My favorite Eric Wood story was in Houston leaving the game and maybe 4 blocks from the stadium trying to get to the hotel we passed some guys on the corner mad at someone obviously trying to pick them up as an Uber. @Royale with Cheesewith cheese points out "hey isn't that Eric Wood?". No one had really seen his tremendous weight loss but it definitely was. He was pissed about not having a ride to his hotel with two other guys after just announcing the playoff game. this crap annoys me because it feels like critics are picking the Bills with some hype and will celebrate when/if the Chiefs win by announcing just how amazing they are to squeak out another win, to pull off their best win of the season. if the chiefs win by 1 or 100 the headlines are going to be ecstatic with just how great this overrated undefeated team is; and don't get me wrong, they're very good. they wouldn't beat themselves against their own 2020, 2021, or 2022 teams.

Today's OL is way different than yesterday's. Those guys back in the 80's and 90's were massive powerhouses that beat the ***** out of each other. In the 60's and 70's it was even worse with protection but the guys were not there yet with athleticism on the OL. They were just big. The 80's and 90's finally combined to get the athletic big guys. Today's OL is more athletic and more mobile than ever before. It's amazing. Top recruits across the country to college are not the big 7' 300 lbs monsters anymore. They're agile, 240-260 lbs dudes who move.

I just hope some of us can enjpy this game for what it should be - and we can all avoid refs, announcers glazing the players, and injuries. Just a good principled game where is fair.

Chiefs have not allowed more than 28 points in the last 30 games. They're talking about it now on NFL radio. I keep thinking the top score of this game is going to be something like 21 points. Everyone keeps saying it's going to be a high score again.

i often wonder if ref crews sometimes feel pressure to go against the grain of giving it to the chiefs? you'd think human nature comes in at somet point and intervenes to make them want to combat the rhetoric.
