  1. lmao. nothing like a QB disaster to stir up love among e/o.
  2. I have no problem with Whaley thus far.
  3. I would probably take Suh and Richardson over Dareus - they're more consistent and more disruptive IMO. That being said Dareus has certainly been a force for us this year and in the past. He's a free agent in 2016 I believe.
  4. It wouldn't be the first time.
  5. I remember reading about Marrone liking EJ prior to the draft. I just feel like it's almost impossible to get a straight answer with draft picks and how HC's feel about them. The GM makes the picks and obviously takes coaches desires into consideration but how often are GM's and HC on the exact same page on draft day. Not saying that EJ wasn't Marrone's #1 choice - he may very well could have been. I just don't know that for sure.
  6. my big gripe is that I want the red helmets back with the charging buffalo.
  7. How do you know EJ was the guy Marrone wanted?
  8. I'd venture a guess that it's not always that way. GM's can place pressure on a HC to start certain players due to contract or whatever. I mean during a game it appears obvious that any NFL coach does what they want with the roster but from week to week I'd guess that some GM's in the league have a lot of influence over who starts. Especially when we're talking about QBs - which is essentially the face of the franchise.
  9. Maybe Marrone never wanted EJ to begin with. Apparently, from what I've heard, that's the predicament that Rex Ryan is in with Geno. When asked repeatedly if he would remove Geno from a Jets game if he's struggling he repeatedly stated that's an organizational decision. Reading between the lines, it appears that Idzik and co. are specifically telling Rex he must start Geno no matter what until they say otherwise.
  10. Hahah. Imagine they really think that? "Bills fans can't take it"
  11. quite honestly, looking at our schedule and everyone else's schedules in this division, 8-8 might cut it. (as crazy as that sounds)
  12. Kyle walked off on his own, so maybe it's not season ending?? Wishful thinking.
  13. wait, was that Kitna? My apologies, i guess i don't "remember" hahaha.
  14. I remember watching that game. He came in off the street from coaching some high school team i think. Orton is a professional QB. We're not asking him to come here and put up 300+yds every game and 3TD every game. We're asking him to hit the WR that have been open and that EJ just can't see b/c of his regression.
  15. The Lions won't be the #1 Defense after we're done with them.
  16. This is the right move in my opinion. EJ needs to understand that just b/c he is being benched doesn't mean he still can't be a really good QB in this league. He needs to sit back in the sidelines for a few weeks to relax and regroup mentally. The game was clearly moving too fast for him. Lets see what Orton can do. One thing we know is that he's not a 19 QBR quarterback - so only one way to go and that's up.
  17. We can beat the Lions - look how bad the jets played yesterday and lost by 1 score. The lions are up and down. Granted, they're better at home but Calvin Johnson is a bit banged up. We need to play a mistake free game (0 turnovers) and go easy on the penalties to have a shot. The 2014 Patriots are not what they once were and are beatable. I'd take a loss vs. the Lions and a Win over Pats in a heartbeat to put us at 3-3 going into the Vikings game.
  18. No. There is better, younger talent out there. Much better.
  19. Is it me, or were young QB's benched more frequently 15-20-30 yrs ago? I feel that this entire conversation implies that benching EJ next week is the final nail in the coffin for his NFL career. Isn't that thinking kind of drastic? Bench the guy and start Orton for a couple of weeks and see how that goes. If it's a disaster, put EJ back in there after he's had a mental break. Is EJ that mentally fragile that he can't handle being benched? I hope not. We don't have that much money tied to EJ where we HAVE to start him to see what he can do. We've seen what he can do for 14 games (starting to become a fair sample size but maybe not quite there yet) and the result after 14 games is: he needs some time to regroup. This is exactly where I'm at today bro. It's clear that EJ is psyched out right now and the game might be moving too fast for him. Let him ride the pine a bit and regroup mentally. The guy wasn't a clear cut can't miss prospect coming out of college and we thrust him at starting QB from day 1. He may just need some time to absorb the league. I don't see anything wrong with that.
  20. He would start for Oakland or Minnesota next week depending on status of injured QBs. Other than that, NO.
  21. Prior to the season I had us at 2-2 going into week 5, but not by losing against the Texans. We can't possibly lose against average teams with average QB's and expect to have a winning season - especially with the quality QB's we'll be facing later in the year. On the brink of 3-1 this loss is demoralizing, especially in the manner in which it occurred.
  22. Bridgewater carted off field w ankle. Thats rough
