  1. Isn't Smith the guy that said he didn't understand why more teams don't attempt field goals on third down, because if they miss they can try again? Exactly!
  2. I don't believe there are many 33 year old rookies.
  3. http://www.nfl.com/player/kevinkolb/2507169/profile Here are Kolb's career stats. Kolb lost his starting job to Michael Vick and John Skelton. None of this gives me confidence.
  4. God help me I am capable of behaving that way. I swear way more.
  5. I agree, not contact drills for O line means all they can do is try and get in the way.
  6. Hey Ice, without looking it up name the running back featured in "the drive" in The Ice Bowl.
  7. I guess the reason I used the word "odd" is that both these guys are new, as is all he couches and schemes. If these guys were vets that had been with the same team and coaches for years it would not be, well "odd". Coach not couch
  8. Does anyone else find it odd that Lawson and Branch or not at OTAs? They are on a new team with a new scheme. They are veterans that know what is expected of them at this time of year. I don't get it.
  9. "The Bills also had issues on offense as Ryan Fitzpatrick fell from the starter of the future to benched." When was Fitzpatrick benched?
  10. I don't know if the players are just blowing smoke. I don't think however, that what is going on with this franchise is the same old same old. The most significant event is Ralph Wilson giving up control. I am not trying to disparage Wilson. He played an important role in the formation and continuation of the NFL. Ralph Wilson was never considered to be a good owner, until Bill Polian came along and I'm not trying to toot Polian's horn. Polian did manage to get himself fired. He also managed to put together the right players and coaches to win. Ralph Wilson decisions pre Polian and post Polian were not good. It was a parade of bad hires. I've said this before, if Ralph were in charge Nix would still be the GM and Lovie Smith would be the coach, because that is his M. O. I have no idea if Doug Whaley will be a good GM. I have no idea if Doug Marrone can be a good head coach in the NFL. I am however more optimistic about these guys and the rest of the staff than I ever was about Nix, Gailey or Levi, Jauron or Donahoe and anybody. I just think this is different, maybe the players do too.
  11. I am primarily a 2 and a 4. I am continually chastised by my wife for shouting F¥€K! I use to have a pair of lucky Bills socks. My nephew gave them to me in the 1980s, awesome red, white and blue tube socks with Bills Logo. I can throw in some 6, for example "why would you not go for two? I don't care if there is ten minutes left" or " why would you punt from the 32 indoors?" I am a 17 and readily admit it. I only like to watch Bills games with other Bills fans, four max. I prefer that they are related to me. I hate watching with friends that are fans of other teams. I have a good friend that is a Jet fan. He always wants to watch Bills Jet games with me. I f¥€king hate it!
  12. I have to disagree. I think since January a lot of substantial events have occurred. If this were the same old Bills, Buddy would still be the GM, Lovie Smith would be the coach. They would have drafted a CB or LB with the 8th pick and taken a QB in the 3rd round.
  13. Tom Donahoe failed because of paranoia and arrogance. He lost a power struggle with Cower in Pittsburg. He was never going to have that happen again, so he hired two head coaches that were on no one's radar. They therefore owed him. Frankly Ralph should have fired him when he chastised the fans for him having to fire Williams. His drafts were bizarre. It was like he was after a head line not players. Did the Bills really have the luxury of using a first round pick on a guy, McGahee, that couldn't play for a year? Or the panic the lead to trading up for Losman? "Much sought after", he was working at ESPN when Ralph hired him. Unless of course they are winning.
  14. Ralph is cheap. Talk is cheap. Therefore Ralph is talk. Deductive reasoning, nicly done.
  15. First of all even without a contract he has access to plenty of money. What ever agency he is with will lend him what ever he wants until the contract is signed. This kid is an Academic All American who has already earned his degree and is working on a masters. I find it highly unlikely that he will blow a million dollars over a weekend or make in rain in some strip club.
  16. I've been watching for the last fifty years and you have the right to be cynical. The problem with the Bills was always Ralph Wilson. This is not meant to disparage the man or his contribution to the NFL. I've met him. His eyes light up when he talks about the Bills. He truly loves the team. That being said he made a lot of bad management and coaching decisions over the years. Through the mid 1980s Ralph was considered to be a bad owner. Only after Polian and Levy did he become revered. A few years ago, after a monumental collapse against the Dolphins (Travis Henry halfback pass), I told my nephew, another avid Bills fan, that nothing would change until ownership changed. I could be wrong but Ralph giving total control to Brandon is close. What has gone on over the last few months has a decidedly different feel to it. I hope I am right, we'll see.
  17. A year from now he will be begging to get back into league.
  18. Why the intrigue? What purpose could it serve?
