absolutely agree that CJ needs as many touches as he can handle, and with the addition of some of the weapons around him, he may be even more dangerous this year. but, as good as he is, and as good as he could be, i think freddy is still very important to this team. his value to the locker room should not be taken lightly, his role as a mentor to the youngsters, and just the drive and work ethic he has shown throughout his carreer. he may be approaching the end of his carreer, but i believe he still has tremendous value as a player on this team.
Agreed about Freddy. I think many Bills fans have dismissed him after last season, however, I still think he has a lot to offer this offense. I don't buy into that "well he's a running back in his 30's so he must be washed-up" mentality. CJ has earned the lions share of the carries, but Freddy can still make a significant inpact with 10 touches per game.

My brother got into a scuffle with Biscuit and his homies at a club in Buffalo a while back. That is all...

Do you have to stand to make noise? I get the concept of trying to disrupt the opponents offense. But do you have to stand to do so?
If the people behind you are telling you to shut up I am totally on your side. But if like you said, it is only to sit down I am on their side.
That's another reason I like to watch at home. Considerably less drama. I only have my wife telling me to shut up
Yes, it is a scientific fact that you can yell louder from a standing position

Don't forget our rookie head coach of the year (RHCOY), Doug Marrone

I think we've arrived at a distinction here.
I don't really have a problem with people standing up but I don't have a problem with people who don't want to stand up either.
I understand both sides. Personally I feel that standing up is only necessary when people in front of you are standing up and you have to do it also just so you can see the action. Other than that, there's no reason to stand up. I can make just as much noise simultaneously yelling and clapping when I'm sitting down as when I'm standing up.
To Johnny Hammersticks, I could understand people in a section telling you to sit down but I could not understand people in a section telling you to be quiet.
Were they really telling you to be quiet or were they possibly just telling you to sit down?
No, the people behind us really were really yelling at us to sit down and be quiet. Actually, they were yelling at us to shut up. They were very rude. Again, I'm quite used to sitting in the "regular" seats, and in comparison, I really thought my friends and I were making an effort from the start to tone our behavior down to fit the atmosphere. It seemed that most of the people in this section were older fans. They did not want to stand up and cheer, and I certainly can respect that. However, there were pockets of fans in front of us who were standing during exciting parts of the game as well.
You have to remember that not everyone thinks that standing for most of the game and yelling and screaming like a madman defines the "game-day experience". Just because some don't want to do that doesn't mean they do not enjoy the game live.
There are areas of the Ralph where that is not only acceptable, but expected. And areas where it is not. To each his own.
Agreed. To each his own. That's why I wouldn't sit in that particular area ever again.
Well....maybe when I'm too old to chew my own food and need to wear a diaper. It will be bothersome to have young whippersnappers standing up and yelling fancy whoosiewhatsits at the playing field. By that stage in my life loud noises and moving objects will be confusing and scary.
you totally mis-quoted me. Anyone who yells "sit-down" when people, seated in section 111 or any place in the 100's when someone in front is cheering for the defense should either: (a) stay home; or (b) sit elsewhere. This is not the opera, its a football game. I'm not saying that standing the entire game is acceptable, but when the Bills are on defense you should feel free to stand and make noise w/o having people tell you to "sit-down."
Agree with this wholeheartedly. People who stand and scream their brains out for the entire game are obnoxious, however, I think fans in ANY section of the stadium should feel free to stand and cheer during critical points in the game (i.e., goalline stands, defensive third down stand, etc...). Anyone who doesn't like it should stay home. It's more comfortable on your couch, and you can adjust the atmosphere to be just how you like it.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. An older gentelman I used to work with at this restaurant (he was a host) use to tell me stomach-churning tales about the orgies that took place at his "assisted living facility." He lived there with his wife, but after she went to sleep, he would wander from room to room looking for a party (no kidding). Apparently, that little blue pill did wonders for these old geezers.
Years after my old friend's demise, I was not so stunned to read a local newspaper article about the epidemic of STD's at this particular facility.

Supposedly, in my new landing spot (Rutland, Vermont) there is a year-round farmers market which is held downtown. I wonder how it is possible to sustain this during the winter months? I suspect, that during the winter months, it turns more into a craft market. We had a farmers market here in Fairbanks, Alaska but it's pretty much blows. Great falafel stand though...

