  1. i heard that in order to resurrect his career he is bagging groceries and has become deeply religious.
  2. The Bears defense is thoroughly unimpressed with Tim Tebow: After the game, though, the stars on the Bears defense were in no mood to join everyone else in heaping praise on Tebow. Via Alex Marvez at Fox, here are quotes from the pillars of the Chicago D, in order of least to most inflammatory..... Lance Briggs: "He played hard. I respect a guy that plays hard, him and all the other 10 guys on that field for the Broncos." Julius Peppers: "It wasn't anything special that he did." Brian Urlacher: "He's a good running back." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/The-Bears-defense-is-thoroughly-unimpressed-with?urn=nfl-wp13670
  3. #1- that spiller draft year was weak, even looking at it now, it has to be the least talented collection first rounders in a decade. having said that, i would not have picked spiller. #2- Fitz is the least of our problems. i rank him the 20th best QB in football. do we need a franchise QB ?....yes, but Fitz is more than adequate until that guy arrives. plus the bills have two "outs" to void that contract, the first is immediately after this season, which is unlikely and the second is after year 3, which is the most likely scenario....no way he see's year 6.
  4. my overall view is upbeat..... #1- PRO- team looked good early on with everyone healthy. huge improvement over last year. #2- CON- team depth was exposed as god awful. purging of useful overpaid vets caught up with them. i look for a huge improvement of depth for next season. having said that, we probably will lose to miami this week.
  5. nice !! for me, Tebow and the Broncos are the 2nd best story of the year in the NFL, i really enjoy watching and cheering him on. the best story is Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, hoping they go 19-0 and put an end to that champagne popping undefeated Dolphins team.
  6. When Tim Tebow touches water it turns into Gatorade.
  7. Charles Barkley is "Tebowed out". "It's clearly a media-drive story," Barkley said. "They just want you to argue about Tim Tebow. Dude, let the kid play. If he can play, good. If he can't play it will show. But to have this argument every single day after five or six games is just ridiculous. "Tim Tebow is a good player. I wish him luck, but if I don't ever hear the words Brett Favre or Tim Tebow again it won't be enough." http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7335841/stop-tim-tebow-madness
  8. • Manning is due a $28 million contract bonus before March. If the Colts give him that money, it would trigger the remaining four years of his contract and would put Manning’s salary cap hit for 2012 at $17 million. • The Colts cannot trade Manning prior to paying him that bonus, so the only two realistic options are to release him before it kicks in or hold onto him for at least another season. • Cutting Manning would save the Colts approximately $6.6 million toward the 2012 salary cap — Manning’s cap hit would drop from $17 million (with $35.4 million actually paid out to him because of the bonus) to $10.4 million, if Indianapolis released him. http://nfl.si.com/20...?sct=nfl_bf1_a3
  9. Peyton is done !!....he will retire before taking another regular season snap. all he is going to do now is bilk indy out of another $28 mil by playing along.....just a repeat of last year.....go thru rehab, OTA's, training camp etc.... then when judgement day comes, his neck won't be right and he will retire. heck 90% of folks thought he would start this season from day 1.

  11. Week 15 flex decision ruffles some feathers within the league. plenty of people around the league have a very strong opinion about the situation. As one source with one of the teams not directly involved in the situation explained it, the decision has sparked a significant amount of strongly-worded email traffic among executives with the various teams regarding the manner in which the league handled the decision not to shift New England at Denver from 4:15 p.m. ET to 8:20 p.m. ET. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/08/week-15-flex-decision-ruffles-some-feathers-within-the-league/
  12. i say Polian is screwed..... as previously stated, i think Peyton is DONE.....but he's smart enough to play them along so he can cash the next $28 million......it will be a repeat of last year....go thru all the rehab...OTA's, training camp..get ready just like normal, but obviously without contact. then prior to the start of the regular season, something "medical" will come up and he will retire. I'd be shocked if indy cut him lose before the $28 million.
