  1. E J Manuel is the #1 ranked most "clutch" QB in the league. so says an article in the latest edition of ESPN the Magazine. titled "Measuring the Immeasurable" who's clutch? without re-typing the whole thing, it starts out by saying "you know how some scoring drives matter, while others are garbage time". with emphasis on QB's who are leading scoring drives when games are close, late in game or both. guys ranked poorly produce points when it matters less, they're not clutch. example tony romo. (while interesting, i'm still drafting another QB in the first or second round in upcoming draft).
  2. The Kansas City Chiefs claimed wide receiver/kick returner Kyle Williams off waivers Wednesday. Williams was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday. In his fourth season, Williams had 12 catches this season with zero touchdowns. He also worked some as the 49ers' kickoff and punt return specialist, though this season he averaged only 5.1 yards on punt returns and 19.1 yards on kickoffs. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9972559/kyle-williams-lands-kansas-city-chiefs wait......you didn't think I was talking about "our" Kyle Williams ?
  3. if this team had Peyton Manning as QB, we would be 7-3 or better (right now 5-4 gets you in the playoffs). you keep drafting a QB in the first or second rounds until you get it right. I love EJ, but he ain't good enough. i'm not waiting another 2-3 years to see if EJ becomes a franchise QB.
  4. this. if Peyton Manning was the QB of this team, we would be 7-3 or better. until you have a clear Franchise QB (top 10)you are just spinning your wheels. EJ's upside looks like top 20, that ain't good enough.
  5. #1- Franchise QB #2- LG #3- TE
  6. E J Manuel is NOT a "franchise" QB. keep drafting til you get it right.
  7. here in our own community, another example how society treats so called "snitches" and almost admires thugs: It's nearly impossible to fathom that this really happened: At least three teachers at Cheektowaga Central High School kept up a clearly inappropriate personal relationship with a student who had been charged with murder. Two of the teachers joined in cellphone calls from jail, that interrupted classes, and one told the incarcerated student that a student snitch, whom she named, might testify against him. The third worked part time at the Erie County Holding Center and kept the defendant informed of events at school and in the Holding Center, where one of his relatives was also jailed. Cheektowaga police said their investigation was hindered by a lack of cooperation from potential witnesses. That's no wonder, considering that a teacher was identifying at least one of those witnesses, making the student vulnerable to possible retaliation. The student identified by the teacher did not testify at the trial. http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/buffalo-news-editorials/teachers-who-value-suspects-over-law-enforcement-have-no-business-keeping-their-jobs-20131107
  8. it's only "over" if Martin wants it over. no way the dolphins cut him before his 4 year deal is up, which doesn't end until after the 2015 season.
  9. In a society where every issue seems to have two sides and there's no subtlety or nuance or middle ground, NFL needs to make it clear to all players, coaches, broadcasters, and anyone else connected to the game that there can be no reasonable debate on this topic. Martin did the right thing. Indeed, Martin did the only thing he should have done. Players who choose to stand up for themselves via physical and verbal confrontations risk an escalation that could turn ugly. Given the number of American workplaces in which disgruntled employees have committed horribly violent acts and in light of the high percentage of professional football players who own guns, getting in a guy's face away from the field no longer should be regarded as an acceptable solution to harassment. A truly grown-ass man will at all times refrain from violence, he'll file a complaint, and he'll deal with the flak from any meatheads who think that it's still better to punch someone in the mouth. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/11/05/martin-bears-no-blame-for-doing-the-right-thing/
  10. if Peyton Manning was the QB of the Bills, we would be 7-2 or better. this team is already good enough, (even needing upgrades at LG, TE & OLB/DE) that we are one franchise QB (Top 10) away from being a playoff team. I love E J Manuel, but he is NOT a franchise QB based on his small body of work. he could become one, but I doubt it. I see him topping out around the 15th best QB in the league, still not good enough. Thad and Tuel no way they ever become Top 10.
  11. the #1 problem with this team is still a lack of a FRACHISE QB. not even sure if E J is that guy. if peyton manning was the QB of this team, we are 7-2 or better.
  12. pinning the loss on stevie is garbage. #1- i blame the coaches for calling any play for T J Graham, let alone a key play. #2- i blame a green rookie QB. this team is 1 FRANCHISE QB away from making the playoffs. the jury is still out on if E J is that QB. if Peyton Manning was the QB of this team we would be 7-2 or better.
  13. this will be a hate crime. richie will be suspended indefinitely for years.
  14. whoever answered said there is no jenny here and hung up.
  15. i hope they give him til the bye week and start him against atlanta.
  16. Chandler is NOT good enough. slightly above average hands (excepting yesterday) and HORRIBLE blocker.
  17. Graham is HORRIBLE and should be cut.
  18. last year KC had 6 pro bowlers (lots of talent) and led the league in turnovers (fixable) with shoddy QB play (fixed). their turn around is not a surprise.
  19. this is minor, but even our own Mario Williams got in on the act of teasing him. in that recent video when mario was mic'd up during the miami game, immediately following one play, mario was chuckling pretty good to himself and then turned to Martin and was laughing about the way Martin "hopped" while blocking and how it threw mario off a little. Martin didn't hear him right the first time and responded "i wasn't holding you". Mario said "no, that hop you did". Martin said "oh" and mario kept chuckling.
