  1. I know I am in the minority here, but I believe this is a smart move. His draft class has alot of Stud WRs in it. Most of them are getting 5th year options. The 2nd and 3rd rounders are not. So what does this mean: He has a good/great season this year and they work out a solid contract for him or franchise tag him and continue it. If they 5th year optioned him, they wouldnt be able to negotiate the new contract until next year when the other studs are getting significant raises and they are competiting number wise compared to age. Also if they tagged him off of the previous 5th year...that tag would be higher too because it has to be a percentage above his previous year salary.
  2. Ok..maybe I read the OP message wrong, but I take from it that he is a Whaley Supporter and just letting other Whaley Supporters know not to feed the fire. But I keep seeing Whaley Supporters say he is wrong and that Whaley wont be fired... Maybe i am in left field..its been one of those weeks
  3. I dont post hardly ever. but i definitly needed to give you a +1 on that...LOL
  4. Am I missing something major? Overall consumption will be reduced by 425KW? 425KW per hour = a savings of roughly $76.50 per hour. One would think that LEDs would consume far less than a Halogen light bulb, and significantly less than the incondencent bulbs (which of course they dont use) Or is that horribly written and it should have indicated saving 425KW per hour per bulb so that would be multiplied by 6 poles by 60 lights: $76.50 * 6 poles * 60 lights= $27,540 in savings per hour x 8 hours (safe estimate) = $220,320 savings a game.
  5. I didnt know Steve Smith Sr's son was playing in his place. Maybe that is his secret plan on longevity?
  6. If they actually "blocked for EJ", they might have not been cut..
  7. well make sure you check your bills. I had the first guy call my bluff and cancelled the Sunday Ticket. Then by the time I was transferred to the right person, he added it back on with my credits. So when my bill came this month, I showed the Sunday ticket billed (1 of 6). However, last month it was also billed (1 of 6) and was never credited back. So by the end, I would have paid 7 installments. After dealing with someone who had no clue, he reluctantly forwarded me to his supervisor who say the problem and issued me the 45$ credit. Says that if you get it added back on within a day or two, the credit doesnt get processed for the cancel. So just double check your bills to make sure your not paying an extra installment or two. -G-
  8. When I did mine, they informed that they could do the 50 a month for 2 years if you got new equipment...but i didnt need anything new and didnt want to commit to 2 years more (rather leave it at 1 and do the NFLST dance again next year)
  9. I had to open this thread up, because I swore I read last night that he was traded to Carolina....but now he is in Ten???
  10. I am not sure what was worse....the push off call or listening to the dc announcers justify that you can't blatantly push off like that...I'm like WTF...worse call in a long time that I have seen.
  11. Just pretty pathetic a Missed Test = 4 games suspension.....but hey....i also dont have a 100 million reasons to go take mandatory tests at a moments notice..
  12. Well I read one article that said Dareus issue might have actually been missing a test or a few tests. Which counts as a failed test. And since he was in the program, he is subject to upto 10 tests a month. It is just a ****ty situation from the get go...plain and simple.
  13. Wait...so let me get this straight. Buffalo was the only team who drafted a player #1, who choose to play for the CFL instead. We then blocked his attempt to play in the NFL by matching the offer he signed elsewhere. In turn we shipped him off to Cleveland in exchange for their 1983 1st round pick at #14. We then use that pick on a QB who choose to go to the USFL for more money but after the USFL folds he comes back and leads this team to its greatest years ever. And if he never went to the USFL, we probably would never have had the #1 pick in 1985 to grab another generational talent.. Yeah..I will gladly accept that title of losing the #1 player to the CFL. Because without that distinction, we would never have had Jim Kelly and Bruce Smtih here in Buffalo. And without those years, the fandom would probably not have grown into the proportion it has. Things work out in mysterious ways!!
  14. Good Luck JR... I have been following this thread this season, doesnt appear to be that many people succeeding..or just not discussing it this year. I am holding out calling until next week....
  15. However, he just might have him return a few Kickoffs and Punts to see if he is able to cover that position.....
  16. But the biggest problem, no one truly knows what the "payment" goes for. Does it cover all the Air National Guard signage around the stadium or does it cover the cost of the flyovers/guards tickets/public display during and before games? I believe these "payments" cover the advertisements and such around the stadium and in the game day publications. So its ok for the A/M/N/AF/NG to pay TVs for ads, however during the holidays when they do similar service men/woman shoutouts to their families...is that in honor of our troops, or were those paid ad spots? if those were paid ad spots, how did those random service individuals get selected, via lottery or paying to do it? These what if statements could go on and on. Because of this, I have no problem with them paying for advertisements, and no problem with the "Honor the Troops" campaigns as I do not see them as the same. Not all teams get this revenue, but all teams do the honoring...so that to me indicates a demarcation line is drawn somewhere. However, the NFL business models and pricing will never be made public because that is proprietary to their overall successful business venture.
  17. Chris Brown ‏@ChrisBrownBills 2m2 minutes ago Aaron Williams to short-term I-R; #Bills sign S Josh Bush. More at http://Buffalobills.com
  18. Pretty funny that people dont realize that the skill set is almost pretty identical between the two QBs...Manuel has the ability to scramble and has a bigger arm... Now, what if Manuel executes flawlessly like he did in Preseason....nothing like a regular season QB controversy when they both are preforming good.
  19. Sorry DC Tom, didnt feel like quoting half the people and yours was the closest. 1st: I do believe this was in fact cheating because I do believe it is against the rules for teams to attend other teams training camps for scouting purposes. 2nd: A few years ago, Daniel Snyder got greedy and charged fans admission to training camp. The Redskins suffered severely that year as other teams came out and legally scouted them because they "Paid an admission" to attend. This act of paying, allowed them to come and scout the Redskins training camp. 20. Got to love ESPN Beat reporters... For the BILLS vs FISH, Rodak Picks them, and Walker picks us....so their beat reporter likes our chances, our beat reporter likes their chances. Even more of a hack job..
