#1- bills don't like what they have at LG #2- cordy's weakness has been exposed in camp (speed rushers). #3- kill two birds with one stone. move cordy inside where he will dominate. #4- bills don' like what is behind cordy at LT #5- everyone back to where there were.

NFL to examine quality of preseason, lower ticket pricespapazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives while I agree with ya, no way they take less revenue. if they kept the 16-4 schedule (2 home preseason games) they could cut the preseason games in half, but then they would just increase the regular season tix price to make up for it. I think the final answer is going to be to stay at 16 regular, go down to 2 preseason and then ADD either one or two more playoff teams from each conference (up from the current 6) so that the added revenue comes from playoff games.

The NFL still is looking at different formats for the split of regular-season and preseason games -- 18-and-2, 16-and-2 or 17-and-3. The league will examine this year's preseason to figure it out. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000227448/article/nfl-to-examine-quality-of-preseason-games-lower-ticket-prices

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Shuffling on 2nd OL Posted by Chris Brown on August 7, 2013 – 9:49 am Shuffling on the starting O-line with Cordy Glenn moving to LG and Thomas Welch up to starting LT has prompted shuffling on the 2nd O-line as well. Recent signee Tony Hills has replace Welch at 2nd team LT while Doug Legursky is back at 2nd team LG. Colin Brown is now at RG. We’ll ask coach Marrone if he’s still part of the LG competition. Sam Young and David Snow are in their same spots at RT and C with the second group. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/?icampaign=blog_header

Hell no he's not a guard, said Bills GM Buddy Nix of Glenn. He started 50 games and the last 16 were at left tackle. We put it out there and tried to spread the rumor that he was a guard to hope somebody wouldnt take him. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2012/05/04/mayock-on-bills-draft/

Bills vow Doug Marrone will make them winnerspapazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives You are what your record says you are. - Bill Parcells, Former NFL Coach, Superbowl Winner and Hall of Famer #1- Wins & Losses - Nix did NOT improve the Bills in the most important category. #2- Roster - improved slightly, but so did most of the other 31 NFL teams, some much more than the Bills. #3- Entertainment - defense was totally dull and predictable. offense had very little long ball threat. #4- Draft - very average. i'm not particularly impressed considering how high we picked. not much success in 2nd round. as far as 2013, my reasons for optimism are #1- an ATTACKING style defense and #2- a QB (EJ) who can throw a nice deep ball. unfortunately, our schedule is so much harder, i'm predicting a 5-11 record. but they will be much more fun to watch.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Rotoworlds 2013 Offensive Line Rankings: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/43265/179/2013-offensive-line-rankings Spoiler: Bills ranked 22nd. Overview: You'd never know it because of Ryan Fitzpatrick's annually lackluster production, but Buffalo fielded one of the league's most underrated lines during Chan Gailey's tenure. In Gailey's Pistol Spread, the Bills got the ball out quickly and ran efficiently, ranking fifth in yards per carry in 2011 (4.91) and fourth in 2012 (5.02). Gailey spread the field with four and five wideouts, creating advantageous run matchups. Unfortunately, Buffalo lost top lineman Andy Levitre this offseason, and how the remaining players will transition to rookie coach Doug Marrone's scheme remains to be seen. While Fitzpatrick was error prone and lacked starting-caliber arm talent, his quick release masked up-front flaws that may be exposed with painfully-raw rookie E.J. Manuel under center.

Bills vow Doug Marrone will make them winnerspapazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives THE VOW: "This guy will win!' Brandon declared. Told this was a presumptuous statement, Brandon stared hard at his questioner, eyes serious and repeated himself. "He will win," he said. "I believe it." Later, Brandon amended his promise, diluting his words as if, perhaps, they were not what an NFL executive should say about a coach before his team has played a game. "We didn't get into this to hope to win and sell hope," he said. "We expect to win and we believe Coach Marrone will win." http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--bills-vow-doug-marrone-will-make-them-winners-200622445.html
