  1. Actually, Henne is the starter for the Jags and not Bortles. Before they got Bortles as their prospective future QB earlier this year, the Jags had a number of opportunities to pick up Tebow. They never did.
  2. Ok. So obviously you like Tebow. Unfortunately , no NFL team does . When a QB desperate team like the Jaguars, which is even situated near Tebow 's old college stomping grounds , says "No Thanks" it's pretty much all she wrote . Enjoy watching Tebow on GMA and ESPN college football.
  3. Can we pin this post somewhere? =)
  4. This is all pure speculation on your part.
  5. Can you explain how all this magical spending outside of players truly helps ? The Sabres have been bottom feeders the past two seasons despite the awesome spend that you cite . Green Bay has public ownership and is not backed by seemingly endless wealth . We don't see fancy spending from them on gleaming facilities or expensive trainers. Yet year and and year out they are contenders. It's not about spending the most money. It's about being lucky in getting a critical mass of players who have talent and coaches who can harness.
  6. Thank you. Some posters didnt seem to understand that the cap also has a minimum spend component. It was never the case that the Bills were cheap and were way below the cap.
  7. There is something called the salary cap...
  8. Still scratching my head on the Cowher love. Seems less and less likely that he will be part of an NFL team again given his long absence. Also , he was never really an innovator and relied heavily on his assistants (see Dick Lebeau).
  9. Promo, You should know by now that Elite QBs single handedly win games and can magically make players around them better. It doesn't matter if the other 52 players are awful . Lol . Gotta love the sports cliches.
  10. Eli's career average QB rating is 81. That is at best just above average. Drew Brees has an average of 95 while Aaron Rodgers has an average of 101. Those are elite numbers. Eli may make the hall of fame but it probably won't be first ballot.
  11. Normally , betting against Fitz is likely a good proposition . But if the other QB is RGIII, and you have a defensive line like Houston ....
  12. You can easily amass high QB ratings by not having to do much because of a stout defense. Take a look at the number of attempts and yardage for Wilson and compare to other tob QBs such as Brees, Brady, Manning. He was asked to do a lot less...
  13. A balanced team is almost always going to win over a one sided team?
  14. Love how you are making excuses for the mess of a season last year that the Redskins had. Maybe I can say that EJ has been hurt since last year and thats why his play is bad ? I never said that RGIII is a bust in present period. But he sure looks like he is headed in that direction. His initial success was tied to a gimmick offensive scheme that no one is relying on anymore because it has been figured out. Nothing so far indicates that RGIII can be successful as a pocket passer and thats why there is a lot of noise about having Kirk Cousins start because he can run such an offense better.
  15. If his only good production is going to be one season ,then he is a bust given that Washington literally sold the farm to get him. Comparing his one year success to Bills QBs is not really relevant to the discussion?
  16. RGIII hasn't played well at all since his first season. And he hasn't proved that he can be effective as a pocket passer. It may be the case that he is a bust. Lets see what happens this season.
  17. I'm surprised that Jerry actually listened to his management team and didn't unilaterally order that they draft Manziel.
  18. How much do vendors in airports charge for a bottle of water? How much does a theater charge for popcorn and a soda? Greed seems to a abound everywhere.... Maybe we should institute a socialist economic model then to eliminate such rampant greed, Also you keep citing that NFL owners such as Wilson's family or Kraft would profit in the billions if their teams are sold. Is this really true? If we tallied money in and money out over the years and did the normal time adjustment for the value of the dollar , it likely is the case that the profit would not be as anywhere as big as a number like to claim.
  19. Unless there is some miraculous improvement in Oline play. We won't see much production from our running backs this year. CJ and Fred won't do very well when the opposing defense is able to get into the backfield with ease.
  20. Lol. Probably. And yah based on that picture that Nanker just posted, I guess most folks would want to have Brady Quinn on a magazine cover compared to Jordan
  21. During this memorable game of miserable offense, Quinn had the following stat line: 14 of 36 for 185 yards and a 38.9 completion percentage. 0 TDs. QBR of 34.8. Yup. Quinn sure beat us during that game.
  22. Lots of Lovie love on the board. Kind of reminds me of the time that board members clamored for or lamented fact that we didn't get Jeff Fisher. For reference , Jeff Fisher has amassed a very awesome 0.453 percentage at St Louis in past two seasons . Its not all about the coach.
  23. Has Mallett ever shown anything in an NFL setting that would indicate he can succeed as a QB? If so , then he would be worth a look.
  24. I haven't seen or read much about Da'Rick this pre-season. Maybe the Da'Rick fans from last season's thread can regale us with his latest exploits here..
  25. Stevie certainly has had some memorable drops and fumbles. I still remember potential game winning or sealing events that never came to pass against the Steelers, the Jets, and the Falcons because of Stevie. Were there other games too?
