  1. No, it wasn't...I know this is popular because Russ was quoted as saying "don't let him leave the room", but by all accounts it was a Pegula hire. I've been over it ad nauseum on this board. The Pegulas had their crack at Rex. Whaley had his crack at Rex. Terry's quote was "once we knew he was our guy, Russ said 'don't let him leave the room'". Very clear: Russ told the owner to move fast if this was their guy...he's a yes man.
  2. No...it means that the owner has changed his mind on his team's GM. This really isn't the big mystery you're making it out to be...all of the information is laid out, very clearly, for us to follow. No problem. No, the Pegulas wanted Rex...Russ was just a "yes man".
  3. http://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/1207698-bills-whaley-to-keep-roster-control-with-mcdermott-hired "If he's hired by this GM..."
  4. I would definitely be in favor of Guerin; moreso than Botteril for sure.
  5. You're STILL wrong about this
  6. Actually, the Mike in McDermott's scheme is responsible for a lot more than that. It's a lot of sideline-to-sideline play against the run, yes, but it's also quite a lot of zone dropping and blitzing. I think Reggie is a possible fit, but I do worry about his ability to zone drop *ducks oncoming fist from Blokes*
  7. Yeah...lucky guesser he's not.
  8. And we thought it was bad having Gronk in the division for 10+ years...we better hope that the Jets never find a QB
  9. I have my moments
  10. Solder is still their LT...Vollmer retired
  11. Not sure I understand the point here: it's a mistake to take a WR in round 1 for the reasons you state, but it's fine in round 2? I thought the point was to get better on the field, and improving upon a passing game that has ranked dead last in the NFL for 2 consecutive years seems like a good idea to me.
  12. Oh yeah...I love the ice cream addition to many of their breakfast confections. Every time I get the strawberry waffle I automatically get ice cream.
  13. Appreciate the sentiment man. I think it's a combination of things that makes Davis the pick at 10. I think, from the start, that he's an excellent value at 10 because he carries No.1 WR potential; a complete receiver. He's also a really high character kid. I do think that it can be argued that LB is a greater need, but unless they've got a serious crush on Foster or Reddick, it would be difficult to advocate for Jarrad Davis at 10.
  14. I'm not big on trade-backs myself You do love your TEs!
  15. The only other guy that would really shock would be McCaffrey...maybe Lynch's Stanford connection?
  16. Sounds like Greg thinks Fournette is going No. 2 overall.
  17. My wife says this about me all the time.
  18. No idea...I did see (literally just now on PFT) that his agent posted a video of him doing running/cutting drills, so clearly he's working at it. I would definitely kick the tires on him though.
  19. I would assert that John Miller and Cyrus Kouandjio were trending upward at the end of last season...maybe Kevon Seymour as well. Beyond that, I'd agree with you
  20. If you're accusing Blokes of "regurgitating" media rankings, then you haven't been paying attention. This dude lives and breathes player evaluation. You don't have to agree with him (he and I have some great debates over players), but his work is outstanding; his player evaluations are must-read material.
