  1. If you really are that stupid you could make a ton of money. Vegas books have the Bills 100 to 1 they won't make the superbowl. You should put ten grand on the Bills to make it. If you're right you would win $1 million dollars on that 10K bet. Go for it dude, have some nads, you could become a MILLIONAIRE!:blush:

    That....hurt my feelings

  2. Egg salad

It's not that I don't like it, but I have bad memories from elementary school of this kid who sat across from me in the cafeteria. He had those big, chunky braces with multi-colored rubber bands. Every day (it seemed) his mother packed him an egg salad sandwich in his scooby doo lunch box. The egg salad would get stuck in his braces, and he talked with his mouth open a lot. Egg salad flew all over the place. Blechhh!!! Plus, boiling eggs in the house makes it smell like farts.

I'll eat just about anything else.

  3. Wonderful win against notre dame.

Makes you wonder-- why do these guys not feed Christmas in the post more. He can hit a 10-ft jump shot, or put ball on the ground, or pass well. Offense would run more smoothly going inside out.

How about grant? This kid is gone after next year.

Great win....which leaves me wondering...why don't they play like this all the time? You mentioned Rak being more involved in the gameplan this time around, and showing that he is more than just a big body in the middle. He's no Arinze, but the kid does have some moves down low and can shoot. I'm tired of this one-dimensional game planning by Boeheim, and would like to see more of this moving forward. I agree about Grant...he's a goner after next season. The most impressive think about him to me is his poise. He always looks like he belongs out there, and is confident. I like that.

Great game..grant needs to learn more body control then he will be awesome... do we really think MCW is gone after this year? He's a great player but still needs work on consistency

I still really do think MCW will leave after this year. Remember, NBA teams tend to draft on potential. MCW needs to work on his shot, and his handle leaves something to be desired at times, but he is such an explosive playmaker. I think he would be better served playing another year of college ball, but I think the enticement of being a lottery pick (and the $$) will be too much to pass up in the end.

  4. Then there is the running into the kicker that should had been roughing and a 15 w/automatic first down. Akers foot was still in the air... Then he go hurt and his kickoffs wer noticably shorter.

THEN it may come down to a free kick fair catch? LoL... Now way Akers could reach the endzone anymore! To start the game he was kicking it 8 yards deep from his 35. If the Ravens punter would have shanked the final kicker... No way Akers makes a free, teed FG from even his 45!!!

Give the MVP to the Ravens' punter!!!

Um, that was running into the kicker. Roughing the kicker is when a defender plows into him while upright and with malicious intent him when trying to block the kick. It's not even debatable, really, despite what the announcers said.

Although roughing the kicker is sometimes called when the kicker is perceived to be vulnerable to injury (i.e., when the kicker's foot is still in the air), there is nothing in the NFL rule book that states this. Ultimately it is up to the referee's judgement to determine the severity of contact and potential for injury. There also is no mention of "malicious intent" by the way. This from the NFL rule book...

    Rule 12 – Article 6

No defensive player may run into or rough a kicker who kicks from behind his line unless such contact:

    a) Is incidental to and after he has touched the kick in flight

    b) Is caused by the kicker’s own motions

    c) Occurs during a quick kick

    d) Occurs during a kick or after a run behind the line

    e) Occurs after the kicker recovers a loose ball on the ground or

    f) Is caused because a defender is blocked into the kicker

    Supplemental Notes –

    1) Avoiding the kicker is the primary responsibility of the defensive players if they do not touch the kick

    2) Any contact with the kicker by a single defensive player who has not touched the kick is running into the kicker

    3) Any unnecessary roughness committed by the defensive players is roughing the kicker. Severity of contact and potential for injury are to be considered

    4) When two defensive players are making a bona fide attempt to block a kick from scrimmage (punt, drop kick, and/or place kick) and one of them runs into the kicker after the kick has left the kicker’s foot at the same instant the second player blocks the kick, the foul for running into the kicker shall not be enforced, unless in the judgment of the referee, the player running into the kicker was clearly the direct cause of the kick being blocked.

    5) If in the judgment of the referee any of the above action is innecessary roughness, the penalty for roughing the kickershall be enforced from the previous spot as a foul during the kick.

So, I guess it is debatable...

  5. I suggest cutting Fitz, Kelsey, Brad Smith, and Terrance McGee, We would save about 15.5 million against the cap, have money to sign Levitre and Byrd

I am assuming, with the new regime in place, that there will be a lot of players released who just don't fit anymore. All of the players you mentioned are distinct possibilities. I also suspect that there may be 1 or 2 surprise cuts that will wow Bills nation. Mass carnage at OBD....LOVE IT!!

  6. Hearing rumors that Southerland will be eligible for the St. John's game on 2/10.

It's common knowledge that his case will be heard by the appeals board prior to the St. John's game. Did you hear any more "substantial" rumors than what we already know? My "source" on campus told me today that they know nothing at this point.