Question for those with Club Seats: how is the atmosphere in terms of cheering, being loud for our D when the other team has the ball, etc.? Also, are they difficult to resell on NFL Ticket exchange? I live out of town and agree w/ the above-mentioned benefit of club seats, just trying to see if there is any drawback in terms of experience/ability to re-sell. Thanks!
I don't know that I would ever sit in the club seats again after my experience a few years ago (I believe it was the Paul McGuire Club). My friend got tickets from his Father who is a regional director for First Niagara Bank. Although we are all used to sitting with the drunken masses, we were excited to experience the game with private bathrooms, beverage service, heated seats, etc... The view from the seats was pretty good, but the fans in that section were ridiculous. Mindful of our surroundings, we were very respectful and did not get too intoxicated. Well, it quickly became clear that cheering for the team was frowned upon in this section. Several times on third down defensive stands we stood up to cheer only to hear jeers coming from people behind us yelling at us to "sit down and be quiet." I am serious....we were told to be quiet at a friggin NFL football game. Out of respect for my friend's Father, we bit our tongues, and just played it cool for the remainder of the game.
In short, the concessions and beverage service were great, however, if you want to get up and cheer loudly for the Bills the club section is likely not for you. I guess you have to check it out for yourself...formulate your own opinion.

Yes, even educators make the occasional typo. What do you do for a living cash-money d**k wrinkle? I mean, other than perusing sports message boards, rudely chiding people for making minor typographical errors? Eat me

do they leave bleu cheese and hot sauce as well??? dude, i don't see why you are upset....
Yes, sometimes we get dippy sauces, but that is besides the point. I could be working for some company like Yahoo...eating bacon flavored cotton candy and playing foosball all day long.

Looked pretty weak to me, and the screaming was just obnoxious. I'll take female arm wrestlers serious when I see one of them drink a pint of motor oil before a match. Over the top!!

Authorities have not determined a motive, but believe the shooting wasn't random, Morgan said.
"It appears that this definitely was a targeted event from the way the rounds went into the vehicle," Morgan said. No shots were fired from the Porsche, he said.
The police determined that the shooting wasn't random because no shots were fired from the Porsche? Seems pretty random to me...

....and I chose to be an educator. The coolest thing that could possibly happen at my job is if the cafeteria people have left over chicken fingers and leave them in the employee lounge

Best way to attract Italian chicks.
I usually sprinkle some dried oregano in my bush if I'm going after Italian chicks. This....lots of hair product, gold chains, and loads of tanning.

The wife and I did a 5 day Carnival cruise for my 30th birthday. Departed from Jacksonville and hit a couple islands in the Bahamas. We got an incredible deal (I think we spent more on booze than we did on the whole trip), and had a reall good time. The food was incredible, the entertainment/amenaties were solid, and there were really fun shore excursions at every destination. If you're looking for a cheap, brief get-away...look into this cruise.

Pretty nice sweater puppets!!

Whoa.
I think Jordan is no. 1, by himself and by a longshot.
When the game is on the line, who would you rather have with the ball?
That's a good question, but I don't think the answer is so obvious. Yes, Jordan certainly had some memorable clutch moments, but LeBron is also a very clutch performer. He brought Cleveland to the NBA finals fer chrissakes!

There was a sucky Die Hard before the last one. The last one was, I thought, terrific. Magnificent 7 and Dirty Dozen had crummy sequels.
The Die Hard series is a mixed bag of awesomness/suckitude IMO...
1988 - Die Hard - Awesome
1990 - Die Hard 2 - Sucked
1995 - Die Hard With a Vengance - Awesome
2007 - Live Free or Die Hard - Meh...it was okay.
2013 - A Good Day to Die Hard - Haven't seen it yet, but heard it was pretty bad. I will wait to form my own opinion.

LeBron>Jordan>Bryant

Yes, they have yet to take an NFL snap.
Thank you for clarifying. I was unsure
-
ok, so there was not much substance. how was the style?
EJ was stylin and profilin! He was his typical cool, charasmatic self
-
Sheesh! EJ Manuel and Geno Smith get lumped in the "grizzled" category before either of them takes an NFL snap? Ridiculous.

I hope the Bills can go at least 10-4 next year
That is quite a wish and I would be ecstatic if it happens. I think this truly is a rebuilding year so I would cut them some slack and give them a stretch goal of 8-8. Boy I hope I'm wrong and you're right though...I'd LOVE to see us in the playoffs.

I'm still partial to "Sir" Nigel Bradham....I just picture a british dignitary when I hear his name.
NFL looks like it's going to move draft to May

It was like pulling my finger nails out waiting for the draft in late-April. Then again, if we somehow make the playoffs, we likely won't start talking draft in early December
