller has a break out year. Gets more carries, and is utilized more as a receiver. I'd like to see him get 15-20 touches per game.

BTW...I gave Chris Hairston strong consideration here. Just have a feeling about him.

On Defense, I venture to guess that Aaron Williams earns the starting CB job over McGee with Florence starting opposite him. Yes, he made some mistakes in his rookie year, but the kid has all the makings to be an absolute stud shut-down corner. With our improved pass rush, I predict he takes a huge step in that direction.
