Great work Gunner as always. I would be shocked if Sanders doesn't go in the first. Watching the draft since the early 80s tells me someone will draft him in round 1. If guys like Manziel and Tebow went in the first I cant see Sanders not going in round 1. If he gets past Pittsburgh, somebody will panic and move back into the first. Hope the Giants call us at 30.

Totally agree, all defense. I would also like to not see Beane panic in the first and piss away a 4th for 2 spots.

As someone who has done a few hundred mock drafts on various sites, one thing is evident, you are at the mercy of their rankings and some of the sites are just terrible at their rankings.

I think the way this draft shapes out, I think a slight trade back out the first, gain a pick and then trade up with the 4ths to move back into the 3rd maybe the way to go. We could address a lot of holes on D with 5 picks in the first 3 rounds.

Im in on the corner. One stat the keeps sticking with me is the Bills had the 5th worst completion percentage allowed on defense. The teams that we were ahead of are the likes of the Falcons, Giants, Colts and Cards. Not going to win superbowls like that. I don't see a 1 tech changing that stat a whole lot. Thats not to say we don't need a 1 tech, we do, our run D isn't great either, and Daquon is about shot. I just would prioritize the corner as I think you're going to see a run on the corners from the start of the 2nd to our pick at 56. I don't see the likes of Tre or Dane being guys you want to start, they are depth guys. We need a lot more speed in the secondary. I think we can get the 1 tech maybe at 56. In fact I would like to see us double dip at corner with the first 5 picks. If I was Beane first 5 picks would all be defense. 2 corners, a 1 tech, a DE and a safety. Our defense has been the problem in the playoffs, we can hang with just about anyone on offense(see the Rams and Lions games last year), our defense is not championship caliber and hasn't been for a while. The Chiefs re-tooled their secondary after the 13 second game and the Eagles did also. For the WR people, I think we kept 5 WRs on the final 53 last year, with Keon, Shakir, Samuel and Palmer how much opportunity will there be for the 5th WR? How do you fit him under the cap would be my question.

One thing I have been wondering about after free agency was how many rosters spots would be available for rookies since this is a deep Dl class. I think we kept 10 DL in the final cutdown last year. Guys on week one roster as of now would be Bosa, Groot, AJE, Hoecht, Oliver, Jones, Carter, OgunJobi as the top 8 with 2 of them going on some suspended list at week one, but all should be there after the 6th game. So some young guys are going to have to fill those spots from week 1-6. One concern and maybe Im missing something is, if you are on the week one roster your salary is guaranteed for the year. Anyways looks only like maybe room left for 2 more spots. Could be more with the suspensions. There are guys like Solomon in the mix. I think everyone was hoping to get probably at least 2 DL in this draft. One thing I could see maybe mid season is a trade to another team for AJE or if no traders a cut for Daquan. The suspension will create opportunities for young guys but a problem when the 2 return from suspension. And when a decision comes in week 7, on which 2 go, Jones and AJE aren't signed for 26.

With all the DL signings I have wondered how many spots there will be for rookies. How many DL did we keep in final cutdowns last year? Especially with such a supposed strong DL draft class this is supposed to be. Honestly just asking.
