  1. so the "have a good sunday" was only for those people?
  2. something something something about the ravens being without their best WR's.... how is that the bills problem? if the bills lose sunday will you tell us... "yeah, the ravens did win but you were missing two starting CB's, a kicker, and your primary WR?" or will you beg your mom for fifteen more minutes of screen time to bloviate that the ravens are bestest ever and lamar is the stud? if they were in the nfc they'd have been battling the defenses of san fran, the rodgers, goff, stafford, hurts... the nfc is no push over, dafodil. if you're asking the question of josh being a turnover machine than you clearly do not pay attention, especially in the playoffs. i guess because you stop watching them in the first week or two every year when your team gets put out.
  3. i know you're rushing to type this during your school lunch period but we need better quality than this, rosie.
  4. 2 minutes ago... 14 hours ago. you're welcome, petunia.
  5. i am on the fence on it. from the two angles i saw i am not sure he could have made the move or if he was already at top speed. if he still had two steps in him he could have easily batted it. but that's elam. he's always two steps away from the right spot. that's hamlin, too. two steps away (because he's slow and unathletic) sauce gardner looks bad as much as good. tavon diggs has as many highlights as he does lowlights. both are make or break. that's why i like benford and winfield jr. they're even keel.
  6. he benefits from a great team, he's a nice dude, but i also have seen him make mistakes that frustrate me when i want him to pass and not run. to be the qb not the rb. jacksonville was the only close call i had. the dude was 6'2ish, 220, built. i was still in shape at this time but had probably 20 lbs of muscle on him and the same height. it would have been a good fight but there were cops nearby and some old laddy broke it up.
  7. Every defender was 10 yards off the line. I doubt elam went rogue and did it solely. The 51 yard pass was a great catch and it's hard to defend a nicely placed ball and catch. Not an excuse because he still could have tried to bat it away or play on the ball he just didn't have leverage on it. He didn't have a good game but he also didn't have a terrible game. His speed made up for his depth the defense played.
  8. watch out, ravens fans will compare their qb to your dad now. but, yes, most fans will cheer whoever their team takes at qb. but, honestly, i don't think i'd be a fan of Jackson. i liked fitz and taylor. i did not like manuel, bledsoe, collins, and many of the last few years. i can without a doubt narrow it down to something like... (based on how i think of them and not just by play) i would like our QB if: tua, prescott, murray, love, burrow, flacco, young, geno smiffff, daniel jones, mayfield, darnold, purdy i would not like QB if: mahomes, jackson, fields, mccarthy, wilson, rodgers, lawrence i'm not sure on: hurts, maye, caleb williams, stroud, daniels, ward.
  9. Not intentionally. Lamar speeds the game up by his legs. If they could get a quick tempo no huddle itd be a game changing opportunity. No one could keep up. I have a sense that they avoid this to keep him calm and to get focus on their plays. They seem to run a fairly complex scheme where they use play calls to create opportunities. Not that they are complex but the scheme is to get everyone to an open field point of possible. We need to play man coverage a lot.
  10. I will draw out more of what I've mentioned before... If I am Baltimore I run pass routes early and often, quick no huddle, throw the fire at the Bills defense. Especially if the young rookies get in at DL and/or we don't have white and Benford out together. Get them confused with high tempo. This could bite Baltimore only if the rookies play instinctively and their instincts turn out to be good with young athleticism and they avoid thinking. However, id gamble on it not and quick 3-5 yard passes over and over again with some opportunities deep as they hope to wind and drain our safeties. Let someone get open over the top. As we are falling for the rope a dope fast punches to reel us in on a big hit to hopefully get a score they can draw this out until the 2Q. Oof course, based on our offense, they can then begin using Henry to roll back the quick passing attack and go conservative to send us to halftime with some hard hitting runs. Coming out in the second half with a balanced approach, and in their goal should be 2-3 scores on the board regardless of what we score. Harbaugh has to trust his defense to stop the Bills offense and put all his chips in on offense to set the tone. This game is critical for them, they have more to lose in their division than we do and a conference win against us sets up a chance for a #1 seed. If I'm Harbaugh I think I have a solid game plan on this right here.
  11. No it won't. You'll be back.
  12. Ooh man elam. Come on don't let us down
  13. Still too close to jersey.
  14. I hate that commercial. Two reasons: i am a farmer. Farmers generally aren't the best of animal welfare folks. Most older farmers don't even name their dogs. They're just dogs, tools. Second, my wife is a vet. The bull#### the pet food companies sell is complete bs. And people think she makes money suggesting food or selling it in her office. She makes like $.03 a bag. The local pet store companies will say big vets just want a profit. Lol yeah, and your store doesn't.
  15. You can't help but bring up other QBs when talking and defending Lamar Jackson. Even the leagues best player and MVP is living rent free in your head. Every Baltimore fan has a 3" confidence. They're the first to bring up anyone else. Ray Lewis killed a man and they'll bring up OJ or Rae Carruth. the whole city is actually gross. Not until you get outside of it do you stand a chance for decent humanity. About 200 miles out of it.
  16. A lot of action in this game. I keep missing elam. How's he doing?
  17. I've been saying this all a long. Or, prater does the kickoffs and PAT's and bass field goals for this week Prater is capable of holding it down for 4-5 weeks.
  18. These players on the cowboys gotta be heated. I hope they major league Jerry jones and dominate.
  19. A QB from the 90s and 00's that lasted a long, long time and won a ring starting for the Ravens when they had a murderers row of a defensive unit.
  20. How important was dilfer to the victories or defeats?
  21. I think he can realize more potential.
  22. fwiw i agree with you. talent wise lamar has more than tua because he can run but tua is the better qb. he's not as healthy, however. but lamar and tua are equal, both havne't got the job done when they need to and thus only so great. it's like when people talk about the best qb's of all time. jim kelly would be higher if he had just 1 SB victory. ... let go of things like mark andrews? but, lets be honest... you say he can win a title and be sb mvp. ok, when he is just that we will revisit this discussion. because, i bet ya.... he won't.
  23. at what mark do you judge a qb? hurts has a ring. by most measures that brings him into any discussion. the eye test doesn't show that with hurts, i may agree. but if that's the case i would say that with mahomes. mahomes has regressed more than any qb mentioned. burrow is the one who hasn't reached his potential yet. of all those qb's burrow is the one that has more upside than any at this point.
  24. if a quarterback was graded like a lineman or any other position than mistakes shoudl count. time and time again lamar chokes. he's got better, sure but the offense is catered to him and he has had the benefit of great talent all around him. the eye test also shows the truth. he doesn't have good field vision, especially early he woudl tuck and run instead of read the play and execute the reads. the eye test doesn't pass the smell test. he's elite, a great football player and possibly one of the best ever but he is not one of the best qb's ever. he's only among the best in the league right now. but so is burrow, allen, hurts, and a few others.
