  1. he has played will and sam for mcdermott. he has primary played Sam before becoming a mike in his most recent stints with mcdermott. if any LB has versatility to play this role it is him. Klein to Will is possible, Rapp to Sam
  2. he is shady af. also meant to say above that if a team played in london they'd have to almost exclusively have 4pm or 8pm games london time.
  3. when Boom gets up and going i expect them to be shuttling these teams back and forth. specs call for 60-80 passengers per plane

    1T needed

i really hope McDermott gives us credit in the post game show this week for helping find the 1T. i am tired of us being disrespected for all we do for this team.
  5. damn. he has been so fun to watch.
  6. who was the rb we had about the same time everyone thought was going to be special? antonio williams
  7. was looking for available CB's. Found Keyvon Seymore and Ron Darby on the Ravens roster.
  8. ---------------- Call the Ravens, and try to trade a 5th or so for Ron Darby, or a 6th or 7th for Keyvon Seymore. Bth former Bills.
  9. remember a while back when gilmore wanted to play and people were mocked for wanting to bring him in? wish we would have. hope those who laughed at folks then are now realizing we were thinner than we thought.
  10. it isn't going to be a radical change. it's going to simply be changing assignments. unfortunately, it's too much for mcd to want to do, i am sure. i think it would be more of a double nickel defense vs a straight up 3-3. i really don't like that they say we are a 4-2 defense when floyd and miller are both labeled LB's.. but that's another conversation.
  11. And came right back. I could see both of them telling the kid it's not worth it
  12. It is on his Instagram story and he's saying whoever did it that their mom is a ho...
  13. I skimmed 11 pages I haven't seen peter pan so this seems legit.... Is this real life?????? Did we really sign him? Where is Richard Sherman?
  14. In an AJE thread it occured to me that very few if anyplayers have left Buffalo in the McDermott era to succeed. I don't pay as much attention as I used to and old age is making me foggy so help me out: Who has left Buffalo in the last 6 years and succeeded? [Could be had a good year, could still be in the league, definition is objective] Two that come to mind are Hughes and Teller who definitely showed they had value after leaving. McKenzie, Singletary, Hodgins, Feleciano are active on rosters and have contributed but not gangbusters. Edmunds, Lawson, Trubisky... Who else? I really can't think of any defenders than Hughes.
  15. I don't think he generates the interest many believe. Honestly, come to think of it... Who was the last big disciple of McDermott to go on to succeed with a big contract, or even small? Besides Edmunds I cannot think of anyone who has gone on to succeed. Jerry Hughes is the only player to move on from McDermott and succeed; Jerry was never coming back and it was specifically because of McDermott.
  16. He's process. He will be cheaper than we think. He will be back. Book it. (I just wanted to say book it, I don't have insight or a strong opinion other than he fits the mould to come back)
  17. We will never know because it wasn't tried. What we tried didn't work and we kept trying.
  18. i mean, we did make lawrence and dude from the jets look all pro i hate pulling on mcdermott all the time but it's been a theme with him being here that we play to our opponents level. i don't remember that with cinci the last few years, or vrabel ever... not saying they are better coaches but they are two that come to mind that get their guys going. oh, and carpenter in detroit always brings his squad out to play
  19. so can we just focus on one statement here now that you're addressing defense? we couldn't win with 4 and with 4 we were getting toasted in the backfield... we tried 5 and 6 and it made no difference. don't you think we should have tried somethign else?
  20. i think i would like to agree but just cannot because of what Elam was and is and how Dorian Williams was a round 3 project who played middle linebacker at a small school coming in to play will in a demanding scheme, with intensive activity required on him.
  21. Of course, I agree. But changing our scheme to match the level of talent must be done to ensure the best possibility of contention for those that are thrust into positions of play. How this staff thought we had a capable backup in Williams blows my mind. Maybe he will get there but the dude was LOST.
  22. This thread is about defense. I am simply asking people to talk about the problems on defense specifically. I don't think anyone in the NFL doesn't think the bills are capable of "duking it out" with anyone on offense.
  23. We didn't change our scheme going in with parts that weren't the same as original parts. Concepts and design must change and adapt to a players ability. We didn't change Elam was left to fall on his face. We insisted on an ineffective rush/blitz that only put up pretty sack stats but didn't help the defense as a unit. We had poor designs on 3rd downs (remember we held them to 3rd and 10 more than once) and blew it. I don't need perfect but I need better than that.
  24. I'm not ignoring the the offense. I'm just letting this thread focus on the defense. Frankly, I'm not concerned the offense anyway. We have great skill players and Josh Allen. We can put 40 pts on anyone.
  25. this thread is about the defense. not the ofense.
