  1. Its faster after we got rid of dead weight - Marrone. Happy New Year to us indeed!
  2. Haha. What a scumbag of a human being. Go back to SYracuse and take your court jester of an OC with you. Im actually happy. I really am. What a clown. Who would want this pathetic scumbag leading men?
  3. Media obviously creates a narrative, but the media is also driven by insiders who (some) have legit connections to officials within the league that you and I don't have. Fact remains, some nfl executives have interest in Rex or else he'd be on 0 interviews right now. And like I stated earlier, there are a plethora of reasons that Rex's time in NY was ultimately a failure - some of which were his fault, and many others were not. That doesn't mean he should never get another shot at the HC gig. It's not like Rex has been a HC now on 2 different franchises and we can begin to establish a pattern. He's been HC 1x with one franchise and he did have limited success which many coaches never achieve, that in and of itself will probably give him another shot at being a HC, if not this year then next.
  4. I wonder what fans across the US would say if the question was posed two years ago: "Would you want Doug Marrone to coach your team?" It probably would been a 2% Yes / 98% No split, but yet here he is in Buffalo. He's getting interviews, so the interest is there at least.
  5. I kinda like Shane Carden - has a bit of a weird arm delivery but I could see him maybe like a Chad Pennington type QB in the NFL (at best, which would still be pretty decent)
  6. I recognize that NH started also calling many more pass plays this year than last but there was obviously a disconnect between EJ and the HC/OC and it can't all be on the HC/OC. Fact is, EJ was grossly inaccurate and had issues reading the field, and those are two problems that are hard to fix. I'm not a NH fan at all, but EJ was their guy so we can't argue that we need to develop a gameplan for him b/c that goes without saying. Maybe the more difficult reality to swallow is that EJ can't perform to the level that's required to execute at the NFL level. We'll see (I agree 14 games isn't enough, I'm just not hopeful).
  7. Who was the offense designed for, if not for EJ? NH and Marrone came here together. EJ was their guy. I don't get it.
  8. Schaub has completely fallen apart, IMO. No thanks, at all.
  9. He's really, really good at what he does well: Defense. He's also really good at getting his players ready for big games (generally speaking). His players play hard for him (generally speaking). An owner may be convinced that in the right situation, with a really good QB already in place and some offensive weapons, Rex can come in and put them over the hump. Atlanta could be one of those places. If I was an Atlanta fan, I'd probably be really interested in Rex as my coach.
  10. I suck as a poster, but man you're consistently horrible.
  11. There's no basis to believe EJM can be better next year than Orton was this year. Orton's numbers were better across the board - and in some categories, substantially better (like comp % and yds/attempt). At this point, I'd just take a continuation of EJM's rookie season (minus the injuries) b/c he looked worse off this season than he did his rookie season. I believe EJM should get a full opportunity next season to win the job and start again - I'm just not confident he'll do well though.
  12. I haven't liked the Hackett signing since Day 1. I like it less today, December 30, 2014.
  13. I can hope for EJ to succeed until I'm blue in the face but the facts are what they are: he regressed this season. And it's not like he regressed from a great rookie season - he regressed from an average (at best) rookie season. Most concerning to me is that ever after being benched this season, there were multiple games later in the season where the organization could've made him the starter again b/c Orton was playing pretty crappy yet that didn't happen b/c the organization (i.e. Marrone) still felt Orton gave us a better chance to win. Yes, a crappy Orton gave us a better chance to win than EJ according to the HC. How much god-given talent can he possibly have then? Either that or Marrone was completely wrong on EJ. But EJ is Marrone's QB. They came here together. It would be in Marrone's best interest to have EJ succeed. Yet obviously Marrone didn't see it in EJ this season. Very telling, IMO.
  14. There has to be something to it, no? or else, like you said, what's the point?
  15. Lmao. seriously. I guess if I'm Brady I also look at my wife's bank account (which is larger than mine) and start analyzing what's important at this point in my career: me getting more money or me having another shot at a SB The lives of Brady's great, great, great grandchildren have already been secured - the choice seems obvious.
  16. Yawn. His 19 QBR and 58 comp %, which both ranked at/near the bottom of the NFL, said otherwise re: him being a future star. His HC had more confidence in Orton - says a lot. But like anything, we'll see. Who cares about Florida State and college football? I could list you hundreds of QB's who were stars in college and then were crap in the NFL. And EJ wasn't even a star in college... I get you're trying to be positive, but there's already NFL film on EJ - and it's not pretty.
  17. Eh. Veteran mentor's are vastly overrated IMO. At the end of the day, EJ needs to step up to the plate and execute. EJ, like any high draft pick, has had plenty of support within the organization to learn and grow.
  18. Werent we building around EJ by drafting woods last yr and trading up for Watkins this yr? And then drafting multiple OL? Apparently EJ never got the memo.
  19. I dunno - Rex has always been more boisterous than Schwartz, IMO. Maybe it's b/c he coached in NY, I dunno. But what I heard on the radio was that he wasn't interested in it himself, so in that manner maybe he's different than Schwartz who was obviously open to it.
  20. I heard from local sports radio that people close to Rex say he's not coming back to the NFL as an assistant/D-coordinator and if he's not given another HC gig, he apparently has a lucrative TV offer lined up. I believe every word of it. At this point in his career, can anyone really picture Rex as a D-coordinator? He would be a larger character than any HC and would overshadow any HC pretty much just b/c of his persona - not a good dynamic, IMO.
  21. Could be the case but if he had THAT much pride why would he ever bench the young QB he had a strong hand in drafting? Maybe the simpler answer is true: ej sucks that much.
  22. After 15yrs im no longer annoyed. 15yrs is not an annoyance - its a reality of life. Accept it bro.
