Everyone should stop the holier than thou moralizing. The terrorists have no such moral concerns when they launch attacks against the US or other targets of the "decadent" western countries. If you're an American and you pay taxes that support the US military and groups like the CIA in their aggression toward Islamic countries and killing people all over the planet then you are not innocent. You are funding and implicitly condoning the killing and therefore complicit and a valid target. That's what our enemies think. Your compassion and kindness will be viewed by them as weakness.

Israel is looking to eliminate Iran's proxies which will leave Tehran with the option of engaging in direct confrontation or backing down. My expectation is that eventually these allegations of eating pets and poaching of wildlife will be proven to be true. The other problem is that based on reported auto accidents these Haitians appear incapable of driving or understanding traffic laws but somehow have been issued valid drivers licenses. I remember having to take a written and road test but these requirements have been waived. But before we go further, we have to play out the customary official denial game. By the numbers, by the rules. We're moving past the step where people reporting the problem are accused of simply making up stories or spreading misinformation because of some malicious motivation. Things such as months ago complaints are starting to leak out. Attached to this step is also a major theme that the common citizen is dishonest but all our elected and un-elected officials and representatives are honest people without any motivations of their own at play. It will move past denial, to admission, then excuses, then downplaying the harm or act, to disparagement of the victims, and then finally to granting victim status to the perpetrators.

All these liberals are fat, dumb, and happy with the current system no matter how corrupt or dysfunctional they know it might be. Trump is rocking the boat or a threat to derail their gravy train life. They don't care about immigrant crime gangs or others eating their pets because they certainly don't have or expect to have them living next door. But watch what happens to their cheerful disposition when trouble moves into their town or they lose 50% in their 401K in a market crash. The fun part is they believe it could or will never happen.

I would add, the proposal from @dgrochester55 is sensible but if Harris is elected anything resembling common sense which respects American citizens and immigrants that follow the rules has no chance of being implemented.

I eagerly await the Kamala Harris press conference on the attack. I'm sure there won't be one but she must be terrified over the possibilities. Not about potential war but rather the expectation she can produce a coherent statement. The government is going to run deficits of around $2 trillion annually no matter who wins in November. They never pay off a penny of the national debt demonstrated by the fact it grows higher every year. What they do is borrow or "print" more money through gimmicks like quantitative easing to pay off previous creditors with funds from new creditors. For those not familiar, that's a common trait of Ponzi schemes. It didn't start with Biden and it won't end with the next President. At some point this system of government finance is going to blow up. If you're receiving payments from the Federal government for anything, social security, food stamps, medicare, medicaid other types of assistance I'd ask you to think about that dependency and envision what impact it would have on your life when the government is no longer able to supply those services? That day will come. How will you adjust? Just when it happens is a guess.

With Trump on the scene, traditional conservatives have lost all power inside the party and are left with the choice of fading into obscurity, or knowing they can't win without the populist vote Trump brings to the party, a lifetime of second place finishes to the Democrats.
