  1. I like Gailey. I wasnt thrilled at all when he got hired. I was like are you kidding me? However, he won me over. We were a four win team last year. We couldve easily been a 7 win team had we beaten Baltimore Pittsburgh and KC. It remains to be seen however, I think these young guys will have learned from that experience last year. The last two games not withstanding these guys fought and never gave up. Gailey is an old school guy. He's not Greggy coming in thinking he's hot **** and he's not meek and clueless like Juaron. I dont think he blames others before himself as was stated in an earlier post. I think he holds himself accountable. I dont have a problem calling out a player who isnt living up to potential or expectations such as Maybin. Unlike the previous regime he/they arent afraid of admitting mistakes. Cornell Green was a disasterous signing but they didnt keep him around trying to save face. They got rid of him. Albeit quietly but nonetheless got rid of him. Trent? Mistake and he was sent packing. While admitting mistakes doesnt win games its refreshing to see after the previous regime sticking w failed picks and signings. I also like the fact that Chan looks and acts visibly pissed after losses unlike Juaron. I dont know about the choice of George as our DC and many thought it was a bad idea to go to a 3-4. They way I look at it, if you're gonna make the switch you gotta do it sometime better sooner than later. If we spend a year or two collecting 3-4 players while continuing to play a 4-3 I doubt the result would be much better. Again they brought in Wanstedt and I think we all know why he's here. They arent going to stand pat (no pun intended). I dont know what the future holds and we may never get over the hump w Chan. But I know that I look forward to watching games more than I have in the last 5 years. Our defense got an infusion of talent through the draft and who knows we may sign some FAs (whenever the agreement is reached). Fitz is the guy from day one in year two of this system. We have some very promising WRs now in their second years plus the emergence of Stevie, Roscoe and now bring in Easley. I'm unsure about RT but the rest of the line comes back healthy (Bell and Wood)..... I'm pretty optomistic. I dont think we're playoff bound just yet but I think we'll hang with and beat a few more teams this year and .500 is a possibility......
  2. Exactly I figured I'd spend the 109 or whatever and get the five. I figure if two of them are good its worth it seeing as how the replicas are $85.......
  3. I found them yesterday. The jerseys are not ready for sale. I was willing to take a chance and order them. They told me theyre "still setting up the factory to make them." They had a lot of positive feedback. All in all they had 15 total negative/neutral responses compared to 1200 plus positive responses... I dont know if that makes them good just passing along what I read.......
  4. I may wait till the Chinese knock offs come out and get one with the sewn on numbers
  5. I just want to see Dareus put a huge hit on brady and blow up their running came that would be a start....of course the kind of hit I'm envisioning would likely cause the NFL to create yet another rule to protect their poster boy qb.......
  6. I have nothing against Fewell. However, the defense he ran and players he ran it with were different. I think hes a great DC. I am also happy to see a departure from the "small quick Tampa 2" defense. As far as this nonsense about Marcell Dareus....please. I'm no pro scout. I played the game for over ten years. This guy is a beast. Maybe its just highlights but all the film Ive seen hes a four down player. His attitude and "want to" his seemingly love for the game....Von Miller maybe a phenominal LB. Any LB short of LT is not worthy of a top 3 pick to me. There are times I hate this board for the nonsense and pettiness but this is one of the times I love it.....we all have our opinions
  7. I dont think the white helmets look bad per se. I like them but I think the red is a little bolder plus now 3 of the 4 AFC East teams have white helmets.....
  8. I havent been this excited for the start of the season in a long long time. Im not predicting playoffs or anything outlandish. I just think about how special of a player Dareus is going to be and cant wait to see him putting RBs and QBs on their arses. I think about how many games we were so close in last year (save for the last two disaster games) the team had no quit in it. Throw in some added pieces on Defense especially a guy like Dareus and it should translate into another win or two at least. Guys like him elevate the play of those around them. Not that Williams needs any elevating in his game. I have hopes for Merriman too. I don't think he'll be "lights out" but if hes 50-75% of his former self its an upgrade. Plus I think our offense will be much better. They know Fitz is the guy and we know what we have at WR and RB. They just need to figure out RT.......We have a brutal schedule. If we fare well it will be a great sign for 2012..... There's nothing more I'd like to see than us beating NE at home and the fans tearing down the goalposts!
  9. Getting Married next year and my future Father In Law is a big jets fan.... What a wedding gift it would be to have the Bills play the jets around my wedding date and beat them..... Of all things Blake Costanzo's parents are his next door neighbors! They actually used to come watch the game with the NNJBBB....
  10. He was the MVP of FA signings the last couple of years. He stepped in w all the injuries we had in the secondary and is a vet who provides leadership. He was active in the community and it seems like he wants to be here. I agree w your reasons but didnt need them to sell me. I've been saying we need to resign him since well before last season ended......
