  1.

    The reason is this:

I can't bear to enter or even witness yet another debate about 1) how good/bad Fitz is or 2) how good/bad Kelsay is, or 3) how much personnel authority Jauron had or 4) what position Carrington/Merriman will play or 5) whether the Merriman signing was a good move or not or 6) whether or not Stevie Johnson is a hip hop punk, or any of the other dozens of debates which repeat themselves daily on this forum.

Things that are interesting to me these days are a Vince Young interview, or the fact that because Eric Pears is out, that Cordy Glenn is starting at LT while Hairston has been moved to RT.

While these subjects appear not to interest the majority on this board, they are fascinating to me, and hopefully a few others.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Good post

How about these young corners looking good in OTA's. Ron Brooks? Justin Rodgers?

How about Mark "freaking" Anderson? Does he look like an absolute physical freak or what?

Reportedly Easley has been working hard in the weight room, is in good shape, and has also impressed in workouts.

Merriman is back in action, and Kyle Williams looks like he has made A LOT of progress.

I know it's just a bunch of guys running around in shorts, bit these are the kinds of things I'm interested in right now.

  2. Tweeted Time to send out the disconnect notices. Lights out is back. Cleared by his doctor. Hope so.

Wonder if he was cleared for "full participation" in the OTA's? I don't know his current condition exactly, but I would almost like to see hm brought along slowly similar to Kyle Williams and Terrence McGee. I think they will handle Merriman very carefully this off season.

  3. I know its a little early, but i just got off the phone with Directv and there god awful customer service. Just wondering if there is way us out of towners can catch all the Bills games without DirectTv? Is there a reliable live stream that might be cheaper? The only reason I keep Directv is for the Sunday Ticket and would love to be able to cancel their service.

I guess I can't relate to this anti-DirecTV sentiment. I have found their programming to be exceptional as compared to Dish, Time Warner, Verizon, etc... Their pricing (for what you get), and their customer service also seem to be very reasonable. Plus, they lowered the price of the Sunday Ticket by nearly 40% this year. You're paying $199 to be able to watch every single regular season game! To me, it's well worth it. I'm not even going to "shake them down" for a discount this year.

  4. There's no way I could ever work in a public school. The rules give all the power to the kids and far too many parents today are just !@#$ing retards. Thanks for doing what you do - it's largely a thankless and under appreciated endeavor.

My wife's school is about 85% "state of anarchy". A normal day there would have been the most talked about day of my entire upbringing. More rules apparently equals worse behavior.

Worst part of my job is dealing with irrational, unappreciative, many times apathetic, unreasonably demanding, and yes...sometimes f!*@ing retarded parents. I've had parents show up drunk or stoned to meetings....yeah no wonder little Jimbo stabbed three of his classmates with scissors this week. Sheesh!! I really am considering a career change.

  5. I've never seen one, where r u seeing movies?

Carousel Mall in Syracuse...Concord Mills Mall in the outskirts of Charlotte (as jboyst62 eluded to)...I've seen my fair share of altercations.

I once saw a grown man punch a woman in the face because she rudely answered her cell phone and talked for several minutes during the movie.

I saw a teenaged girl slap a woman after being confronted for throwing candy at her and her children from the back of the movie theater.

    It's a jungle out there.

You know why we didn't !@#$ with adults when we were 10? Because they'd beat our asses. Of course, our parents wouldn't have let us go to a movie theater without them at that age.

About the only time I ever go to the movies is when school is in session.

Many kids today have absolutely no respect for other people, particularly adults. Working as an educator for the past 9 years, I can attest to this. Of course, I attribute this in large part to sh**ty parenting. Let me hear that my son was throwing candy at people in the movie theater, or was blatantly disrespectful to an adult....he'd be walking around with 3 sneakers on. Two on his feet, and one in his a**!!

  6. And upon further reading, "chemical castration" isn't nearly as ugly as it sounds. It's essentially hormone therapy that reduces libido.

How is this not already happening everywhere?

Many sex offenders in this country "volunteer" to have this chemical castration. They use it in court during plea bargaining to get a reduced sentence. That's my understanding anyway.

I too am envisioning sulfuric acid being poured over some pervert's junk.

  7. I'm partial to this one. Buddy doesn't put up with baby bulls**t, and made it clear that players who don't want to Play for Buffalo "probably won't."

    This from Buffalo Rumblings...

Yesterday, GM Buddy Nix spoke with Shredd and Ragan on WEDG 103.3 to talk about the draft, and was asked about the future of his two free agent defensive backs. Nix made the organization's stance very clear.

"Drayton Florence, absolutely not," Nix said when asked if the two were done in Buffalo. "We think Drayton wants to be here, and we want him here. We're going to try to sign Drayton Florence. Donte Whitner, I don't think wants to be here, and he probably won't."

    :worthy:

  8. What about Scott Chandler or Stevie?

What about Easley, Graham, Clowney, or Gagan? Plax is a one-trick pony at this stage in his career. He is a good red-zone target because he is tall, athletic, and has good hands. Anyone who thinks that Plax would come in and stretch the field is kidding themselves. IMO, David Nelson and Scott Chandler (in particular) are very solid red-zone targets.

  9. I think we have enough talent at WR that someone will emerge but if some said you have to go all in to win this year and there is no tomorrow I'd try to get and sign Mike Wallace.

Mike Wallace is asking for Larry Fitzgerald type money.....that's why he hasn't received serious interest from any NFL teams. The Buffalo Bills certainly cannot afford him. I don't know why people still think this is an option

  10. TJ Graham is really, really, really fast and is good at catching the football

Chan is going to mold this kid into a Jeremy Maclin type WR. He's not gonna break a lot of tackles, he's probably not going to be a very good blocker, but if he's the type of WR who could give you a 85 yard TD from a 6 yard slant route. Be excited Bills fans!! Anything we get from Easley, Hagan, Jones, Clowney....yada yada is pure gravy.

  11. But VY may only be here for one year.

    That factors in too.

I suspect VY is a stop-gap measure at QB, and that the Bills brass have no intentions of keeping him around after this season. Heck, it's not even a lock that he will make it through training camp. A lot could change, however, if (god forbid) VY gets a lot of PT this season and performs well.

  12. I tend to ignore these early reports, but I did come away with some useful information from Gilmore's presser. Essentially, he said that Wannstache was "in his hip pocket" all weekend long, as was constantly encouraging him to be more physical with his WR, and use his hands more at the line of scrimmage. Information like this....how coaches are starting to teach these players and mold them into NFL caliber players, is more important than a report from John Clayton.

Nice to hear positive things though, as I'm sure Clayton hears "the buzz" about how all the other rookies are fairing at their respective camps.
