I wouldn't go as far as to say that Chris Scott is the "solution" at LG because he's getting some 1st team rep's during OTA's. I suspect that we will see quite a few players getting 1st team rep's before a starter emerges.

I would soil my jockies if we landed Clowney. He has to be the #1 overall pick IMO.

I'm well aware that this is a minority opinion but after watching lots of video of Tavon Austin, I have serious doubts that he'll have a long and successful NFL career.
He's way too much of a finesse player.
Is there a chance that he's the second coming of DeSean Jackson? Yes.
But when you count the number of players in the modern era who were 5'8 1/2" and 174 pounds and made an appreciable impact, the list is miniscule. Guys that short who were successful tended to be about 10 pounds heavier and had a bit of a bowling ball aspect to their games. Austin is a waif.
Moreover his body is so lithe that I believe that he'll have durability issues and that the physicality of the NFL will be a huge adjustment for him.
JMO.
This thread is about who we think might be 2013 ROY, SJBF. Not who we think will have a long, productive career. Try to stay with us here.

Something tells me that Tavon Austin is in a great position to put up big #'s for St. Louis this season. I certainly hope EJ is in the running, but if I were a betting man, my money would be on Austin.
I'm sipping the kool-aid right now...I'll start chugging after EJ goes for 300+ yards and 4 TD's against tha Patsies.

I see no reason for it. Log-jam at the safety position right now....especially with Aaron Williams converting. Love Woodson, but I don't see them spending for him when they're not willing to shell out cash for players at positions of need (i.e., Moore, Dansby). Save that money, develop these young players, and extend Byrd and Wood.

Uh, no. Your job is to make the popcorn and start the movie, not to come up with stupid ideas.
Now, go get me a box of Junior Mints you pimple-faced geek.

Johnny, I can't say enough how much I love your caption and avatar. Great movie, awesome book, even better author.
Why, thank you Wooderson. Hunter S. Thompson rules!
I also share your affinity for Dazed and Confused. Cheers

Not to be the grammar police or anything (tho here I go).... but it's "This might a thread of the year candidate be."
Maybe we'll end up 11-6. I could live with that.
Canks for an amusing thread, OP!
Listen pal, we don't all watch Frasier okay?

Getting Robert Woods made getting Keenan Allen unnecessary. And as a bonus, we got Rogers as an UDFA. Relax, it all worked out
Keenan may become a stud, but the Bills were not going to take Allen when we had already taken Woods, especially when they had Woods graded higher than Justin Hunter.
I am relaxed
, and I like the Goodwin pick. I was disappointed initially because we already have our speed guy (Graham) on the roster, but the more I learn about Goodwin, the more I think he could be a really special player. It's a moot point anyway, as Allen was drafted 2 spots ahead of where Buffalo was picking. I'm just not so sure that the Bills would have passed on Allen if he was there. Similar to Woods or not, IMO, Allen is going to be a really good WR.

She's not cooking chicken breasts...perhaps you should us your "splat-ula"
Aside from that, appears that those buns are ready to be filled with some meat.
She's cooking?

They took Robert Woods in the 2nd round.
and they took Goodwin in the 3rd round. Your point is? This whole draft revisionist history thing is pointless, however, I would have much preferred Keenan Allen over Goodwin.
True but I believe that besides for all the off the field stuff Da'Rick Rodgers is just as good as Allen on the field, and he is not coming off a major injury. Personally I believe Winters was the bigger loss bc of our guard situation.
We didn't know that we were going to get Rodgers, but I agree that Rodgers has the potential to be every bit as good (or better) than Allen. Along with Winters, Dallas Thomas was also a really good guard prospect we could have landed.
-
Yep.
Now, I LOVE our draft, but.....
71. St. Louis - TJ McDonald S USC (from Buffalo)
72. NYJ - Brian Winters OG Kent St.
73. TB - Mike Glennon QB NC State
74. Dallas - Terrance Williams WR Baylor
75. NO - Terron Armstead OT Ark Pine Bluff
76. SD - Keenan Allen WR Cal
77. Miami - Dallas Thomas OG Tennessee
78. Buffalo - Marquise Goodwin WR Texas (from St. Louis)
-
I'd like to keep those breasts moist using my ball-baster
-
-
So....essentially they got a better deal (only 2 slots up the draft board) by switching spots with us in the 3rd round?

Sounds like maybe she was snooping in his cell phone and found some other girls number?
