  1. Get away from my QB before your team-killing, me-first attitude gets on him you Boston slime.
  2. Exactly what a few of us have suggested: stack the edges and don't give Jackson a chance to make post-snap reads. It's a solid plan.
  3. Careful about typecasting Carmichael; a lot of folks said the same thing about Frank Reich in both SD and Philly. I mostly agree with you though. As for the OP, if by some chance both Daboll and Dorsey leave, which I heavily doubt would happen, you could see Rob Boras take the reins since he's called plays before. I suspect, however, that they could look to groom a younger guy like Chad Hall for the spot. I know McDermott loves Hall. I suppose they could also look at Derek Anderson. McDermott is big on the trust model, and Anderson is a guy that has the trust of both he and Josh Allen. He knows the scheme and many of the players. Might make sense.
  4. I predict that your account here will tear its proverbial ACL before the week ends
  5. Spacing along the DL is going to be critical. You can't exclusively line up and attack gaps against Roman; he'll pin-and-pull you to death like he did against NE. But you also can't hope to squat at the line and control multiple gaps; he'll just combo block you into the dirt. You have to use unconventional spacing and alignment combinations to throw off the OL's ability to move laterally. That lateral movement is part of what gives Jackson the extra time to eye up the defense and make his reads. If you can get a few shots on their moving OLmen and disrupt their timing, you can reduce their ability to read keys. Big game for Jordan Phillips, Star, and Eddie up front. One where they may not get the stats, but if they do the dirty work we have a shot. Then it comes down to the safeties helping out on Lamar.
  6. Defense-adjusted-value-over-who-the-heck-cares-he's-obviously-playing-well Yep. Exactly what I said up thread. Good stuff
  7. I know his WRs aren't great, but when you get nearly 3.5 seconds to throw the ball, you've got to do something with it. https://mobile.twitter.com/NextGenStats/status/1201365651425611776?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
  8. His line is fine; matter of fact he's got all day a lot of the time. Back when he was TOM BRADY, those WRs would've been fine. He did more with Reche Caldwell, David Givens, and Deion Branch than he's doing with Julian Edelman and multiple first round picks like Dorsett and Harry.
  9. I think they'd hold their own, but I also think that it's a complicated matter. You have to take away their ability to get easy yards on the ground first. I have confidence in the defensive staff's ability to confuse the QB post-snap, but they also need their athletes at LB to be available to chase down Lamar when things break down and he tries to create. True that my friend. I think safety play will be super critical (as always).
  10. I fear that the TEs would destroy you
  11. You have to stop that run game or you're dead meat. LorAx and Shaq need to have a huge game containing the edges, and the safeties will need to be really disciplined in their fits.
  12. It was obvious last year that he was in serious decline. The Pats****** knew it then, and made the run game their focus. It's even more obvious now. He's still a good QB. Honestly. But he's not going to win games with his arm anymore.
  13. This isn't far off from your Calvin Ridley take, just FYI. And I only reference it because it's the only other time where I remember you being just way out in left field
  14. Nope The idiot that decided that it was both necessary and appropriate to take the QB to the ground 4 seconds after he released the ball with 8 seconds left in a 14-point game is the guy that "started it". Beyond all shadow of a doubt
  15. Now one more time in iambic pentameter
  16. I think the point here is that it's rather irrelevant in comparison to the gravity of Pryor's situation
  17. I don't mind drafting an EDGE guy, but I'd really like to take advantage of the premium market in FA (not necessarily in lieu of, but perhaps in addition to). Between Clowney, Fowler, Quinn, and Ngakoue, you can probably land the dude you need. I would also look at trading a pick for Chandler Jones. A young, rebuilding team might be ready and willing to deal a 30 year old with a $21M cap hit.
  18. Yep. I think they'll almost certainly go EDGE in FA and WR in round 1.
  19. When I suggested such an approach in the preseason, you...well, let's just say you didn't welcome the idea
  20. If opposing coaches lose the ability to confuse Allen, they're absolutely screwed. Because if he gets a bead on what you're doing, he's gonna put it on ya like lasagna.
  21. Well, when you hear enough bull#### about being the worst 8-3 team in NFL history, eventually you start letting people know.
  22. Even Slye, as good as he's been this season, is coming off a brutal week. Kicking around the league is just not good at the moment
  23. Like I said at the time: Allen will be a fine case study for folks that believe they know what to look for in a QB. Myself included
  24. Some of us, on the other hand, saw what the rest are now seeing back before the draft and weren't fooled by the mass narrative
