Random talking head says something about the Bills
boyst replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude I was there. I was at that game. I actually went twice. -
I don't like the Bills pick here. Tired of the NFL trying so hard to make that wannabe school relevant when they're all terrible people and suck.
-
The censored last name is Bike but with a D instead of B. I hope we draft him just to f with the word filter.

Bills player mentioned on a Joe Rogan podcast with Ron White.

I have heard horror stories of Ayahuasca. A friend regularlymgoes because it benefits him. But he has told stories of bad bad things. He's an elite level mountain climber former special forces. The guy has a fierce chill calmness that I've never seen. He has ice in his veins and a sheer willpower beyond anyone else I've ever met. Ayahuasca to him takes him to a plane of complete peace. This is why I believe that he was elite for the SF (Seal and CIA detached) and climber. -
They're not really going to trademark the number either. The image of the number, art, etc. It's just not fun to be thinking like that.

Was there ever a sport you tried you weren’t good at?

I can't hit a ball to save my life. Everyone says focus on the ball and line up the bat. I can't see the damn ball. Tennis was also tough because my fat ass is like a big rig and needs a few extra lanes to turn around. -
Quick, someone blame CTE.

I somehow saw his film and thought Shakir.

Stick is eternal. Stick is carbon.

10". My money is on the stick. Marines break stick: Marines vs 2 sticks. Marines break stick again: Marines vs 4 sticks. Stick always wins.
-
100 US Marines vs a stick. Who wins?

100%. No offensive weapons?!? Wtf. I can stomach a blue chipper or high success probability defensive line player in round 2... But not all 3 of those picks. We have had ***** at defense for our picks for a while. The return on the top talent has not been there.

I would love to shape him to be the poyer big safety style/little linebacker that we thought Lewis Cine might become one day. It has its special place in our scheme even only used 15-20% of the time. A skillset like that with quality can be a great addition on dime packages against teams with 2 good TE's or the ability to shift into run.

How big of a prayer in your assessment? We talking hail Mary? We talking a few lines of the rosary? An our father? I think Bishop has potential to be a depth player and if anyone can get him to be more it is our secondary coaching since he seemed to lack awareness and discipline in the scheme vs bad athleticism. Granted, he didn't look speedy out there and lacked some spacial awareness, game time instincts, and the processing of the game - I still think he can be a quality backup a few years as a floor.

Name a random athlete and something you remember them by

Chester Taylor. Never talked, quiet dude, was like a feather and very shy/introverted. That random enough? -
Wants and would are two different words. I would welcome him, and I want him. But I would rather not overpay.
-
And a QB who listens to his pops more than you and would torpedo you to get his dad in place?
-
You said he is being sought after by the Bengals, the Raiders, and the Chiefs?
-
I hope he has to change his number because of this. You CAN trademark the style/art including a numeral digit. Nascars numbers are already trademarked including Jr.'s #8. Jackson is just being a maroon.

TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #30 (Poll Closed)
boyst replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is true, and I agree with every word of it. BUT ... Wait for it. 🤣 Sauce Gardner, Revis, Winfield Jr., and many more I don't even remember right now... great players who take players out of a game essentially. With a top CB the game becomes 10 v 10. Likely that's the teams best WR and sometimes their best player. There was a time when that was extremely valuable. Today's passing league we have the tiers of WR that make this harder to hold up. Your top tier WR's are so proficient that they can beat that CB. There are maybe 5-6 of them in the truly elite tier. Your average starting #1 WR will be shut down by the top 4-5 CB's in the league to get two or less catches. That's significant. But what is more significant is that most teams have legitimate #2 WRs that can beat the dropped off #2 CB much easier than lose the battle. Same with down the list to #3WR and other weapons. The average safety is not significant at this time. There is a reason Hamlin, Rapp, and other serviceable starters float around so much. Whole other can of worms. Returning to the CB; a top CB will command a major salary that is generally better passed around to other defensive players to earn a starting calibre defense across the board. That starting CB is in their prime after their second year in most cases and lasts 2-3 seasons. It's a short shelf life. The elite may get a 6-7 year life with only 3-4 at elite play. Compare that to a WR who is elite for the same time frame or a running back which is less (but never should be drafted high imo), or an OL which lasts 6-8+ years and can play elite for all 8. I'd be just fine getting an elite offensive talent any day over defense. But, here is the but, when we are thin at defense and there is a top 3 position available for the waiting in the later rounds there is little reason not to take the risk. If it is early in the draft and someone grades highly at CB is just as soon take the higher graded offensive weapon, especially at OL. -

the scene is a cold winter day in Lackawanna. A young couple stops in to visit a coffee shop and this is where we meet Phil, a recently appointed partner at the NYC brokering house of William and Randolph Duke who coaches the NYC blind basketball league after being a 4 year letterman at Penn. Phil's soon to be wife, Juliette is a writer after having multiple injuries preventing her from dancing after her 2 years at Juliard where she left to go Barnard. They are making plans for a nice getaway to Niagara on the Lake and finally roll into town to stop at family bakery where Kyle has returned home to help his grandparents run without telling her he was failing college at Oswego and has a pending drug charge for pills in his car. He is still a nice guy and won at least two hacky sack battles in college. Still, he is a nice guy with charming good looks. ...long story short Kyle convinces Juliet to take over the cookie business with him and begin her writing there with absolutely no business experience. Phil goes back to NYC and finds a 10/10 who isn't cracked out in fantasy land and lives happily ever after while Juliet deals with Kyle 10 years later, a bankrupt cookie shop, 2 kids, and kyle promising he will leave the casino by 11pm.

not my point. my point is that this should be in addition to him being the best player on the board. it should have absolutely no bearing on decisions if he can play football. there are only two things that matter when we draft a cornerback: 1) can he play the position better than anyone else on the board? 2) did he bring a notebook to the meeting? if either of those are yes, we run to the podium.
