Are you ready to admit Orton's the problem yet?
bobobonators replied to Oberyn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ive never given 2 craps who our QB is and never will as long as the performance is there. Neither QB has performed well this season. No QBs performed well last season. CJ became a non factot when healthy. Woods has regressed. Mike Williams never plays. Chandler has disappeared. Lets call a spade a spade - regardless of the players, NH is a kid coaching against men. Hes been and continues to be out of his element. All the signs are there pointing the big fat arrow at his head for problem #1. -

Is It Time To Start EJ, Again?
bobobonators replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't have words. Further ridiculousness, just look at how EJ's numbers regressed too as the season went on: Chicago: 7.86 Miami: 7.77 SD: 6.10 Hou: 5.11 It's almost as if Hackett can't adjust to teams adjusting to us - so it just keeps getting worse as the season goes on. -
Beg, borrow, or steal but please get Cowher, or Dungy
bobobonators replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would stick two screwdrivers through both my eyes if we got Dungy. -
Yeah no idea. Then again, stop dropping passes and going out of bounds 1 yard short of the first down, and maybe he'll have a greater roll. The guy hasn't made a big play/catch all year (correct me if I'm wrong).

Maybe Marrone is rubbing off on his players b/c seeing Marrone on the sidelines you'd think his dog just died.
-
I don't remember seeing it last year.

Orton's average yards per completion by game: Detroit: 7.16 NE: 7.87 Min: 6.58 Jets: 14.0 KC: 5.4 Mia: 4.95 Jets game aside, the numbers are in steady decline. Irony is that he's now getting sacked less (only 3 sacks in last 2 games compared to 10 in the previous two games) and the offensive line is playing better, yet this offense as a whole is getting worse. Only on planet Buffalo does such a freaking thing happen. -
this thread is out of control.

LOL. Admit he was wrong about what? Going 6-10 w/ EJ and Co. last season? 2-2 w/ EJ this season with horrible, regressed production from the QB position and now 3-3 with Orton with average production from the QB position that is now on the downswing again. There's no right and wrong here. It's not like we made the playoffs last year with one QB and are spiraling out of control with the other. We weren't 4-0 with one QB this season and now 0-6 with the other either. So EJ got benched - how was that a mistake if he ends up better b/c of it?

Who gets thrown under the bus first?
bobobonators replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hard to argue with that. -
I'm not sure if changing the HC is the right answer at this juncture. I feel Marrone deserves one more year. Coordinators, on the other hand, are expendable - especially coordinators like NH who have never accomplished anything at the pro level or the college level for that matter.
-
Not gonna lie - i personally think Tannehill is not good.
-
I wanted to comment about woods too. Man has he regressed. But who hasnt in this offense under marrone and nh?

All i know is that the more EJ played in this offense, the worse he got. Now its looking to be happening to Orton. Anyone remember that pregame graphic nfl network had on Orton and where he ranked in yds/game and td/int ratio and completion %? Those numbers were pretty damn good. But now in 2 games we cant score a TD. And the Jets game masked a lot of the problems w this offense. When EJ was replaced i specifically said i wanted to see whether the problem was mostly on Ej or w NH. After getting a fair sample of games from Orton and to see how he has regressed and the offense has regressed i think its clear where the root of this offense's problems lie. The scary part is that the offensive line has actually played BETTER the last 2 weeks yet somehow the offense looks worse. What has happened to Chandler in the passing game? Watkins is somewhat injured and his targets have been limited. When hogan is ur most effective receiver 2 weeeks in a row you have problems. We are able to effectively run the ball lately but we simply dont stick with the run anymore. WHEREAS EARLIER IN THE SEASON we WERENT effectively running the ball and we'd keep trying and trying. The philosophy of this offense is MADDENING. But thats another problem - what is this offenses philosophy? I have no idea. I feel bad for EJ and Orton bc under this regime they're completely behind the 8 ball. (Sorry if post is messed up sent from phone) -
I agree - but the level of the opponent was already drilled in this past week vs. the Jets. They can't afford to do that again unless they want to start packing their bags for the season. Steelers on Monday night tends to be money - I think they own the best MNF record of any team (could be wrong).
-
Based on that list? Hands down - the Steelers in PRIME TIME. They just got embarrassed vs. the Jets and the Titans are simply a BAD team.

B/c the Redskins inspire so much confidence? Cleveland is facing Mallett and a gimpy Foster who may not even play. I admit it's not an IDEAL pick, but at this point in the season there aren't many ideal picks left. Cleveland is 4-1 at home and on a 3 game winning streak. You could do much worse than Cleveland this week. Cleveland is 2nd in NFL in INT's.

How Many Wins saves the Coaching staff
bobobonators replied to rumblefish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After going 6-10 last year I think that any less than 8-8 heads may roll. So I think 8 may be enough to save them. That's not saying I think they should be safe at 8-8..I just think that they would be given 1 more year. Also have to factor in how we lose games. If we're competitive the rest of the way vs GB, Den, NE but lose those games and finish 8-8, they're probably safe. If we get completely blown out of the water, that's a different type of 8-8. -
So this is how I see it: Cleveland is at home - major bonus. Mallett is starting his first game for the Texans - major bonus #2. Foster is clearly banged up and day to day w/ a groin - major bonus #3. Having said that, I still think this is going to be a tough game for Cleveland - Clowney should be coming back and Texans' D-line may create some havoc. I expect this game to be pretty close but feel Cleveland should come out on top by hopefully winning the turnover battle. Furthermore: looking ahead for Cleveland, this may be the "easiest" game they have left on their schedule: they play @Atl; @Buf; Indy; Cincy; @Car; @Bal. I think I prefer Cleveland at home vs. a Mallett led Texans team than Cleveland on the road vs. Atlanta. But that's just me. San Fran - this is a west coast team playing on the road in the east cost: first and only major negative. San fran is a better team than Giants but the SF defense is definitely banged up and eventually the Giants are due for a solid game from Eli & co - which is what would concerns me this week. I fully expect SF to win this game but I personally wouldn't be crazy about this pick b/c I feel SF still has 2 easier games left on their schedule: at home vs. Wash next week and then @Oak Dec 7th. I'd probably hold of on SF until one of those games. Washington: boy oh boy. Like you said, picking a "bad team" to win at this point is pretty rough. If you pick Cleveland or SF and still lose at least you can rest easier knowing that you picked the better team to win that day and there was an upset. With Washington and Tampa, both teams suck so you're hoping one bad teams defeats the other. With that being said, Washington should win this game @home and RGIII and Desean should have a field day vs. that horrible D. Remaining games for Washington at this point are @SF; @Idy; Stl; @nyg; philly; dal. That's a brutal schedule for a crap team. To me Minnesota is a better overall team than Washington and there's still one game Minnesota plays that is favorable for them and that's home vs the Jets Dec 7th. So for this week, I would personally pick Cleveland @ home. Second choice would be SF, followed by Wash. Good luck with your pick man.