  11. I agree with the earlier statement that Buddy had to convince Ralph to let him get rid of Modrak. Why didnt he do it last year at this time? Buddy had only been on the job 3 or 4 months at that point. I think it took a while for Buddy to acquire that kind of juice with Ralph.....
  12. I know we won a few more games in 2009 than last year but there was a no quit fight in the guys last year. I wasnt on board at all w hiring Chan and even Buddy for that matter. But I do think they are the right guys for the job. I'm glad they didnt pick a QB just to pick one or to appease the fans. They didnt believe what they were looking for was there.....
  13. I gotta love this board. Some cant spell while others write haiku........ I just cant wait to see MarceLL drive Brady into the turf.....
  14. Part of his secret evil plan......this was all put in the works the minute we drafted Dareus.....he knows Marcell is gonna put a hit on brady....figured he'd try to capaitalize on it! Just kidding....
  15. this jerkoff did no research if he did he'd know that Jasper played OL last season so the NFL will list him as OL but that the Bills plan to put him in as a Nose on defense. Oh and giving Dareus a lesser grade because he's not a QB is just assanine. Grade the player regardless of need. Well they didnt need a DE as much as QB but hes one of the most talented players in the draft great value.... is what he should've written.... I'm ecstatic we took Marcell and that Newton was gone.......I guess people dont realize how special Dareus is....
  16. I agree. They didnt feel there was a QB worth taking in this draft (so there were no Jim Kellys in this years draft) and they said that when their picks came up the TE or TEs they liked were off the board so it didnt work out. I'm very very glad they didnt reach on either position....
  17. I agree this was a great draft and am happy. I think we are heading in the right direction. I will only add that I think we need to coax Mitch Ferrotte out of retirement to come in on goal line situations as an eligible receiver like the old days!
  18. I agree- w Florence a FA and Youboty gone they need corners and not to mention McGee had injury issues and Leodis hasnt proven hes a true number one guy yet. Whitner is gone so we needed a safety and I also agree they're trying to get bigger on Defense.......
  19. Why does anyone here care what the pats do? I dont give a rats arse who they draft. Until we draft/sign more good players we are not going to beat them whether is Ryan Mallett or Ryan Leaf they draft. I guarantee the only time in the draft Buddy cares what they do is if they draft a player he covets....Im concerned with what we do!
  20. For one I dont care what the pats do in the draft. I'm worried about what the Bills do. Second, the pats had picks to play with so drafting mallett was a luxury, if you will, that they could afford. I agree that his greatest value to them will be in trade to another team down the line. In fact, I hope we face him. I hope Marcell knocks the hell out of Brady and puts him on the sideline (of course this will lead the NFL to create yet another rule to somehow protect their poster boy). We needed help on the defensive side of the ball and needed to get bigger on defense and we've done just that up to this point. Remember all the QB's we should've drafted last year? None of them produced much if anything and not one of them is better than Fitz (Bradford not withstanding but we never had a shot at him). So if Buddy and Chan didnt deem any of these guys worthy then I have to trust their judgement. Also, I'd like to see us get better on defense and better as a team before drafting a QB. A QB we draft has got a much better shot at succeeding on a better team w more talent around him when we finally do draft him....
  21. I'm happy thus far. They're doing what they said they were going to do. Theyre drafting for Defense and trying to get bigger on defense. I think Dareus is going to be huge for us. We finally got the type of player the pats usually end up with, the kind that kills us twice a season for years...only its going to be our guy doing it to them! I like Williams and Sheppard too!
  22. In that case I hope most of the guys selected this year work our for their respected teams so that they're not back in the hunt for a Qb next year:) And even if thats the case Im still glad we didnt take on in the first three rounds this year.....
  23. Im not sure if this point has been brought up yet. I'm sorry if it has I havent been checking the board and was at the draft on the first night. If all the QB needy teams are grabbing (reaching for) QBs this year might that not help us have a shot at a decent QB in next years draft? I know Luck is not a possibility but look at a guy like Roethlisberger (his off the field issues not withstanding) i believe he was picked at number 11. Im not saying we'll get a guy like him just saying that if we're picking in the 10-12 range we still maybe able to get a decent QB and if maybe one will slide if there arent a lot of QB needy teams next year.......then again some of these teams reaching for QBs this year could find themselves drafting a QB again next year if their guys look pretty awful (see Carolina and Claussen).... Im very happy w our picks thus far and very happy we passed on a QB (thus far) this year....
  24. thats great theres a BBB in Santa Monica! I live right outside NYC but was in LA for St Patricks Day and spent some time at an Irish bar in Santa Monica!
  25. I didnt have time to listen/watch. I went by what I read in the posts. I'm not dilusional that Fitzy is the next Jim Kelly however, I was under the impression he was criticizing Fitzy based on incomplete information.......
