Nice work.. though I'm not going to give you the Giant's Steve Smith.. considering he's on the Eagles now and he's 4th string. haha scrath that.. apparently he's on the rams now? -
The world is ending this year, I'm convinced

I hear you loud and clear... I'm 23 and have the same fear. My father is 60 and my grandfather is 90 and I'm really hoping my gpa gets to see one before he goes. He's been waiting way too long to go out without seeing the bills win the superbowl. -

5'11 is small for a WR.. maybe not a "midget" but close enough for the point he was making. How many successful WRs can you name that are under 6 feet tall? Wes Welker may be the only exception, and he fulfills a different role than we expect Graham to... -
....?

Can you name any "outside deep threats" who are under 6 foot? I just tried to off the top of my head and I cant think of any..

RD 3, Pick #69: WR TJ Graham - NC State
Billsrhody replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the props San Jose. And you're right, Harvin did carry the ball a lot in college (70 times in his final year ) but I think that was probably more a product of the option offense they ran (with Tebow). He did carry the ball 54 times last year for Minnesota, but that was more a product of Adrian Peterson getting hurt. Harvin had the majority of his carries in the games that he missed (the 2 years prior he had 15 and 18 carries). Percy Harvin's versatility is what pushed him up into the first round, but from what I know about TJ Graham, they could play a similar role in the passing and return game. -
WOW. Ryan Tennehill's wife is HOT!!!!!!

Mike Wallace 6'0", 199 lbs Last college year: 39 rec, 784 yds, 7 tds 40 time: 4.28 Vertical: 40 TJ Graham 5'11", 188 lbs Last college year: 46 rec, 757 yds, 7 tds 40 time: 4.41 Vertical: 33 Aside from college production.. they don't exactly match up. However... Percy Harvin 5'11", 192 lbs Last college year: 40 rec, 644 yds, 7 tds 40 time: 4.39 Vertical: 37 Hopefully he can fill a role similar to what Percy Harvin does in Minnesota. He's a dynamic game changer with his speed and agility in the passing game. -
RD 1, Pick #10: DB Stephon Gilmore - South Carolina

Does anyone have a good draft evaluation video of Gilmore? I haven't really seen any highlight reel / game breakdown on him yet... -
1st round grades by Pete Prisco
Billsrhody replied to erynthered's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of his grades are super subjective.. based on who he likes and dislikes. Time will tell! -
OT: Glenn, Martin, Adams TE: Fleener WR: Hill, Randle, Jeffrey OLB: David, Upshaw The way I see it, we're guaranteed one of these guys, and I'd be happy with any of them really.

I dont think you can watch "youtube" highlights from 2 games and make the claims you're making. I watched every BC that Kuechly played in and rarely is he not the best player on the field. I dont know how you can base a draft day decision based purely on 2 game films. I find it absurd that you dont care about combine results, college production, or interviews. Considering the fact that he is the ACC career leader in tackles, dont you think he must have some good instincts and at least average athletic ability? You act like joe schmoe could walk onto a football field and put up the kind of numbers he did. The results from the combine, paired with interviews will tell you that he is a hard worker who eats, sleeps, and breathes football, that he is willing to put the time in to prepare and take care of himself. Its fine that you disagree with me on Kuechly, I have no problem with that. I just don't get the logic behind your opinion. -

Inferior talent? I'm not sure where you got that from. If anything, Kuechly is rated higher than Barron on most people's boards. Also, he's a MLB and OLB. I dont think anyone would consider it a "reach" if we drafted Kuechly at 10. -

Either way.. Wilson is a better player than what we have at linebacker. Kuechly is a significant upgrade over the player he would replace (Morrison or Sheppard) and Barron is not. Why would you take a good player off the field to put a slightly better player in (this may not even be true), when you could draft a player who would be a major upgrade at another position? -

There are so many things wrong with the argument you just tried to make.. First of all.. let me try to understand your line of thinking here.. Players that dont come from the SEC, Big Ten, or Big 12 cannot be good football players? Last time I checked the ACC is a power conference. They play quality opponents every week inside of the conference. VT, GT, ND, Miami, Florida St to name a few. Brian Urlacher played college football at New Mexico. Any idea who they play on a yearly basis? How does he fit in to your theory? Second.. the links you posted dont even show Kuechly stats in the games. Sure the team lost, but you have no idea how Kuechly played. Can you name one other player from BCs defense or offense without looking it up? How about Alabama? Why dont you keep that in mind when you start comparing players. Kuechly was the one good player on a mediocre team. Third.. you cannot look at just 2 games even if he did play poorly in them. Why dont you try looking at his entire body of work, including college production, combine results, and interviews. After that, you might be able to come up with a more accurate assessment. -

First of all.. when you're looking at comparing two players, you cant just look at 1 down. What would Barron do for 1st and 2nd down? If you look at all 3 downs, clearly we have more talent on the field at 1 time if we have Kuechly. -

I dont know if I like that trade.. if Kalil gets by 3 then I dont mind taking a chance to see him fall all the way to 10. Otherwise, I'm fine with picking Kuechly. -
Willis could be considered the best draft pick ever: Grantland Article Article is a good read.. I recommend it. But anyways, you can't really hold every middle linebacker to Willis' standards. Its unlikely that anyone lives up to that kind of potential. However, I do believe Kuechly will be a very good player and will eventually be top 5 at his position.

Is he a leader like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07fhOVQ9wEA

"Downhill player" or "Downhill runner" No body is running on slants.. come on!
-
I think you just contradicted yourself...
-
Exactly.. isnt safety one of the strongest positions on our roster?
-
You assume that drafting a WR guarantee's getting a good player. At this point Easley is just as proven as Blackmon or Floyd.
-
Limit him by holding Brady to 300 yds and 2 TDs? All I'm saying is that their offense is going to get theirs.. some posters are making it seem like Kuechly wont be worth drafting unless he can hold Grownkowski without a catch.
