If the talent wasn’t there how did we make the playoffs last year? Woods and Watkins did well yesterday. Seems like Allen could use them and Glenn.
As far as the six starters they drafted, not all would start for other teams, so that is misguided to say the least.
I would put Williams in the rebuild category.
Like you said we will see.
If Shady gets moved. McDermott will lose the locker room, or what may be left of it. He will send a very clear message they have little interest in winning.
I understand the protocol. I bet Shady knows how to get the test results he wants. What is in it for McCoy? Meaningless stats and a headache?
How did you know?
I won’t. Shady doesn’t need to take any chances and since this is a rebuild why waste the effort or brain cells? Losing this year is part of the process.
$0. I thoroughly enjoy games, concerts and the like but could care less about even having the autograph (unless it is on a check written to me) much less paying for it.
Same here. These days you just never know what drunk idiot you are going to run into with some axe to grind. Like the poor Giant fan at a Dodgers’ game a few years back.
Point taken but for every Walsh, Johnson, and Carroll how many coaches and organizations have done the opposite? The Bills alone have more than three. You think McDermott is in that class?
That is all true but you haven’t answered my question about why McDermott would play to his weakness.? Does he want to win or not? He preached Defense, running, and game management, right?
What does destroying the offense tell the defense?
The mastermind in NE. Let me ask you this.
Why does a defensive coach in an offense driven league weaken the side of the ball he is weakest in? He made the sandwich. The excuse of we ain’t been contenders because we are always drafting 9-12 is just that an excuse. When was the last time Belichick drafted above 20 and how often in the last 20?
The jury is still out. History in the general since is what I am alluding to. And generally teams including the Bills overpay players who take the money and run. When you have lottery money my belief is that this only exponentially increases the likelihood of the former occurring. Thereby I am insinuating the probability of this happening next year is high. Go spend huge money on Clowney and watch him turn into Super Mario.
And what FA diamonds have they mined. Teams with large war chests rarely hit on Free agents. Think Derrick Dockery and Albert Haynesworth.
Playoffs? They backed in......
