The Bills D--even with all the injuries, was better at both. Von and Hyde were definitely missed. Hamlin is a backup. Poyer was indeed useless, but not because he was injured--he was burnt left and right in that Bengals game. A liability---and an All Pro! But you are definitely correct re: coaching. If the Bills were convinced, already knowing all the sordid alleged acts, that he was innocent and would someday not be charged...why on earth would they abandon him after what they had known for a month became public (and the predicted s+++storm ensued)? They knew about "the optics" that were coming. Why go through all of this and then cut him? Do you really believe they somehow could NOT anticipate the public response? No way that's possible.
