Has it ever even happened? Where all 4 teams are better than 8-8 within same division? Ive gone back to 2008 and its happened several times where 3 teams are better than 8-8. In 2008 the nfc east and nfc south had all 4 teams 8-8 or better but not 9-7 or better.
I just went back all the way to 2000 and its never happened where all teams are better than 8-8 within the division.
I personally think it just comes down to the QB. People outside of buffalo cant get passed TT starting and their brains just implode. And i get it too. Im still excited as ever though.
But what real experience does TT actually have? If that were the case Jimmy Clausen also has boatloads of experience. and its two rookies that were drafted 1 and 2 overall respectively. Would you trade TT for either of them right now? I sure as heck would. So yeh I'd rank them higher right now for a meaningless article.
I think both are at play: PFF producing a silly list and homerism towards our guy. Which I get. But would regardless of where you would rank them, would you really put TT above either Mariota or Winston? Just curious.
I disagree. Where should Brock Osweiler be ranked then?
If Winston was on the Bills or Mariota we would vomit in our collective mouths if TT was ranked ahead of them. Let's be fair. The list is stupid and arbitrary but both those QBS would be ranked above TT in 100 of 100 rankings done by anyone.
It's a completely arbitrary ranking like 1000 other off season rankings. You know if TT was ranked 30th people would still complain that he should really be 20th lol
Probably has something to do with what they think of TT
I gave him two A's. This team is stocked w talent. If EJ had been able to live up to his end of the bargain a bit more this team could've made the playoffs last season already.
But Fitz is not playing against the Jets
The Jets defense is very solid - the Browns don't have a QB and they don't have any WR. This is the best matchup the Jets could possibly have week 1. Fitz is the best QB in this game and the Jets D should dominate the Browns putrid offense. And the Jets are at home.
I don't personally think the new coach argument has much weight at all.
Not my favorite matchup though. Still prefer WAS over MIA or GB over CHI
