  1. What makes you think that they will sign Wood? Remember the Briere - Drury debate? How did that turn out?
  2. I know. How will the Bills ever win 6 games again?
  3. I'm interested to find out, but I would expect to see Dareus get a look at DE along with M Williams in the 3-4, with Carrington and Johnson backing up. K Williams will be a half baked NT. I hear what you're saying- what do they do with K Williams if they draft a NT? I don't know what the answer is but the Bills defense with Dareus and Williams was very weak versus the run. They need a bigger body in the middle to shore things up. One other long shot option would be to play M Williams as an OLB and Kyle Williams as DE in a Wade Phillips style "5-2". Then you could have a new NT and Dareus as the other DLs and Anderson as the other OLB. I'm not sure that it would work since you would have two guys (Williams and Dareus) that you probably wouldn't want to leave on an open edge and two former DEs playing in space if they dropped. I think that it may be something to look at though IF they can find a NT.
  4. Come on, Dave Garrard is terrible. Frankly, I think that he is even a downgrade from Tebow.
  5. The Bills absolutely need a big body at DT. The don't have a legitimate 1 or 0 technique player on their roster, IMO. Dareus is the closest but I think that even he is better playing as a penetrating DT. When Kyle Williams got hurt two years ago, Dareus moved to his position and played very well. The need is even more urgent if they are going to play any 3-4. I think that this is the biggest need on the DL. They have plenty of guys who can play DE: M Williams, Carrington, Johnson even Dareus (which is what he was drafted for).
  6. Yup. The game plan was just to sell out vs the pass, frequently dropping 8 or even 9 men into coverage. The result was that the Bills ran it right down their throats: 25 rushes, 166 yards, 6.6 ypc, 2 rushing TDs. The Giants defense did OK but they didn't really stop the Bills offense. The problem was that the Bills defense couldn't get off the field. I don't see what the Giants defensive game plan had to do with that.
  7. I wonder what's going to happen to Tebow.
  8. Does he have a track record of success at that position or would this be another Chris Kelsay experiment?
  9. I would say that he'd be a luxury, not really a need. Bills need a NT and LBs, but have lot's of DE candidates.
  10. You are correct. The idea that native americans should be treated with respect IS a minority opinion. That is my point. And they have no political power. I'm not sure what your reference to laughable refers to. They are overwhelmingly poor and uneducated, they don't have any influence in congress or other levels of government and they are a massive minority. They are easy to push around. That is why teams like the Redskins or individuals like yourself don't care if you offend them or not. If lucrative corporate sponsorships started drying up then I'll bet the Redskins would change their tune, but that won't happen. It's all about power in the end, and native americans don't have any.
  11. It just goes to show how little regard and sensitivity people in this country have for native americans. Racial epitaphs against all other ethnic groups, including blacks who constantly complain about being belittled, are considered inappropriate but for native americans it's of no importance and in fact offensive garbage if it gets in the way of a good sports team logo. Can't call asians "slopes" or Germans "krouts" or Blacks "ni$$ers" (can't even write that one) or Italians "guineas" or Latino's "spics" but "Redskin" is all good for native americans. It's just because they have no political power in this country. Without power you're at other people's mercy and there is very little mercy in this world.
  12. Actually, I think that's a picture of you. I was trying to set you up for a witty retort, similar to the "He has a hell of a stiff arm though", but apparently that was too much to ask.
  13. Yes. My thoughts exactly. McKelvin may be at a more desirable position but he is no where near the player Levitre is. I'm glad he's back too but if the choice was between him and Levitre then I think they screwed up.
  14. Tom Landry is dead.
  15. I wonder what the reaction would be if there was a team named the New York Ni$$ers. Offensive or just good fun? I doubt that Native Americans see the term "Redskin" as any different.
  16. We'll see if he can play 3-4 OLB in training camp but I doubt it. I thought he was a pretty effective 4-3 DE and young. He has pretty good potential to become a solid rotational player, just not for a 3-4 defense IMO. Maybe they'll move Moats back to OLB in the Bills Musical Chairs defense.
  17. You and others on this board say that they have talked. I hope that they have and are just waiting for a last second, save the day cavalry charge to resign him. I'm not losing any sleep over anyone else that they have cut, including Nelson, and wouldn't miss Fitz too much but Levitre would hurt. He is a good player just entering his prime. Yeah but that draft certainly did not have the look of Nix drafts when he was GM or follow his philosophy. Maybin in round 1? Levitre, Nelson, Nic Harris? 4 DBs out of 7 picks? These are Jauron's picks through Levy, IMO. Small and fast. Nix didn't draft a small OL, DL, LB or S in any of his drafts as GM.
  18. I suspect that the Bills apparent willingness to let Levitre hit the FA market without even talking to him has at least something to do with Nix's obsession with size. Levitre is not the big mauler that they seem to like on the OL. Getting bigger on OL, getting bigger on DL, getting bigger at WR. Bigger. Too bad that the bigger Bills can't even match the win totals of the small, fast Jauron teams. If a player is good you try to keep him and if he doesn't exactly fit your scheme then you change your scheme to accommodate his abilities. That's good coaching. Forget someone's size. Can the guy play or not? Levitre can play.
  19. Let me just ask what would be the strategic advantage for the Bills front office not at least opening a line of dialogue with Levitre by this point if they planned to sign him in less than a week? I can't think of one.
  20. You mean a system where only a select few can ever go see the team play live except for buying scalped tickets at exorbitant prices? That sounds awesome.
  21. Don't forget Kelvin Shepard or the dark horse Eric Pears. Lot's of candidates. I'm sure that a new whipping boy will be crowned by midway through next season.
  22. KC got raped.
  23. With or without Kyle Moore, the Bills don't have an 3-4 OLB on the roster. But they don't have a NT or ILBs either and they need help at QB, WR and CB as well so they could go anywhere with their top pick.
  24. Can you imagine if KC gave up the #1 overall pick for Alex Smith?
  25. Well now that they let David Neslon go I don't see any hope for a good season.
