The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Wacka replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Have to look again if it was the Funeral Director or the Hospice person, but my mother's death certificate said dementia. We all had COVID but were only diagnosed oswd that day. In fact , Hospicev alled us the next day to say her test was positive. If had even mentioned COVID, I would have disputed it. -

Webb Hubbel and Hillary's daughter, Chelsea is a Stanford grad. We had an undergrad student in the lab one semester that was in the DKE fraternity. DKE was the closest to a real life Delta House there. He said Chelsea would attend all the weekend parties and get s-faced every weekend. The Secret Service would stand guard outside the frat house. DKE got kicked off campus the next year. -

I'd hire a UB grad over a Stanford grad any day. Worked at Stanford from '95-'97. Graduate degrees were good, but the undergrad degree at that time wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. Might have changed since then, but at that time you could resign from the class until the last week of the semester and not have it appear on your transcript. You could take the class multiple times with only the final time showing on the transcript. -

Not much in Hartford. Lived in Bristol for 2 years. Literally a quarter mile away from ESPN HQ. Went to the street and looked over and could see the satellite dishes. Was only in Hartford for a Whalers game (when I went to interview for my job) and to see the Sabres vs Whalers. Got to sit 2 rows behind the Sabres bench because there was a snowstorm. Went to see the USS Nautilus in New London and Mystic Seaport. Basketball HOF is only 30-40 miles north in Springfield, MA. -
Isn't the word propping him up? If it was't for Jill, Joke would fall over.

Remember going to a bar and seeing people crowding around a Pac Man game watching a person breaking a 100 K score. Lived in Sunnyvale, CA for a couple of years and there was a small comedy club/bar called Rooster T. Fethers (may still be in businesss). Nolan Bushnell (founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese) installed the first Pong game there. The next morning, the owner of the club called to tell him the game was broken. He showed up and found that the coin box was full. No one had anticipated the demand.

At the DNC convention (AKA this summer's Nazi/ CCP/ politburo convention) They should play Prince's "Party Like It's 1999" but change 1999 to 1968. Maybe CBS can rehire Dan Rather and strap a bulky camcorder to his back. -

More good news. 10 weeks post transplant. Went Monday for a biopsy on new kidney. Went today for labs and to see the doc. No signs of rejection. Physician's assistant said they rate the biopsy results from 0-15 with 0 being a newborn and 15 being almost dead. Mine was a 4. She said the best she has ever seen was a 2. May be able to be out in public without a mask by month's end.

Any Playboy magazine collectors past or present?
Wacka replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
A friend grew up in Gettysburg,PA. He still had a an early 70's Playboy. He kept it because th centerfold in the issue was a HS classmate of his. Everybody in town knew her before Playboy because her parents owned a small local amusement park. He showed us her picture in the yearbook. Her name in Playboy was different because her last name (I kid you not) was D*ck.😀