  13. NBC and CBS are in a Tim Tebow tug-of-war..... The Week 15 Sunday night NBC game is currently scheduled to be the Baltimore Ravens against the San Diego Chargers. NBC, despite the fact that the Chargers were so dazzlingly brilliant on Monday night, would like to exercise its flex scheduling option and show something else. In this case, that something else is the New England Patriots vs. the Denver Broncos, or, as it will be hyped endlessly by NBC in the event that it get its paws on it, Tom Brady vs. Tim Tebow. The Golden Boy vs. The Chosen One is currently slated to air on CBS at 4:15 p.m. ET. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/NBC-and-CBS-are-in-a-Tim-Tebow-tug-of-war?urn=nfl-wp13351
  14. Although Peyton adroitly has avoided any discussion regarding the future, plans undoubtedly are being made. There’s a good chance that the final plan already has been crafted, and that the only thing left to do is implement it. If that’s the case, Archie Manning’s comments from Tuesday become even more significant. Given that Archie caucused with Oliver Luck the night before Archie told FOX Sports Radio that he “doubts” Peyton and Andrew Luck want to be on the same team, it’s safe to assume that Oliver agrees with that sentiment. Once the Colts clinch the first overall pick and once Andrew Luck declares his intention to enter the 2012 draft, look for Archie and Oliver to form a Legion of Doom-style tag team, with each former quarterback taking turns placing a little more pressure on Bill Polian and company. At some point, Oliver could explain that Andrew respects the fact that the Colts have a quarterback, and that it would make more sense for the Colts to use the first overall pick to help their quarterback win more championships. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/07/colts-cant-pay-and-trade-peyton/
  15. incompetent ?? laughing because apparently he is one of the smartest owners, as evidense by his stance on the previous collective bargaining agreement, there were only two dissenters among the NFL owners, Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson and Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown. It took two years for ALL the other owners to figure it out. i could go through a littany of his education, service to country, his contributions to the NFL, his steadfast commitment to keeping the bills in buffalo, etc..... he is far from incompetent....you should be so lucky.
  16. But buried in the fine print are some interesting restrictions and the steep fine that could accompany them: The NFL Rules prohibit conduct by shareholders of NFL member clubs that is detrimental to the NFL, including [...] publicly criticizing any NFL member club or its management, employees. If the Commissioner of the NFL (the "Commissioner") decides that a shareholder of an NFL member club has been guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the NFL then, among other things, the Commissioner has the authority to fine such shareholder in an amount not in excess of $500,000 and/or require such shareholder to sell his or her stock. In addition, if the Commissioner determines that a shareholder has bet on the outcome or score of any game played in the NFL, among other things, then the Commissioner may fine such shareholder in an amount not in excess of $5,000 and/or require such shareholder to sell his or her stock. http://packersowner.com/ http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/You-can-now-buy-shares-of-the-Packers-but-with-?urn=nfl-wp13316
  17. Manning is done....he will hang around long enough to get the next $28 mil, then call it a day. There is no point in risking permanent injury. Indy takes Andew Luck and starts over with their next Franchise QB. As far as Papa Manning comments....he is a master at manipulation to run cover for his boys.
  18. pat down...no wands.....lines were completely empty about an hour before game.
  19. i'd say cleveland, minnesota, jacksonville and washington are in worse position than buffalo right now. i'd say st louis, miami, tampa, seattle, arizona and kc are as equally in bad position as buffalo.....you can throw indy in here if peyton is forced to retire. i mostly base this on the nucleus of the handful of good young players and the amount of salary cap the bills have available to improve the team going forward.
  20. someone needs a hug.....
  21. as long as the OLB weighs +260 lbs and runs like Patrick Willis......otherwise i want a +300 lb lineman......who runs like Patrick Willis.
  22. finnegan is a punk....probably a dive..... but without seeing the reverse angle, you can't tell for sure.
  23. doctors talk ALL the time.....as an example, i have previously posted confidential info regarding Tom Brady.
