  1. W-L is a team stat. QBs really do not win or lose games all on their own. Do you think Dalton would be as successful in Cincinnati without that stout defensive front or AJ Green? How has Kaepernick looked against decent defenses this season? Before Kaepernick was installed as the starting QB, the Niners almost got to the Superbowl with Alex Smith during the 2011 season. If not for some muffed punts, the Niners would have likely played in the Superbowl. Also, The Niner's W-L record with Alex Smith under Harbaugh was 19-5-1 . So are you going to tell me that Alex Smith should be someone the Bills should have moved heaven and earth for since he was such a "winning" QB?
  2. So does this mean that we should have made every effort to keep TJax and Fitz?
  3. Wow . Kaepernick did that all by himself? Thats quite a miracle that the 52 other players on the Niners had nothing to with their playoff run and SuperBowl appearance. The Bills were bad last season not just because of Fitz. The porous defense and lack of legitimate threats outside of Spiller / Stevie pretty much doomed the team.
  4. At the rate he is going , Geno will do something even more awesome than Butt Fumble before the season is over.
  5. Andy Dalton is an average QB. The jury is still out on Kaepernick. No way Manning would have signed with the Bills for any amount of money. Only Wilson might be considered a big miss at this stage.
  6. I just saw him throw a 77 yard TD pass .
  7. If Fitz has a decent team around him he can do ok,
  8. You do realize that anyone can go into wikipedia and make an editing change?
  9. Lol . True . But just putting things in perspective since some folks think that 4.46 is some amazing speed.
  10. Calvin Johnson is 6'5 " and around 239. His 40 yard time is listed as 4.39 s. So no. 4.46 is not "pretty darned fast " for someone 6'2".
  11. I see 4.46 as his combine time when I do a Google search. Not shabby. But its not elite speed.
  12. Don't see it now but it had some predictions about Kevin Kolb's starts in the regular season and something else.
  13. Isn't if time to change your sig?
  14. Yes. The Colts are clearly a Mickey Mouse organization since they couldn't mold Rogers into a successful NFL receiver.
  15. Well maybe they are trying to make the running game work with a FB on the field along with RB.
  16. I'm still waiting for the Barbarian to post that Tannehill = Superbowl this year lol.
  17. Tebow did better in Denver since he won a playoff game. Sarcasm off.
  18. Whoa wait . You mean having a strong a running game should matter? But didn't that poster in the Browns trade Richardson thread (is it Dave McBride?) emphatically say that there is no correlation between a strong running game and winning? Blasphemy I say. Lol
  19. Although, Baltimore certainly has holes, I would worry about our susceptibility to the deep ball. It seems that Flacco might feast on us all day with our depleted secondary since throwing deep is the one thing he can do with consistency.
  20. Nope. Am not posting another "woe is me" type thread since its a given that the Bills will go through struggles with the new coaching staff and new personnel. Hopefully we see improvement during the course of the season and not regression. To change things up a bit, lets talk about the following talented teams with some proven coaches whose wheels seem to be falling off early in the season: 1) San Francisco : Is Kaepernick a half season wonder? Except for the season opener where he passed for over 400 yards against a suspect Green Bay defense, he has been awful this year. Do you think San Fran would have been better off with Alex Smith? And where is their defense? It seems to be MIA. 2) Pittsburgh: Age and injuries taking their toll. Whatever happened to that vaunted front office? They have not really addressed any of talent and depth gaps that have become apparent in recent seasons. 3) The Giants: Poor pass protection and no defense = 0-3.
  21. Doesn't the Barbarian have Manziel as his no1 pick in his 2014 mock draft?
  22. Rogers didn't show the Bills anything that made the FO want to continue to invest in him. The Colts have been struggling this season. No evidence yet that they will have a nice offense.
  23. I would argue that those teams had other issues that dragged them down. AP's awesome running last season was neutralized by some pretty crappy QB play for instance. He kept them in games but Ponder often just gave the ball up. When CJ ran for over 2k, didn't the Titans have a revolving door QB issue? The Jags also have not had any acceptable QB play in recent memory. Maybe the real conclusion should be that you need a reasonably balanced team to do well. You can't just have one dominant aspect and expect to do well. Brees has had some huge passing seasons as of late but the Saints went no where since there was no defense or running game to speak of. When Rodgers had that record setting year two season ago , didn't the Pack exit the playoffs early because their defense couldn't do squat?