  7. You're right. My comment was born out of frustration. Just kills me to lose a game like that to Pitt (especially since I live in Pittsburgh ).

if we got anything out of our bigs, we'd beat those guys. that dope Adams outplayed Christmas, which is shameful.

Oh,well-- on to notre dame in what looks like a must win.

Oh god....at the end of the game, when Talib Zanna got that offensive board over three Syracuse players (I believe Christmas, Grant, and Keita) I very nearly kicked a hole in my television. Just pitiful, and completely exemplified Syracuse's effort and intensity on that day. I remembered how expensive my television was, however, so I chose to turn off the TV and go shovel the driveway.

I also agree, Notre Dame at home tonight is a MUST win. Won't be easy.

  8. Had the 49ers scored a TD on last trip I would have won 3,500.

Had to piss a lot of people off with the safety .

Conversely, my wife won $500 with that safety. She didn't fully understand her potential for winning until I explained to her why the Ravens might take a safety to run some time off the clock. She then said "why would they give them 2 points if they are trying to win?" I told her "just because" and then we celebrated her win. Women...

  9. Sounds like some one is a Glennon or a Nassib fan ! These guys were under a bit of pressure to get the job done due to the clock & if that shows any thing about how they play under pressure weather it be on the field or in a competition it tells me that it's not a good reaction.

And if you would like to judge them n their game presence then just look at the senior bowl footage...

And then you can see it first hand. I for one just don't want it to be in a Bills uni !!!

I just watched the QB's throw. Didn't see anything that changed my opinion of any of the QB's. FWIW...EJ Manuel looked the best of all the QB's. I agree with other posters, however, that these "skills competitions" aren't really good for evaluating talent/potential. I honestly don't put too much stock into the senior bowl either. Unfamiliar offensive scheme, unfamiliar recievers, etc...

  10. What did you guys expect? Pitt owns us. Same beat down year after year in the same way. Even in 03 when we won it all, they smoked us at the Pete.

They out- physical us, plain and simple.

I wish it were that simple JR. I would agree if we executed on offense and matched their physicality/intensity on defense. I haven't seen the Cuse 2-3 get exploited down low in.....well, I can't remember how long. Trevor Cooney gets some substantial minutes, yet he doesn't even attempt to get open or take a shot? Pittsburgh always plays us tough, and I expected a scrappy game. This Pitt team isn't nearly as good as in years past though. They got beat by Rutgers for chrissakes! We should have won this game IMO.

  11. Do they ever throw the flag for too many men on the field or is it just OK to do that in Madden?

"43 is the mike. 43 is the mike."

Christ. If I see Bryan Scott playing LB in ANY of our defensive schemes, I'll puke.

    GO BILLS!!!

Agreed....Bryan Scott clearly is not a linebacker or a safety. He definitely is not a nickle linebacker. He needs to go away, and I suspect he will.

  12. One good thing I saw was great defense by cooney...that's about it...can't pin this on missing dajuan...Pitt dominated the entire game

Yeah, no excuses to be made here. It appears as though Jim Boeheim has completely abandoned the outside shot. This doesn't settle well with me. I know we aren't exactly shooting the ball well from outside, but why not draw up some plays to free up Triche/MCW/Cooney to take some outside shots? Could it hurt considering we have no offensive presence down low? Other than garbage time, I don't know if Syracuse took a 3 point shot in the 2nd half.

  13. BTW, just saw on y DVR that it is set to record The Layover in Seattle with Bourdain. I know not everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoy this show, great overview of the highlights of what to do in a city.

Travel Channel 9 eastern on Monday.

Love Anthony Bourdain...will definitely have to watch the show. They already have a list of the restaurants he visited online, but I haven't heard of any of them.

Wife and her Mom went as tourists for a long weekend last fall. They really enjoyed this two hour guided walking tour of the market

    http://www.savorseattletours.com/

She said best resturant they went to was Palace Kitchen

    http://tomdouglas.co.../palace-kitchen

They also enjoyed very much place called Barolo

That tour of the market looks pretty cool...as long as my tour guide in not the guy in the video...lol. That guy looks like a real weenie. Thanks for the suggestions

  14. Another no-show today.

MCW has been exposed in BE play, IMO. He's struggled against physical, man-to-man teams, and has been very poor finishing.

Rebounding sucked as usual. No contribution from the bigs or the bench.

MCW again trying to put the team on his shoulders when he doesn't need to....turning the ball over, and taking very bad shots. I love Jerami Grant...really do...but he consistently plays out of control and struggles to finish. We have absolutely no offensive presence down low which kills us, and our guards can't shoot the ball from outside. I know we lost a very physical game in a hostile environment today, but our showing was just pathetic.

I could go on and on here...just disgusted.

Edit: Oh yeah, did anyone see Brandon Triche's pre-game "dance" in the tunnel? It looked like he was having a limp wristed seizure. WFT was that? lol

  15. Tried to rent the movie Sinister everywhere (heard it fuggin disturbing), but I could not find it. I ended up going with Prometheus. Not a true horror movie per se, but it came highly recommended by a friend at work. I guess it's the prequel to the 1st Aliens movie.
