  1. Excellent read Shaw. I truly enjoy reading your game write ups. This one was right there near the top of all of them.
  2. Jim Ritcher. I always liked him as a player and just because.
  3. In July 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL increased the practice squad size to 16 for the 2020 season, with six slots open to players with any amount of experience. Additionally, each week, teams may designate up to four practice squad players who then cannot be signed by other teams to their active rosters.[18] Additional protocols are in place for activation of large numbers of practice squad players in the event of an outbreak.
  4. Or, maybe "Mauron" saw things that the average fan didn't
  5. Using the quote from Hill: ""That was a well-designed play by (offensive coordinator) Scott Linehan," Hill said. "It was designed to get him isolated on the middle linebacker and that's exactly what happened." From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20101114/SPORTS0101/11140331/Sloppy-Lions-outdo-themselves--lose-25th-straight-on-road#ixzz15OM6Mmkd This would appear to be just a good call at the right time by the Lions. (Other teams do watch film on the Bills)+ I know finding fault on Donte is the in thing here, but this one doesn't look like Whitners fault. Kinda makes you wonder about past games and the middle being open.
  6. That would be Steve Johnson except for a few games. He has been here 3 years and because of a couple of games the Bills "SHOULD" pay him.
  7. Yep, he played DE and took his customary couple of plays getting pushed down to the ground. While your into benching players, how about we also bench that other safety, what's his name again......oh yeah, Jairus Byrd, I forgot as he has been invisible all year.
  8. Really agree with you here, I also thought the OL did very well.
  9. I agree, I don't think I have ever seen a worse looking front 7.
  10. I am not a huge fan of Edwards or the Bills attempt at a 3-4, but I can't say that this proves the team is not well coached. You have never seen a player other than Byrd (who has been almost non existent this year) even on a good team not do this ? Players learn this concept in Pee wee football. He tried to make a play, it didn't happen. McKelvin biting on a pump fake, or plain just getting burned, your right, I have never seen this happen on a good coached team. /sarcasm off
  11. Based on What ? 2008 Drafted and played mostly back-up to Jabari Greer. 2009 started first 3 games and went down with a season ending injury. 2010 we are just 3 games in.
  12. Do you really think Chan was going to "dog" one of his own players in public ?
  13. You mean that one drive that the fish played a preseason type prevent ?
  14. Both rookies and young veterans are eligible for the practice squad. However, a player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than three seasons, or if he has accrued a year of NFL experience (six or more games on a club's 53-man active roster or official Injured Reserve list.) If the player was on the active list for fewer than 9 games during their "only Accrued Season(s)", he maintains his eligibility for the practice squad. Hardy does not qualify, in 2008 alone he dressed for 14 games, let alone the accrued time on IR. Lankster does nor qualify as he dressed for 10 games last year.
  15. I would defer as well. There is a possibility of getting an extra offensive series this way. You could end the 1st half and begin the 2nd half with the ball. I know sometimes the wind may be to your advantage, but outdoors both teams will get an equal share and even that is nullified when playing indoors.
  16. Regardless who Bill wanted, He stilled called Druckenmiller a can't miss prospect and compared him to Bledsoe at the time. "He has good size, about 6-5, 235, and a strong arm. He has such great potential and athletic ability, a la Drew Bledsoe, that he is a can't-miss" "He is a take-charge type of guy you want to be your leader at quarterback. In terms of throwing and leadership ability, he has been compared to Jim Kelly, who is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks ever to play the game." He also liked Pat Barnes "Another can't-miss guy with superb skills and instincts. He is about 6-3, 212 and his arm is very good. Not as strong as Druckenmiller, but that is sometimes overrated by those evaluating players for the NFL. " http://www.sportsxchange.com/DS97/WALSH/walsh4.htm If you read the clip about Druckenmiller, it kinda reads like his endorsement of Edwards.
  17. Your kidding right ? Wood was more productive in his first game than Maybin the Muffin Man has been in all his glory at OBD.
  18. In 2007, Trent became the starter about 1/2 way in and showed us: Edwards 2007 Yards per attempt: 6.1 TD/INT ratio: 0.9 QB rating:70.4 Now compare Edwards first full year as starter to another ex-Bill QB named Lossman. We know How that turned out. Lossman 2006 Yards per attempt: 7.1 TD/INT ratio: 1.4 QB rating:84.9
  19. +1 Do we really need to find some obscure stat to make us feel like Edwards is any good ?. Kelly was cocky and had just as much as an ego to match it. He was vocal (wrong or right) on the fields as well as off. But he also believed he could win all by himself and never doubted his abilities. He had the fire and will to win and his teammate believed and followed him. Other than the fact that they both wore the same uniform, they are miles apart.
  20. Or he was not accepting his fair share of the blame. He is very good at not accepting any blame.
