  1. Reese's PB cups is obviously number 1, and Snickers is clearly number 2. Butterfinger is good, but the 5th Avenue bar is superior--slightly better flavor and the peanut-buttery insides don't cake up on and between your teeth.
  2. It all stems from some deeply rooted desire to blame 17 years of futility on one person, which--I believe--in turn stems from the complete disbelief that many different faces could perform so poorly over that time span. In truth, the reason to blame Russ is if you thought that Whaley was a bad choice for GM, since he's the guy that steered that ship. And if that's your beef with the guy, then you should be happy that he's not hiring the new GM.
  3. I'm a racing fan for sure...in fact, every year in the days leading up to the Derby, I make sure to rewatch the 1973 Triple Crown races to remind myself of just how incredible Secretariat really was in his day. I feel like the conditions today will throw things for a loop. A horse like McCracken or Classic Empire may have a better shot than they otherwise would in pristine conditions. Of course, the best story that could ever happen would be for Patch to take it home, but I doubt that's a real possibility.
  4. Way too early for any type of definitive evaluation of QBs Guys I'll be watching closely include: Baker Mayfield Jake Browning Josh Allen Josh Rosen San Darnold Lamar Jackson Jarrett Stidham Mason Rudolph And several others as well
  5. Jordan Todman is a guy that could come in and perhaps replace Gillislee. He's had limited carries the last 2 seasons, but has had an average YPC of over 5.5 for 3 straight seasons.
  6. He's going to be our new punter for sure--I actually advocated for drafting him as a punter and KO specialist
  7. I had Evans as a top-6 pick in that draft.
  8. If the target trend continues, he will. As I've said over and over on this board: the biggest predictor of WR production, by far, is quantity of targets.
  9. It's fine to say that you didn't support the trade-up. It's patently incorrect, however, to call Watkins a bust. He has over 2,000 receiving yards and 17 TDs in his young career; he will turn 24 years old next month. For context: Sammy Watkins ranks 5th all time in receiving yards accumulated before age 23. Go ahead and opine that Whaley gave up too much in that trade; there's an argument for that. There is no argument, however, for calling Watkins a bust.
  10. If he doesn't, then it can only mean one of 3 things: 1) Sammy is injured and can't play at all this year 2) Dennison is wholly unqualified to design a passing offense 3) The team has no plans to offer Sammy a 2nd contract
  11. First, I didn't say he was de facto elite; I said that when he's on the field he performs at an elite clip on a per-target basis. I've said repeatedly that the largest impediment to his success on the field is lack of targets, followed pretty closely by availability issues. As to the 70% number, well, it's higher than the percent of games played by Julio Jones and Antonio Brown through their first 3 seasons, so perhaps we can hold off on that talk for a second.
  12. I think there's a legit 50/50 shot that Peterman becomes a solid backup in this league...for me, that'd be just fine for a Day 3 pick. I figured he'd go a lot earlier than that because of how high QBs can get pushed up the board.
  13. I had Cook as a R2-R3 guy that I thought would get over-drafted, but I figured it'd be okay as long as he went to a team with an established starter and a good coach: Connor Cook – Michigan State, 6’4”, 220 lbs, Senior http://draftbreakdow...enn-state-2015/ Notes (time in video relating to note): - General comments: He’s got some raw material for sure, but there’s a lot that needs to be cleaned up. He has a lot of wasted movement in his upper body, and he gets a bit sloppy with his back foot on his follow-through, which causes some balls to sail (especially boundary throws). He also needs to protect the football better. On the plus side, he scans the whole field and seems to process things quickly. - (0:12) gets loose with his upper body and exposes the ball during his drop-back - (0:26) gets the ball out quickly on the screen; better ball placement expected - (0:52) love this play—gets through the play-fake quickly and delivers an accurate deep strike. Ball’s gone in under 4 seconds, which is nice on a PA deep throw. - (1:30) there’s the loose footwork again - (2:10) doesn’t set his feet to throw, and it costs his receiver a YAC opportunity - (2:50) this is a small play, but I like it. He climbs forward in the pocket and uses his safety valve, picking up 7 yards on 2nd-and-10. - (3:17) maddening and impressive at the same time; he doesn’t drive off his plant foot at the back of his drop, which forces him to muscle the ball to the boundary. That said, it’s a big-time throw that flashes arm talent. - (3:51) fits it into a very tight window…maybe too tight. I think that ball gets picked in the NFL. - (4:46) a couple of really nice play-fakes back-to-back. Summary: This was my favorite of Cook’s games that I watched this year. What I like is that the positives he has (pocket presence, quick decision-making, field vision) can’t be taught, and the deficiencies (wasted movement, sloppy footwork, ball security) can. I think the end of round 1 is a great landing spot for him—a team like Arizona could afford to give him a year or two behind Carson Palmer for Bruce Arians to coach him up. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/184219-2016-draft-qb-thread/page-3?do=findComment&comment=3837487
  14. No. What other teams did or didn't do has zero impact on Buffalo's situation with Watkins.
  15. Except that he's started over 70% of the games that the team has played since he's been in the league, so "can't stay on the field" is simply incorrect.
  16. You're missing a key distinction: if they pick up his option, he's under contract, whereas if they tag him, he doesn't have to sign it, and therefore would not be under contract
  17. And the bold is what I keep coming back to: for a guy that's never been fully-healthy, he's absurdly dominant when given the appropriate level of focus in the passing game...and no, "absurdly dominant" is not an overstatement when we apply context to the situation.
  18. Certainly could happen--you know for a fact that his agent will take the cumulative total of 2 years of franchise tags and use that as the bare minimum in guaranteed money in the first 2 years of the deal.
  19. Which means that your starting point for a contract extension post-2017 would be for $35M guaranteed. It would probably have to be something similar to AJ Green's 4-year, $60M deal with slightly more than Green's $32.5M gtd.
  20. His previous contract was 3 years and $12M FWIW
  21. FWIW, here was my breakdown of Peterman back in February: Nathan Peterman - Pitt Notes (time correlates to comment): (0:12) first, I like that he can take a snap from under center; thems are bonus points (0:19) good job scanning the field and finding the leak (0:36) I don’t care if this is a massive hold, he does a nice job of scrambling here (1:08) holds the ball just long enough to let his man come open; gutsy (1:25) accurate throw off his back foot while under duress (1:38) good velocity over the middle (1:56) everything but the throw is solid here-way too much on that one…the next 2 throws, however, are money, and come off his back foot again. Not sure he gets away with that at the next level, but impressive nonetheless (3:45) sometimes you need to know when NOT to make a throw; this would be one of those times (4:11) right idea to step into the pocket; need to protect the ball or make the throw sooner (5:05) I like that he climbs the pocket, but you’ve got an offside call here; take a shot Summary: I was much more impressed with Peterman than I expected. He’s willing to hold the ball and throw 50/50 passes, which tells me that he’s not afraid to make mistakes. Sometimes, however, his awareness fails him both in the pocket and down the field. His unbalanced footwork will cause his intermediate throws to sail on him from time to time as well. I’m giving him a R2 grade based on the tools.
  22. Not sure if you've noticed, but $30M is NOT a lot of cap space anymore. Tag Sammy, and you're down to $13M in cap space--$23M if it goes up another $10M. Then, figure you still need to find a QB, 2 LBs, a DT, and fill out a roster that has only 54 guys under contract.
