Bills scored more points than any other team this season..
Pete replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
7 out of 21 catch, a 33% catch percentage after his return. We wont need luck for major improvement. Keon did not look like the same player. Lazy routes. He struggled to beat Jams. He fails to separate. Prior to injury, I loved Keon's tenacity-blocking dude out of bounds. He made some great catches. He looked good running in space. And showed potential for being a TD monster. But after that hit, Keon looked disinterested IMO. He looked like a different player. Hes young, and hopefully he get the fire back and keep improving. Prove me wrong Keon -

Awesome. We always want to be better. You know what would help the offense score more? A vertical X WR. James Cook 22% of carries were against stacked boxes. A vertical threat opens up the middle of the field. More space for Cook, and Knox and Dalton will be open more in the middle -

Fix the damn defense! Devote every draft pick and FA to the defense, just give Josh one more excellent WR. -
When Bills CBs played off and allowed clean releases killed us against KC. Bills D often plays a soft zone, allowing easy completions over the middle. I get that they are preventing big plays, but they give up way too many soft completions. Be aggressive!

Not true. In conductor of the WR train. Grant would be an awesome 1st round pick. DT is super deep in this draft. I want DT with 2 of our first 3 picks. I want S, Edge, CB too. But we still need a #1 WR. That’s all I’m asking. Don’t ignore WR for 5 years, then add Keon and think we are set. Devote every draft pick, and FA $ on D, with the exception of adding one excellent WR.

We are in agreement that D needs most attention. But the fact is, our last two playoff exits, our offense failed on the potential winning drive. Mahomes only needed 13 seconds. Our offense had 3:30, 3 time outs, needing only a FG- and the offense failed! Last two seasons our D made stops towards end of game, and the offense failed, stupid. -
I blame Beane. McDermott probably gives draft and personal input. But Beane ultimately makes the roster decisions IMO.

WRs are a problem. QB Stellar. RB group- excellent. TE group- above average. OL- top in NFL, and excellent depth. WR group- worst in the NFL? Its remarkable how many points Josh puts on the board, with such a weak WR group. Bills need to infuse the WR group with talent this season. And all other resources can be spent on DL, Edge, CB, S -
Beane has spent plenty of resources on DL-Rousseau, Oliver 1st round picks. AJ 2nd round pick. $140 million Von. High draft picks Boogie, Harrison. FA signing Williams, Star, etc Very little return on investment. The problem is not that we ignore the DL. The problem is missing again and again. Ive always been a big Beane fan. But his failures on DL, with our 1st round picks, and ignoring WR, my patience is wearing thin.

I dont want to see Coleman outsnapping any WR. Bills need a major upgrade over Coleman -
Saban and those 64 Bills teams were awesome. Marv inherited a loaded Bills roster put together by Polian. There are several hall of famers, and excllent players in all 3 phases. That was the "bickering Bills", several selfish players. 2025 Bills love each other, and are altruistic. Neither compares to what McDermott has done. He took over the Bills after a 17 year drought. It has been an amazing turnaround. 86-45 record. .656 winning %. We have won a playoff game the past 6 years. Yet ingrates want to run him out of town.

Anyone on the Bills you think could be traded?
Pete replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
IMO the Bills trade an OL. Tyson Grable sounds like the real deal. Anderson is restricted FA. Van Demark was re-signed. IMO Bills trade 1 or more of Van Pran, Gouraige, Mike Edwards, or Travis Clayton. -
2021 draft -always BPA IMO 61 DT Boogie Bashum 63 C Creed Humphrey 89 WR Nico Collins

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

1- he plays nickel for the Eagles. In college he played CB and S 2-true. But I’m sure you would rate Kyle Hamilton higher. Cooper has Hamilton ability. Cooper reminds me of a faster Urlacher. 3- we draft BPA, we draft Cooper, and there would be no need for Bishop. Safety spot filled, we can draft BPA now, or trade back. DT, Edge, WR, CB, RB can be filled 2nd and the rest of our picks. 4-not true. Injuries can happen to anyone. It’s one reason I value draft picks. Beane was in a tough spot. There were no feasible #1 WR options available in FA. We were desperate for WR, because cupboard was bare from bargain shopping WRs for years. We were in cap hell, and had many starter and roster spots to fill. 2023 we needed WR- and there was a huge run at WR by our selection. Beane wanted to add pass catcher for Josh. I’m guessing Dalton was rated higher on board than any available WR. So Beane trades up for Dalton. 2024 we were desperate for quality WRs. Again, no good options FA. 24 draft there were 4 WR tier one. And then a big drop off, with many similarly WR ratings. So we had the first pick, day 2. Every GM reset their boards, and had all night to think about best players available for their team. I am certain Beane turned down several trade back offers. Beane declined all offers, and took his guy, Keon. We can go visit old draft threads. Me, and many banged table for Cooper or Ladd. I also liked Adonai Mitchell, who has speed, and can line up outside. Bills need an X WR, and Keon is not an X. Hindsight is proving us right. “ -

Keon 7 for 21 catch percentage post Poyer hit. Keon is a one trick pony, who struggles to do succeed at his one trick. Prior to the hit, Keon played with fire. I didn’t see that fire in Keon post the hit. I hope Keon can get his edge back, he didn’t finish strong -

No, but I have a working brain. Cooper DeJean was an elite Safety prospect. His RAS score 9.85 is top notch. Cooper athleticism stood out on tape. Cooper can play CB or S, and he is great punt returner. Tons of production, and zero flags. There is not a GM who had Keon ranked higher than Cooper. This is common sense -

Not too mention, that was the first pick in the second round. That is one of hottest draft positions. Beane and others have a chance to reset their boards, and all night to think about it. Beane must of turned down many good trade down offers, to overdraft Keon -

There is zero percentage that Beane had Coleman rated higher than Cooper. Not to mention, we had a big need at Safety. It was a horrible choice to ignore draft board and reach for WR. -

There was little chance of us trading up for Thomas. We were coming off cap hell, and needed to replenish the roster. Thomas was a pipe dream We could of traded back, and drafted Cooper DeJean, and last year would of been successful draft -
Ingrates have no appreciation for what McDermott has done for Buffalo the past 8 years. Please show me a Bills coach who has had more success. Me, and older Bills Mafia have scars from 2-14 seasons, 0 for the 70s against Miami. 17 years missing the playoffs. Etc. Is that what you want to return to? Do you not recognize what McDermott has done for our Buffalo Bills?

I’m not upset we traded with KC- I’m a fan of trading back and getting additional picks. I’m disgusted we drafted Keon and DeWayne! I like trading back, and I like drafting BPA. Cooper DeJean was a top 15 player, who was available at our 2nd round pick. Me, and most of TBD draft room were pounding the table for Ladd, or Cooper. We are not pro scouts, and it’s obvious to us the Ladd or Cooper should of been the selection. Instead we get plodding Keon(doesn’t One Bills Drive have a stop watch?). We gained a 3rd round pick, let’s try and salvage this poor draft. We draft another tomatoe can in DeWayne, who cannot even be active after his return. Every other DT played reps over DeWayne. 2nd and 3rd round picks are premium, and we better use them wisely. Last season Beane threw away those picks, and we barely got anything in return. I like Beane, but he ***** up prime draft slots in 2024 -
What happens if Myles has career ending injury next season? Those first and second round picks would be nice to have, but got traded away. Our cap is a mess now, Josh is 28- what have done to the Bills?
