  1. I wonder if the Eagles would do it for Jason Peters
  2. I think he's going to want the same kind of money as Donald. Former #1 overall pick, hugely productive, versatile, still young; it's all there.
  3. He wasn't after his first 2 seasons, but since 2016, he's been absolutely dominant. From 2016-2018, only 2 defenders have more than 50 TFLs cumulative: Clowney (54) and Aaron Donald (59).
  4. Looks like Ford missed the communication from Nsekhe that the stunt was coming, so Ty squeezed down.
  5. Yep. I'm happy to call out a bad throw when I see it...like the 3rd down throw to Zay that was in the dirt on the first series. But good grief.
  6. The ball was out in 2 seconds. That's not late.
  7. Was he? I didn't see that. I mean, I saw some crazy folk on this board do that, but not much from the masses. I did, however, see multiple analysts say that Allen put it on Zay, and Zay's drop resulted in him getting hurt.
  8. I'm trying to figure this particular poster out...I'm not 100% sure that he's serious about what he's saying. It may, in fact, be a shtick.
  9. Make sure you let Belichick know that: https://www.patriots.com/news/joint-practices-provide-patriots-an-opportunity-to-jell
  10. That's true. Plus, we're not exactly talking about a limited field of pass rushers in 2020 free agency. In addition to Clowney and Ngakoue, guys that are currently slated to hit the UFA market include: Dante Fowler, Ziggy Ansah, Shaq Barrett, Markus Golden, Vic Beasley, Bud Dupree, Brooks Reed, and Mario Addison. Then there are the guys with enormous, untenable cap hits like Von Miller, Calais Campbell, Chandler Jones, and Cameron Jordan. Believe me, there will be options at pass rusher. Now, that's not to say that the Bills shouldn't be looking at Clowney; they most certainly should. He's a perfect fit for this defense, and he's another chess piece that they can move around the way they have with LorAx, Edmunds, Shaq, and Hyde.
  11. Tell that to the Bears. Just look at what Mack did for their D.
  12. No worries. You're right that he was clearly a better WR here than he's been since leaving. I just believe that the self-inflicted loss at the WR spot still hurts the team to this day.
  13. Pretty simple: the team went from having a WR that could threaten defenses at every level to having zero WRs that any D.C. even paid mind. And they did it of their own volition when they had the player's rights for 3 more seasons uncontested.
  14. I wasn't aware that he was solely responsible! I also wasn't aware that eking into the playoffs and proceeding to score 3 whole points qualifies a QB for the "franchise" label! Let's face it: "trade a mid round pick for the best WR in football" is a much, much, much less insane take than "I hereby proclaim Tyrod Taylor a franchise QB".
  15. What??? When was the last time a Bills' pass catcher even sniffed 700 yards in a season? His departure didn't cost us? He had over 2,000 yards receiving in the '14/'15 seasons playing on an offense that threw the ball less than any other unit in the league (this despite playing with a QB triumverate of EJ Manuel, Kyle Orton, and Tyrod Taylor). Further, to say that this wasn't a good football team at the time is kind of crazy. The team was loaded on offense: McCoy, Watkins, Woods, Goodwin, Hogan, and an offensive line that was performing near the top of the league. As for what the trade returns contributed, EJ Gaines missed parts of 8 games that season, and the pick that came back was used in a trade. Lastly, why would they have kept Watkins? Probably so that they didn't have to spend $16M in free agency this season to bring in multiple players that they're hoping will produce 80% of what Watkins produced here when healthy.
  16. I don't mean to make this about Watkins, but boy do I disagree there. They didn't have to extend him, all they had to do was pick up his 5th year option, which would've paid him a bit over $10M (totally reasonable considering Tyrell Williams is currently getting $11M). After that, they could've tagged him for 2 straight years. They basically gave up on him 3 years early, and as a result they've had nothing that resembles a downfield threat at WR for 2 full seasons.
  17. Are we still allowed to laugh at you for knowing that Tyrod Taylor is a franchise QB?
  18. Vlad is a really, really nice guy. That's about all I'm going to say here.
  19. Nope. Totally false. He started game 1 of the 2018 preseason against Carolina. Perhaps you consider Kuechly, Davis, Short, Addison, etc to be backups, but Carolina didn't.
  20. That's categorically false
  21. The game is a full second slower in the preseason. It's the same reason why EJ Manuel typically looked solid against backups. Things happens slower, so the decisions are easier, and a weaker arm is sufficient.
  22. Even with Morse out, they have Feliciano and Long that can play center.
  23. This is OT4 insurance/competition for Conor McDermott
  24. For the record, this post was directed to a poster that legitimately hadn't watched the game and was genuinely asking a question.
  25. You...don't believe that there's a connection between Hauschka making 18/20 FGs prior to the hit from Henry Anderson, and then making only 4/8 (while leaving 2 sub-50-yard attempts short) after that hit? Well, that's interesting to say the least. As to the OP, yes, I'm concerned about the entirety of the kicking game.
