    Why don't you already know? No, as another poster stated, he hurt it last season. This is conjecture, but he probably tried to let it heal on its own, waited as long as he could, thus the surgery now.

    I get that part, but why was the NYPD responsible for security?

    In the late 1970s I lived a couple of blocks from the Shah's townhouse on Beekman Place NYC. Always found it odd that the NYPD had a presence outside that house 24/7.

    My first thought when the injury came to light was why wait? Why not fix this now? I looking forward to seeing this kid play, but I'd rather not risk making it worse or missing much more time. As to the way this situation was handled, just dumb.
