  1. Hauschka wasn't a punter.
  2. it’s camp—1 dozen practices
  3. no team thought he was the best Punter in the draft. what would he produce that would convince the jury that a preponderance of evidence proves he raped her? Simply saying “he raped her after the video” won’t work doc. how does a Punter get overworked in training camp?
  4. Smoothest in the business by far. He gave a shoutout to the U of R as well--tossing out that fact that George Eastman paid to move the original Oak Hill in Rochester to Pittford so that the River Campus could be built on it's former site. The move turned out very well for both entities.
  5. yes what is alleged is a crime. it's now a tort because the DA, after what they felt was an exhaustive investigation, found no evidence of such. What might the plaintiff's lawyer have that would prove a crime and why would he not have produced it before now? Wouldn't a criminal charge make his civil case a lot more solid? Why was he withholding "the evidence"? also, I guess a team would bring in another Punter to camp if their current Punter stinks, not for some sort of work load issue, or whatever doc was getting at.
  6. They are good punters because no one said they raped them? That made them get those numbers? lol ok is there a lot of wear and tear on the primary Punter in training camp? I’ve not heard that. I would think they are the least load stressed players in the dorm…
  7. Teams think he might be found liable? How is that possible if he's cleared? The recent news detailing that should put any team at ease right now, no? Who knows if he's good enough, one punt not withstanding. I was making the point that the guys picked ahead of him have paid off. Most teams bring in a second punter to camp? For what? Link?
  8. He's been cleared. What's the optics problem now? 2 guys were taken 2 rounds ahead of him because 2 teams thought they were a better pick at Punter. Those picks paid off: Camarda is an excellent Punter last year--#5 in yards per. Stout had 46 yards per and put nearly 46% inside the 20---ranked 5th in the league.
  9. it's like you're not even trying anymore...
  10. It was 6 years. 5 at Georgia, one at JUCO. He majored in football, like 99% of every NFL player. He just didn't get the piece of paper with the "BS in General Studies" on his way out. At least he's not pretending to be a college grad. None of this is odd.
  11. "Will other teams “never sign him”? How do I know. Maybe tomorrow they will, or Monday." I don't delete posts. Mods sometimes do. I've only seen any quotes alleging only 2 teams knew about the incident before the draft. I don't think they spend a ton of time over round 6th and 7th guys. They will each represent about 5% of all starters on rosters. In rounds 4-7, picks started in about 7% of games over the 5 years after they were drafted (combined). As a combined group, they did far worse than UDFA. As for Araiza, by the time the 6th rolled around, I'm sure the Bills were like, sure, why not?
  12. It was a simple question that would naturally follow your question of my assertions.... But I did understand your guesses would be speculation when I asked. So you may respond. As for his football resume? It begins and ends with one year as a starting Punter in his 4th year of college. Every team was aware of it before the draft. 2 (of 4 total) teams looking for a Punter weren't impressed with that resume.
  13. War rooms don’t spend much energy scratching their heads over day 3 picks. It’s not hard to conceive. The took a flyer on an internet sensation who was passed over by two other teams who spent much higher (4ths) on better Punters. Araiza was a lark pick. No other team through 5 rounds said, “what the heck, let’s take The Punt God”. And no team has brought him in (he’s available). Will other teams “never sign him”? How do I know. Maybe tomorrow they will, or Monday.. Tell me why they haven’t to this point?
  14. Wouldn't have needed them for that. Where was the popular support for this stadium deal? It was unpopular across regions and political spectra.
  15. You're right, 6th round.
  16. lol..."if the Bills get blown out" (by the Jags) Anyway, so someone suggested The NFL will decide if 8 teams will potentially have to travel to Jax London "home" games in the near future....based on how they handle the Bills this October?
  17. If he's cleared, absolutely. Guy is 33 and signed a big contract. His value is in his availability at this point. There's not a lot of time to squeeze that value out of him.
  18. If he wasn't drafted, he couldn't be a draft afterthought---7th round, 230 guys were drafted before him. He wasn't the 1st or even the 2nd Punter drafted--2 better guys were drafted in the 4th.
  19. dang, dead again??
  20. If this was Josh Allen, the Bills would have let it play out. But Araiza was a draft afterthought who never played a down in an essentially insignificant position who was quickly, easily and satisfactorily replaced. He had no value to the team. That's not politics. No other team wants him either--they didn't draft him nor have they invited him after he was cleared. Who cares?
  21. Plenty of players enter the league with no diploma. At that level, they aren’t there for the education, but for the exposure that will get them drafted. This has been true for many years. No diploma. Bogus, unearned diploma. There’s no difference. This is suddenly “odd”? It’s how it works. it’s certainly “odd” to consider any of this “a red flag”…
  22. What was Cam Newton's degree in? Brady? Lamar Jackson? Jim Kelly? I don't understand your point.
