If my math is correct you would have been about 4 years old when you saw The Dead in '93 (You say you were a senior in HS in 2007)? That's a pretty serious musical addiction!
Haha...the BB King show was actually in 1997, my senior year of high school. I was born in 1979, and was about 14 years old when I went to to that Dead show at Rich Stadium.

I just don't know why they didn't sign him earlier!? We gave up Andy to keep him, and we don't sign him?!
They did attempt to sign him prior to free agency, but the two sides couldn't come to terms. They attempted again to negotiate with him, even after the franchise tag was assigned, and still haven't come to an agreement. It's not like the Bills aren't trying. Have patienceman...these negotiations are a chess match.
I'm confident Byrd will at least sign his franchise tender before mandatory team mini-camps. He will be motivated to sign long-term, as the Bills potentially could use the franchise tag on him for the next 2 seasons.

Mel Kiper is the least credible of all the NFL draft "talking heads" IMO. Besides, these draft grades are basically meaningless to me.

That's a BIG negative!!! I'd rather have testicle surgery without anesthesia

Bold... likely ludicrous. There's no clear-cut number one receiver on the roster.
Bold, yes. I don't know about ludicrous though. Stevie and Woods alone make a pretty darn good receiving tandem on their own. Rodgers has the potential, if he keeps his head on straight, to be an ELITE WR...better than both Stevie and Woods. To say "best WR in 3 years" may be a pretty big leap of faith, but I honestly think the potential is there.

Sheesh!! I am so envious of you guys and your concert experiences! I do have some pretty good concert memories of my own though.
1. BB King - Landmark Theatre in Syracuse 03/03/1997 - What can I say? I was a senior in high school, and had the priviledge to see an absolute legend. Had great seats about 7 or 8 rows from the stage. He was absolutely amazing.
2. Grateful Dead - Rich Stadium 06/13/1993 - Again, I was pretty young, but having an older brother I was exposed to some pretty great music at a young age. Some of my friends though I was weird because I wasn't into much of the "popular" music of that time, but I knew what good music sounded like. My Brother let me tag along to this show with him and a bunch og his buddies. Incredible set list including some of my favorites...Tennessee Jed, Me and My Uncle, Mexicali Blues, Samson and Delilah, Long Way Home, Truckin'. Amazing.
3. Phish - Marine Midland Arena - 10/19/1996 - Second set Split Open and Melt, Fluffhead, Swept Away>Steep>Run Like an Antelope was one of the most incredible segments of live music I have ever experienced, I have seen Phish 7 or 8 times since, and they have never been as "dialed in" as they were on this evening.

The Manuel pick seems to be drawing a lot of criticism, but I love it. I had him and Barkley on the top of my QB list, but I was leaning toward him because of his upside. I honestly don't think he has to come in and start right away, and I would be perfecty fine with that.
Love, love, love the Robert Woods pick!! I had him as my #2 WR behind Tavon Austin. I feel he's much more polished that Patterson, and will step in right away as the #2 WR. The only other WR I wanted this early was Hopkins, but he was gone. Again, tremendously pleased with this pick.
The Kiko Alonso pick is growing on me. Honestly, I was screaming for a TE here....either Travis Kelce or Gavin Escobar. If we were going LB with this pick, I liked Arthur Brown or Jamie Collins. After learning more about this pick, however, I see why they preferred this guy because of his scheme versatility. Great in coverage, stout against the run, and he's a playmaker. Really, he's a 3 down plug and play linebacker that can play any LB position on the field. Love that he has a "nastiness" about him too.
The Marquise Goodwin pick was the first pick that truly left me scratching my head. I remember hearing Buddy comment about how he liked him so much during the Senior Bowl, and you can't ignore his speed, but I just think this pick could have been spent better elsewhere. I hope he prove me wrong. With Kelce and Escobar gone, I was yelling for Jordan Reed here.
The more I read about Duke Williams, the more I like this pick. Seems like he will start right away, and is a well rounded safety prospect. Again, I like that nastiness that he will add to the defense. Honestly, I was hoping and praying for Barrett Jones here.
Jonathan Meeks? What can I say about this pick? We'll see what happens. I was hoping for Brandon Jenkins here or a CB.
I love the Dustin Hopkins pick. I actually called it before the pick was made. I really think it's time for an upgrade at kicker, and Hopkins was the #1 kicking prospect on most people's boards. I think people tend to undervalue kickers in the draft, but if you can get a really, really good one I think it is worth a 6th rounder. Let's hope Hopkins can be that guy.
I don't know what to say about TE Chris Gragg. It's a 7th round pick, so I don't think he has much of a chance to make the team. Who know's though, prior to injury this season, he had two really nice games in a row. Strictly a pass catching TE....not much of a blocker. I was hoping for OLB Chase Thomas here.

