Totally agree. And I don't know if it's related to Southerland being back, but MCW looked much better this game than he has in the last 3. He let his game flow and take what was there instead of trying to make things happen.
What the heck happened to Christmas though? He seemed to really be coming along but today he was a non-factor, borderline terrible.
MCW definitely plays better when he plays with a "pass first" mentality. Looked like a NBA lottery pick out there today. Christmas has been so Dr. Jeckel/Mr. Hyde all season long. My read is that he makes a stupid play, gets an ear-full from JB (or gets benched), and he completely loses his composure. The kid really needs to mature emotionally. He has some moments on the court where he does something awesome offensively, and I'm thinking....wow this kid is going to be amazing!! Most of the time I'm wondering why he was a McDonalds All-American. Good thing Keita has been putting in some quality minutes.

Really solid win today...obviously. Some monster dunks out there. That charge call on the CJ Fair flush was complete garbage IMO. This is very clearly a different basketball team with Southy on the floor. Not only for his perimiter shooting, but for his leadership presence. Something that has been lacking.
I will hold to my early season opinion that this is a final 4 quality team. Oh yeah, and CJ Fair might be the most under-rated player in the country.

haha...that's great! Isn't that the Newark, NJ Mayor? You'd think there would be some kind of screening process for the people who sit/stand directly behind them during their pressers.
Edit: Duh...it says Gov. Patrick underneath. Definitely a sign language interpreter after JJ's video. Still looks pretty inappropriate though. I think when she licks her upper lip it crosses then line...haha.

Yeah, just heard Southy is a full go!! That's huge. Hope the NCAA doesn't come in in a couple weeks and find him ineligible like Melo last year.

Anyone with half a brain knows that you don't laugh sarcastically while you're in court and the judge is handing down his ruling. You keep your darn mouth shut and have some respect. Maybe the judged acted somewhat out of frustration in this instance, but I don't think his response was inappropriate. What if he let her "antics" slide? What kind of lesson would she have learned? The answer.....nothing except it is perfectly acceptable to act like a snotty little punk brat, regardles of the setting.

Exactly.....when you suck at life (perhaps due to poor parenting....we don't know that) things like this tend to happen. Maybe she learns from this....probably not.

I honestly don't have my undies in a bunch about this. Stupid college kids making a stupid mistake. I am guilty of doing some pretty stupid, classless things during my younger years. Whatever...
The only thing that bugs me about this is that if NC State fans did the same thing....the story would be national news...all over ESPN and other national media outlets. An example of how programs like Duke are handled with "little kid gloves" by the media. Simply not fair...
BTW....it does sound like the "past your bedtime" chant very clearly evolved into the "how's your grandma" chant.

Maybe you are missing my very vague reference... you are 'condemning' duke because some people at the game heard 'how's your grandma' when I think the audio proof clearly indicates they were saying 'past your bedtime'...I am equating the 2 scenarios because they both lacked evidence.. I'm saying don't condemn duke for this...there's plenty of good reasons to hate them...I just don't think this is one of them
Fair enough Pooj, and no, I didn't pick up on your "very vague reference." I wasn't condemning Duke because of this isolated incident....I have a life time worth of reasons why I dislike the Duke basketball program. I guess that's my own personal opinion....isn't it? Anyway, you not believing that the crowd is chanting "how's your grandma" (despite overwhelming evidence) is like people who don't believe that Obama was born in the US.

In November 2011, Bernie Fine was accused on ESPN by two former Syracuse ball boys of sexually abusing them in the 1980s. Local police previously looked into the case and declined to press charges. A similar Syracuse University investigation also found it had no merit.
On Friday, federal authorities dropped the investigation completely after claiming to interviewing 130 witnesses and sorting through 100,000 pages of documents and finding no evidence to support the claims.
Neither Bernie Fine nor anyone else will be charged, the local U.S. Attorney's Office said.
