  1. What am I missing? The dude gets PF penalties called in his favor every week. Josh Allen got hit in the head while sliding by 2 Cowboy defenders and it drew a "warning" for Dallas.
  2. You should have seen the venom pre-draft! He's had to back off from that nonsense significantly, but not to the point where he sounds rational (thank goodness for that, lest the posts lose their entertainment value). I think he tries way too hard to put touch on the ball. He needs to just rip it and not worry about getting picked...at least until he gets to the offseason and has time to really put in the work.
  3. Negative. Bills lost to Fitzy on TNF in the reds
  4. Agreed. I'll be shocked if Garrett isn't gone and Kris Richard isn't promoted to HC this offseason
  5. We definitely did not beat a team with the #1 offense and #9 defense on national TV 2 weeks ago.
  6. It's one of the reasons that KC is so darn dangerous; they have 3 of the best deep ball trackers in the game in Hill, Hardman, and Watkins--who, for all his faults, is otherworldly in his ability to track down deep throws.
  7. Knox just needs more time; I'm told that TE is the most difficult position for a rookie to make the leap from college to the NFL ? In all seriousness: great thread. Incredibly encouraging to see his development vs the blitz. This kid is going to be good.
  8. Look who finally woke up! I've been "jrobering" all day regarding Knox. I sound like a fool, don't I? If you haven't caught it yet, the point is that you've made every excuse in the book for Knox, and literally every one of them applies to Allen. And even though 4 different posters have pointed this out, you just keep right in rollin' with it.
  9. 55 catches seems realistic...provided he gets 140 targets since he'll drop 60 of them
  10. Yep. Timing has been an issue all year on the deep throws. They'll get it, but it's honestly not a priority because they manage to move the ball well and score when they need to for the most part. Dude, you're not supposed to call it out so obviously; take the more subtle approach...it's more fun ?
  11. All you need to be convinced of the full-on damage control effort is to hear Peter King. He basically said that the league should sweep it under the rug and quick
  12. Denver-top 6 defense overall and against the pass? Doesn't count because reasons. Dallas-#9 overall defense, #7 vs the pass, and 9th in YPA allowed to opposing QBs? Doesn't count because reasons. Washington-#11 overall defense and #11 against the pass? Doesn't count because reasons.
  13. Of course they do. Nothing to see here. Un. *****. Believable.
  14. Huh. Didn't realize that Dallas has the #9 overall defense, and is ranked 9th in YPA allowed to opposing QBs
  15. Exactly. Belichick has to be the most smug, arrogant, self-aggrandizing a-hole to walk the planet if he thinks anyone will buy the "I didn't know" defense
  16. You have to realize that nobody could take you seriously at this point, right?
  17. So are you saying that... Good players at any position don't grow on trees? That good prospects don't enter the league as finished products? That some players need time to refine their game, and in some cases even to develop basic skills that are required of the position? That a guy with relatively little experience at his position may take longer to develop than others? That it's criminally stupid to focus only on what a young player does poorly and ignore what he does well and what he can learn to do well? Asking for a friend.
  18. Nope. Spending a first on a TE is a wasted resource--they rarely produce enough. But there's no reason to sign Tyler Kroft instead of Jared Cook, who's clear and away better than anything they have now. Or they can go get Henry or Hooper or Ebron in FA. Point is, don't put a guy on the field that can't catch
  19. There are very basic skills that an NFL player at his position needs to have coming into the league. Being able to catch an easy pass is one of them. He routinely drops throws that hit him cleanly in both hands. That isn't going to go away; drops just don't improve in the NFL. You can be patient with him if you want; I say get a real TE.
  20. I'm "suggesting" that a pass catcher that can't catch the ball is not much of a pass catcher.
  21. So many excuses for Dawson Knox. Does it take 2-3 years to learn how not to drop a critical pass that's right in your hands uncontested? Because he does it every week. You can either catch the ball or not. Drops don't improve in the NFL.
  22. That part is easy to explain: pro scouts do advanced scouting of other teams. The part that can't be explained away is why they only got permission from the visiting team.