I still can't understand why he made the final roster last year. Yeah, the guy can do a lot of different things, but he doesn't do any of them well. C-YA Brad Smith....thanks for the memories
-
Why are you guys up so late? west coast?
Alaska. Draft starts at 8am for me tomorrow. Better get to bed.
-
I'd rather use our 7th round pick on a kicker. Ryan Lindell is over the hill.
-
It's especially important for raw guys that can very well sit for a year. I could even see Kolb playing the whole year, unless he gets hurt or sucks terribly, both of which are entirely possible.
I'd be shocked if EJ didn't win the starting job in training camp. That said, I wouldn't be horribly disappointed if he didn't start right away. I just think with all these speedy WR's, Marrone and Hackett are going to want someone who can air it out.
-
The concern was with Chip Kelly at Philadelphia. He heavily recruited him to Oregon. He has the skill set to fit his system. The belief is he would have drafted him in the 2nd round or possibly traded to a reachable point in the first round to select him.
Don't come around here with your "reasonable speculation." I got my torches and pitchforks ready to storm the gates at OBD!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
He had a DUI and broke into someone's house while drunk. That is significantly worse than just "getting in trouble for drinking in college." I don't buy for a second that he's quit drinking.
Plenty of people get disciplined by their university and are referred to Health Services, internal psychological counseling, etc; most aren't arrested twice for breaking-and-entering and dangerous driving. He obviously can't control his behavior while drinking.
The problem isn't alcohol- it's the legal issues and the fact that, for him, they stem from alcohol.
Like...don't be such a square daddy-o!! I'll vouch for the kid! Didn't you have any fun in college? I committed a few crimes while being intoxicated, and I turned out just fine. Just ask my parole officer

We now have 2 WR's with world class speed and a QB who can actually hit them in stride on a go route. That, my friends, is a beautiful thing
Defenses will no longer be able to stack the box against this offense. Glad I kept CJ Spiller in my keeper league because he's going to have one hell of a season.
-
I'm gonna go with no here. Rex Ryan on the other hand....
-
NO
I would have went;
1. WR Cordarelle Patterson
2. CB Johnthan Banks
2.TE Vance Mcdonald
3. WR Chris Harper
Thank goodness you're not our GM BB. Landry Jones would be our starting QB and John Skelton would be playing outside linebacker
-
As mentioned earlier Jesse Williams DE/DT would represent the best value, as he had a late 1st round grade. I'd like to see Barrett Jones G/C, Jordan Poyer CB, or Brian Schwenke G/C in round 4. Joseph Fauria TE, Bacarri Rambo S, David Quessenberry OT, Duke Williams S, JJ. Wilcox S, JC Tretter G, and Dion Sims TE are some players I'd wouldn't mind seeing in the latter rounds.
-
He's a kid, and got in trouble for drinking in college, so that makes him an alcoholic? Sheesh!!!
-
Ehhhhhh.........no.
-
after the past 3 drafts do you really think has a clue?
I think the Bills' scouting dept did a really nice job in the 1st round. They picked up extra picks and still got the QB they wanted. How much of that is attributable to Buddy Nix is questionable. I happen to think that Doug Whaley is starting to have more "pull" with regard to the personnel decisions. Regardless, who are you to criticize BB? What makes you so certain that drafting EJ Manuel was a bad decision? Can you see the future?

Every time ESPN showed Geno in the second half of the round he had his head hung low. Of course there's the chance that the camera crew picked and chose its times to show him in a dismayed light but odds are against it. He hung his head low and he kept it low. A little texting here and there is fine but man, if you are confident in your abilities and in what you have to offer then hold your head up high and keep it up. To me how he reacted to unexpected bumps in the road showed a lot. Perhaps I'm reading too much into this but maybe not. What reveals a man's character is how he handles adversity. Geno did not handle it well at all. If anyone had told him how to handle it, he did not take the advice. This could be very telling.
And therein the drop continues...
He'll go in the top half of round 2. If Jacksonville doesn't take him I think Philly will. JMO

WR: Woods, Hunter, & Allen
TE: Ertz & Kelce
LB: Minter & Brown
DB: Banks & Cyprien
I would be most happy with Robert Woods and Zach Ertz in round 2, but would be happy with any of these players as long as one of them is a WR.
-
I think the Jags will take him at #33.
-
Nice work! I like Robert Woods a little more than I like Justin Hunter, but I'd be happy either way. I like Jamie Collins a lot, but I think I'd rather have DJ Swearinger or Jonathan Banks in that spot. I don't know much about your later round picks, but I'd like to see a versatile C/G guy in there somewhere. I like JC Tretter from Cornell. JMHO.
Again, very well thought out.

Spiller isn't a free agent until 2016.
Jarius Byrd, Eric Wood, Alan Branch, Alex Carrington, Scott Chandler, Tashard Choice, Tavaris Jackson, Arthur Moats, Torell Troup, and Sam Young will all be noteworthy UFA's in 2014.
Of those players, I expect Buffalo attempts to extend Byrd, Wood, Carrington, Chandler, and maybe Sam Young (depending on what he does this season). Obviously, the priority with go to Byrd and Wood.
