  1. And that makes all the difference. The end.
  2. Schwartz and Rex together wouldnt work. I cant see two defensive chiefs like these guys are cohabitating. No way. Schwartz would have to go. And what would the point of that be? Rex Ryan in buffalo doesnt make much sense. Unless u guys want to let schwartz walk too..
  3. I'd take Chip Kelly in a nano second. And if Marriota is there at #3, I would have us trade any of our DL, this year's 2nd, and next year's 1st round pick to Jax to draft Marriota and have Chip Kelly run Oregon's offense. And then I would wake up from my dream with wet underwear.
  4. If we brought in Rex Ryan as HC and Schwartz was DC, who would win out in deciding scheme? Schwartz doesn't run a 3-4. Also, if we brought in Rex as HC and Schwartz was DC, we would need to sign God as an OC.
  5. If we kept Spiller no point in keeping brown, IMO. I'd rather just go Spiller/Dixon/late rd draft pick.
  6. Well said. I wish him nothing but the worst. =) (just like I do for every other NFL coach who's not on the Bills)
  7. Schwartzy HC Scott Frost OC Pepper Johnson DC
  8. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Sam Bradford. He's played a full 16 game season 2 out of his 4 years so we have a 50/50 shot..lol. He's 27yrs old and would at least be a legit option at QB. What would it cost to get him?
  9. I loved Spiller but focus on other players like Hughes and MD next yr
  10. I think the jerk argument is mostly based on how he notified players and how he hasnt said a word to Bills fans yet. Not on the exercising of his option alone.
  11. You love to argue for the sake of arguing i think. How exactly would you classify Marrone's departure from Buffalo? Its a resignation. Marrone resigned as HC of the Bills. Resign = QUIT. Yeah he fulfilled an option in his contract, an option to quit but still get paid. He didnt HAVE to quit. He couldve just stayed on as well. It required a decision by Marrone. And that decision was to resign. Theres no other way to classify this despite your attempts at semantics.
  12. I get what you're saying, it's all relative though man. Yeah, I'd LOVE a $4 million dollar severanace package, sure, b/c I make nowhere near that. Marrone was making over 1 MILLION at Syracuse as a coach and was making MILLIONS at Buffalo. $4 Million isn't THAT much when you've already been making Millions. It's relative. And others keep saying this will be his "last chance" at a payday. Really? Is he 90? He's a coach, not a player. He could go coach Rutgers or Syracuse 3 years from now and go back to making more than a Million a year if he wanted to. Reality is, he's a quitter and didn't want to be here anymore. There are people that when the going gets tough, they either hunker down, or they get going. Marrone appears to be the latter.
  13. It is - it's exercising an option to quit.
  14. You're being silly. Gailey was given 3 years and the highest win total he was able to achieve was 6 wins. I liked Gailey but he had to go, his w/l record was horrible.
  15. That's the thing, he's not guaranteed another job in the NFL. And no, not all of us would do the same thing. If I was offered an option of a crazy severance package by my company but no other job was lined up, or the option to stay with the same company, the decision wouldn't be automatic. This also wasn't his "last pay day". He made over a million a year at Syracuse as a HC. He could quite easily go back to college in the future and get another payday. He's a young coach, he's not a player with a shelf life of 3-4 years who'll be bagging groceries or delivering pizza after his playing career.
  16. hahaha..I agree man. If anything exercise would probably stimulate his mind a bit more allowing him to think clearer. But heck, what do I know. The offense played much like he looks: fat and lethargic.
  17. I think you're being really objective and I agree with a lot of your points. But #12 was in his control, and yes, he could've and should've done it better and for that I do blame him. Classless.
  18. in an imaginary world, Id want Schwartz as my HC and bring in Scott Frost from Oregon to be OC. I have a raging football boner for Frost. One can dream.
  19. I'd say it was Schwartz who should get the biggest Thank You/Hand job from Marrone. Without Schwartz leading what was arguably the #1 defense in the league (taking into account they're pretty much top 5 in every important category), Marrone would've finished 6-10 this season, 7-9 at best.
  20. In all honesty I cannot imagine a new HC coming in and going with NH as OC. No way. Even if Schwartz is made HC, I see NH gone. This is a win-win for the Bills IMO.
